  1. Thanks! I could have wasted a lot of time. :wallbash: :) It looks awesome, hope he is able to get it up and running again.
  2. So... Is this working in 1.5? I ran the test.miz.... and it did not seem to work... I updated to the current MIST in that test miz and still most of the SAMS did not shoot.... The only other change I made was making the SU25T's AI so I could watch it on my PC that doesn't have my HOTAS on it... would that have broke it? If not... just not working right now or did I not know what I was looking for to see if it was working? Thanks.
  3. Cool I think I'll pick one up. I use voice attack so I'm almost never on the keyboard now. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  4. Yep. That's it. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  5. Crap I wish I would have known about this thing before I let a hundred and twelve family members sweat all over my Rift yesterday when they all tried it out LOL. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  6. True that. The mod is very fun. But can't wait for a clickable cockpit again. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  7. Okay cool thanks for the info I guess I need to subscribe to the bugs thread :-)
  8. So I installed Star starways texture pack + 1.5 when flying a mission in the rift my F10 map view showed only a grey screen with the icons visible. On my computer without the rift F10 map was normal. Anyone else have this problem with the F10 in the rift not sure if it's a VR thing or a texture pack thing that's the only mod I had. 9. So not near my PC to download yet... From what I've read this is basically like how BMS does it right? The overlay, is that always on or if you're in a full fidelity module it's off? Also, if this works like I think I understand it does... Ciribob, you're my new DCS hero! Not having to go through TS, thank you Jebus! TS plugin installs is what keeps us away from the other radio mods out there as some folks really don't like to mess with TS. Can't wait to try it out.
  10. You're in good hands Grizz. Striker is an A-10 guru, 75th will get you set up. If you haven't yet... YouTube is your friend. There are some just awesome tutorials out there for the A-10C, the 476th guys, Gerry... forgot his last name, Irish guy I think, Bunyap, Picknthatbanjo... and many others. Just put in DCS A-10C tutorial into the search bar and you're off. Good luck and welcome to the Sim.
  11. I used to crack up watching the people in the DK2 riding a roller coaster and falling over. Had a hard time finding an app for the CV1. Just found this on Steam, NoLimits 2. It's a roller coaster building game, however there is a 3 coaster free demo. Great for showing off the Rift to friends and family real quick. And to watch them fall over. :) Different subject. ED, don't make changes to the model enlargement! I agree with folks that on regular screens, it's not great, as the distant sprites are way to big. However in VR they're perfect. We were in several AI BVR and dogfight engagements last night, and with model enlargement on LARGE, in the distance I notice just a small dark.... "smudge" against the sky that is just enough to catch my eye. Feels way more real in the rift. So if you change them in future patches, please leave the option to leave them the old way too.
  12. That's good news. Have to admit, I've been a little worried about the Rift's future. I love mine, and for DCS it seems to be the stronger platform (just going by the reviews) but it appeared Vive might be winning the overall market... Glad to see MS is interested in the Rift. Hopefully that means both VR systems will be here to stay.
  13. I think we started back in February... That's when we hooked up with the virtual 113th and Jar really helped us out those guys were very friendly and welcoming. Most of us were A10 C guys before that. We are all pretty excited for the F5 though probably will take a break from The Hornet mod when it drops. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  14. Anybody with a VR headset done any CA yet? I honestly haven't tried it. Better? Worse? Same?
  15. Did you get to try it out yet Kuky? It's amazeballs. :) Also, Oculus store summer sale! I grabbed a bunch of stuff. The Apollo 11 is just... wow. Also picked up Elite Dangerous... I bring this up because I never fly with the pilot model on... However Elite has that moving pilot body... It's so well lined up I kept getting annoyed when the left arm of my pilot did not lift up when I took my hand off the throttle. My brain was convinced that that was my arm and should be moving too. I'm going to have to turn on the pilot bodies in the DCS planes that have them. I had no idea how much that adds to the immersion factor. Heck, even the little kids games I got for my daughter are better in VR. I officially can never go back to non-VR when it comes to gaming/sims. Selling my Xbox and Track IR as soon as I get a chance to list them. So happy ED is rocking when it comes to VR support. Great job ED guessing the future (that's right, this usually grumpy customer just told ED "great job" :))
  16. So seriously report on the zoom? :-) I'm curious to see how they implemented it and not near my computer. :-) Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  17. Oh, the mouse bind was in this update too? I I missed that awesome. I might have to bite the bullet and download 1.5 beta just to play around with all this stuff. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  18. It's at the very bottom of the update thread they said they are going to run it in the beta for about a week work out the kinks and then update 1.5 and then 2.0. So the best guess is 2 to 3 weeks for 2.0. I don't run the beta I'm curious to hear anyone's reviews of how the zoom works. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  19. Awesome glad it worked. Yeah it's not like it turns it into 4K or anything :-) but to me it's definitely worth doing if you can pull it off with your system. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  20. Just saw this on the Reddit thread... Have you tried this already? Could at least tell you if it's just your eyes not seeing it or it's actually not working... "Using the Oculus debug tool. Enable the performance window (it's displayed in rift) and select the type 'Layers'. Then pixel density is shown on the last item in the list. EDIT Using this method is a good way to see if the pixel density override has worked. Changing the pixel density for Oculus Home seems to have no effect either for me, ironically enough."
  21. Just to double-check you guys are starting Oculus home then starting the debug making your change and then starting DCS? My DCS is installed on a secondary drive so not the default location and it still works for me so I'm not sure that's it. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  22. Clear is a strong word... Able to be read without straining? For me yes. 1.6 is what I found works for me. With that the HUD is clear and crisp as are most dials and the ones I could not read before are able to be read without having to focus on them for a long period of time.
  23. True. Not sure. I don't think anyone has mentioned one....
  24. I'm not Greek, but I'm in the pics, so thank Bedouin. :) The Greenie Board on our site is all Case I/Daylight right now. We're getting pretty good at them but wanted to perfect them before we moved on to Case II and III. Also, half of us are in the Rift now and the NVG's don't work in the mod so that's another reason we haven't tried night landings yet. Sage
