  1. Tried it on 2.0 and the weather panel does not come up in the ME for me. As in the -whole- weather panel is missing... Guessing there's a little bit of code difference from 2.0 and 1.5. Sucks, great addition to the game. Keep up the good work!
  2. Yes this! Forgot about that. It can make all the difference in the world. First time I accidently adjusted it from what I thought was good and... wow... big change.
  3. SummaBeech.. This works now? I had no idea. LOL, guess I missed that. I remember copy/pasting between the two didn't work originally. Never saw that that was a fix. Derp. Glad I surfed this therad.
  4. Doubt I'll be able to jump in the Rift today... Don't play on Beta and since stable is now updated...? Same question as above? Any Rift folks...? New model stuff better/worse/same for VR? Thanks.
  5. Did you up the Pixel Density in the VR tab? With that set up you should easily be able to go to 2.0. 99% of the gauges should be readable then, and those that are still just a smidge fuzzy can be picked up using the VR zoom.
  6. I can click them no problem. To echo the other guys. Are you running DCS in full screen via Ctrl-Enter after DCS starts? If I don't do this and try to click on the lower buttons, even with mouse trap enabled, I usually end up hitting my Windows toolbar... If you are and they're not working... Dunno man, have had no issues like what you're describing with the Rift in the current DCS build.
  7. Cool, thanks. Well the way I read it to get all the extra cues you had to do it this way... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. BLUF: Would anyone be willing to create some small pieces of dirt road and small pieces of train track? ------- So last night I was using some of the 476th range objects to lay out an accurate SA3 site. It's really starting to look great with their dirt mounds around each launcher and the two radars in the middle a bunker and some of their other objects places around what represents the reload vehicles off to one side. That alone made the site look much cooler and easier to spot from the air. What I realized was missing from the photos online was the dirt pads and roads running from the launchers to the radar to the command bunker to the reload area. It seems like if we were able to lay some paths down they could be seen from the air it would really finish it off and they would be useful for other things military bases excetera. By way of example define object from the 476th pack. If you were to remove the tires and chop that up into say a 20-foot 100 foot + 300 foot piece and a piece with a 45 or 90 degree turn on the end a guy can make lots of things. Basically ditto all the above but with pieces of rail. I would love to be able to give it a go myself but I just don't have time to teach myself that many programs :-) Thanks in advance if anyone takes interest in this. Sage PS: big thanks to all of you mod makers especially vehicle an object guys they really had a lot to the game for me.
  9. Getting ready to try to teach myself this. Quick question if you're a cheater like me and use the no alignment warm up or drift. :-) Do you still need to update the nav point prior to the offset? Like it talked about using the radar on a water tower or something, or will it just stay good like all the other nav points do?
  10. +1 Audacity is super simple and like they said completely free. Check YouTube, I think Ranger79 has a tutorial on what he does too make his voice overs

Ok, so not "off" different mode whatever.... why does it not work in 1.5.5? Should the functions in the aircraft not remain the same?
  12. That's awesome news! Glad it worked itself out. Only, 312 more "F10 not working in VR" threads to spam that to Wags. :) :)
  13. Cool thanks
  14. Sorry, didn't mean for a plane mod. Meant how those ai planes "work" code wise for jamming. What "rules" they follow etc for range, burn through etc.

When were you going to share this with the rest of your group? Or did you just want to keep it to yourself and look cool while the rest of us bounced around like Flipper on meth....[emoji12] [emoji12] [emoji12]
  16. Subscribed. Great idea Matador! I wish I had the skills to help, but I'll have to just stick with offering words of encouragement. :) Need to bring up BMS here... There are available EW planes there... Maybe someone on those forums have already discussed the "game" principle behind them. Could be used to work your script around... I'll have to check as I'm curious now. The real world type missions this opens up is pretty freaking cool.
