  1. Everything relating to the F-14 was included in scommander2's quotes above. If we're lucky the Devs may've encountered some long-term problems inherent to the F-14 (like the loop of the sound effect for the ejection seat arming switch, for example), whilst testing of the early A and incorporated those fixes. What's frustrating is someone will come on here any minute and say 'What long-term problems?'. My hope is that whilst they march onwards and upwards with the Phantom and beyond, they at least glanced at the list @scommander2 has kindly collated, to refresh their memories.
  2. The lockable twist version, which is the one I would have bought, is now showing out-of-stock.

  3. I'm not sure it's related but there is an issue of AI fuel probes not aligning with the basket (and not taking on fuel) when the tanker is in a bank. When the tanker goes wings level, the probe pops into position and all is okay.
  4. Why would they discontinue the F-14 stick (in the first post) if it was compatible with the upcoming FFB Base?
  5. If they are developing a FFB base, why wouldn't they make the F-14 stick backward compatible? They've discontinued it, so I don't understand.
  6. Virpil do very nice quality stuff. I have their Mongoose throttle. I was waiting for them to do a force feedback base and expected this F-14 stick to be useable with that base. I guess that's not happening now, so there's no point in me buying one.
  7. The power has to be on! I'm an idiot. Sorry everyone.
  8. Confirmation that HB are aware of this issue, so you'll be glad to hear I can stfu about this for a while
  9. The hand pump used to deploy the fuel probe bit-by-bit. You didn't need to accumulate pressure, pumping had an immediate effect. Now the needle never moves no matter how many times you pump and the fuel probe doesn't budge. In the following video you can hear me operating the hand pump. The sound stops once I speed up time (as you can see from the clock), but I am pumping the whole time and the needle never moves. What am I doing wrong? 10. Is the issue with FFB and ACLS on the list? Because earlier in this thread you said this: To which I responded with this: I would argue it's a bigger issue than the one @Raven (Elysian Angel) is talking about.
  11. The hand pump no longer supplies hydraulic pressure to deploy the fuel probe and tail hook etc. When I first discovered you could do that I marvelled at the level of detail HB had provided. This ability and others (like the Emergency Launch Bar retraction), may have been rarely used, but they did help give a sense of depth to the systems modelled and increase immersion. It's a 'study-level sim' after all, not War Thunder.
  12. Why on Earth does the brief disappear as soon as loading commences? Please leave it up so we can read it during this dead time. Thank you.

  13. Do me a favour everyone, next time you land on the Carrier, try and do a repair. I think you'll find the aircraft damaged every time and once damaged it will remain that way, unless you respawn:
  14. Yeah, well it isn't on their list of known issues, which is terrifyingly short considering how many problems there are. They're probably completely unaware of this particular issue and seeing as they haven't yet acknowledged your comments in this thread, probably remain oblivious.
  15. Thank you for identifying this. It's a huge deal for FFB users. Now, how do we get this to the attention of the Devs amongst this already chaotic forum?
  16. I think the majority would prefer historically accurate as a baseline, in all aspects. Thanks.
  17. This morning I found a recent (June 2025) post regarding this issue on Discord. The chap said he deleted any keyboard trim bindings and it fixed his issue with the aircraft nosediving the moment the NWS button is pushed/the system is activated. Well, I found that rudder trim was still bound to my keyboard and deleted those. I just tried ALCS and was delighted to discover that for the first time it didn't immediately try and nose dive me into the water. Sadly it was still unable to successfully land though, as within two miles of carrier the aircraft wanders up and down (it does stay on track), as if hunting for the signal/trying to remain on glideslope and ultimately crashes into the sea short of the Carrier: 26/06/2025 15:00 EDIT: Second attempt did the nosedive thing right off the bat again Perhaps it's connected to the fact iceman trims all the way nose down when you jump in the back seat, which in turn may be connected to aircraft spawning with the stick trimmed all the way forward as with a cold/dark state (the stick is trimmed forward IRL, to ease pilot access). Please note that warning light (no.11) is illuminated:
  18. @Zabuzard https://discord.com/channels/1071433028045377637/1355282973682831551 *It should be noted that ACLS and all autopilot modes work perfectly with non-ffb sticks.
  19. Wouldn't each update erase any changes you made? I suspect we'll see more nuance added to the flight-model and improvements to the FFB model as development continues, as we did with the Mustang.
  20. I suspect we'll see more nuance added to the flight-model and improvements to the FFB model as development continues, as we did with the Mustang. I guess the Corsair used dive brakes to avoid ordinance collisions and prevent damage to the airframe & control surfaces, as mentioned above? Anyway, it was a tough s.o.b., like the men who flew her.
  21. I think it would work better if Magnitude 3 added a similar main gear suspension 'bounce' as the Mustang. It was only added to the P-51 in the last year and made turning whilst taxiing much easier.
