I have had several times when the HUD slid so far to the right I could not see the E bracket and the VV. Also, many times the compass was frozen when I opened a mission., and stayed that way.

So, HP’s published estimate was always true, because they would never try to surprise their customers or their competitors. Oh, wait... I don’t know if it will be next week. That is just what one person at Connection told me today. If I’m wrong, sue me.

Isn’t the camera view your view? If it moves up and down, isn’t that because the seat is going up and down? I set the seat once each flight, and never have a reason to move it again. Why do you?

The Font This is indeed the “gold standard”. But the font size presents a real challenge to these old eyes, and those of others. I would suspect the idea was to keep the download size in check. But damn. :)

I just read this from a review dated 6/1/20. You may have already seen it. But, it was good news to me and my measly 1080 GPU. “As for the headset itself, the company revealed that it’s planning 60Hz mode and half-resolution modes. These should help the headset run on PCs that struggle with its beefy specs.”

How do our specs compare? If I got a 1080ti or a 2080, I wonder if anything else would need to be changed. Not too computer literate. :)

I don’t know who “we” is, but in the ~12 months I spent on the Shangri-la’s flight deck, it was done “often”. Possibly things have changed.

As they move up towards the launch area, planes are often chained temporarily. To do that in the sim would take more animated deck crew and programming. Not worth it. Planes not being flown are chained down at their parking spot.

I have days when I can’t make a good landing. Some days, I do. It’s me, no doubt about it. Practice is supposed to help, but I have the feeling I may have reached my level of incompetence. When you said “it doesn’t work for the F18” did you just mean dialing radios, or the F18 in general? I fly the F18, and was about to get VAICOM, so am wondering.

I never said VA was better. Only that VAICOM needs VA to work. And no, I haven’t tried it, yet. When I do, I hope to be pleasantly surprised.

Totally disagree. Since Vaicom “needs” Voice Attack, IT is the one that is required.