  17. So just recently I put down a bunch of trigger zones haphazardly around the FLOT. Then set it to if the player planes were in a zone of the FLOT and below x altitude then a continuous trigger ran with random values to cause explosions and white smoke markers in the zones. It worked, but only sometimes. I'm sure it had to to with my trigger logic layout being off, I just need to stare at the trigger list until my eyes bleed to see where I went wrong. When it did work though, it looked really freaking cool flying over it. Like there was an actual tank/artillery battle going on. Edit: Follow on question. Does an explosion set to a zone happen in the middle of that zone no matter the size of the zone? I couldn't tell. Follow on, follow on question: I've been searching the forums for info about the explosion value in the ME. Unfortunately it's some pretty generic search words so the returns are large... If there is one, would someone mind linking a post/doc/etc. that has some decent detail on explosion value= to warhead size? Thanks again guys. Really enjoying, and at the same time hating myself for trying, learning the ME. It all -almost- makes sense to me now. :)
  18. Oh awesome, did not realize that's what that meant. Cool thanks.
  19. Ok, so now that I'm finally using this.... Ability to make presets in the overlay/set a hot key to change them. Ability to turn on/off freq limit/real world limitations on the overlay. Would those two things be something that could be implemented in future updates if you decide it's worth it? The first I ask as a VR user... for when you're stuck in an FC3 aircraft it is Hella rough to switch freqs since you either have the mouse locked to dcs or are in full screen mode. The second is not near as important, just something I noticed building a mission last night. The squad is flying F5's and M2KCs but for this mission I have one guy in an su25t for sead and a guest flyer who only has the su27. From a strictly game play pov, it would be great to be able to cheat the two Russian fc3 planes to mimic the mirage radio. When the 18C comes, less important as you don't need the 25t anymore, but just something I was thinking about. Take care, Sage EDIT: Guess if the second thing could happen it would need to be something that can be allowed/not allowed on the server side part of the program so it didn't become an actual cheat for those that use it on public servers...
  20. As a VR flyer especially... man that would be sweet. The F10 map pulls you out of the cockpit and back into the virtual hanger... Having the ability to live update your in 'pit kneeboard... :shocking: So cool. Honestly I would first like to be able to move it down to my virtual knee and rotate it. I bet both of these things can be done just need some smart bored guy to whip up a mod. :) Until then, as a guy who does not play PvP I still think the F10 map annotations are going to be a great help for co-op game play.
  21. Wow really? So it's the terrain stuff that is breaking it? I remember it worked in 1.5 originally, then went all goofy after one of the updates. I'm not on 2.0 near as often, didn't even know it was broke on there at one point... I've gotten fairly used to it being gone at this point but there are times it would come in handy. I remember someone said the accidentally fixed it themselves. Skate, are you aware of any work a rounds to fiddle with a config file or something and get it working locally? I'm more than fine with having to do a DIY fix if there is one. I fully get that while it's a decent bug, it has to be way down on the priority list for tackling officially since all these things are going to be mashed together in the near future. Thanks for the update. Sage
  22. Fingers crossed that the fiddling around to add the f10 markers accidentally fixed it
  23. Well just think of it as DCS's version of a BFT. Should really help out CA real person JTAC's as they can't send in game to the A-10's but can now mark on the map. Should be a major helper to CA folks in general. Again, without seeing how it's implemented yet, I'm sure it will be something that's able to be shut off sever side. I just hope that even if a person shuts it off that that doesn't kill you being able to make your own marks, that are only visible to you. Also, really hope implementing this has the bit of code in it that fixes the F10 Map for us VR users in 1.5. Now of course the annoying part in MP is going to be if this is on and the F10 map is just full of "You suck." "No -you- suck." "Random curse words." Hope there is a way for someone to delete other peoples marks. It's going to happen, hell we constantly did it through the chat on our real BFT's. :music_whistling::D:D
  24. I think it's something that's been missing for far too long and I am super excited to see it implemented. Now I have the ability to pre brief and Mark threats prior to Flying a mission I think it's going to be awesome for online cooperative play with virtual squadrons. As for competitive multiplayer I'm sure there will be a server-side option to turn it off.
