A bit too late to participate in the screenshot contest but not too late to be posted here :)

I´m flying mission 2 right now with the MiG-15 and I also have troubles tuning in the NDBs (spinning needle) and only static on the given frequencies. edit: On my way home I tried to tune in Sochi which worked. So I only had problems with the frequencies 395 and 489 in this mission.

Hey there - just got your campaign and I´m really looking forward to playing it :) Not a bug though but a typo in the overview. I think it should read "The True Air Speed (TAS) is the thin needle."

Think the FPS hit is probably because of ground units - if I recall correctly it was already mentioned somewhere in this topic. And if your chat window gets stuck then press TAB for a longer time and it should close (think this is a known issue with ED).

Can anyone say a bit about the campaign difficulty - do you have to be an Ace to get through it? Thinking about getting it but I´m not sure about the difficulty :music_whistling:

Not sure if it was a bug / fixed but take a look here - apperently you have to jettison them to activate them. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2853590#post2853590 "Firing" a "Sidewinder" didn´t work for me the last time I´ve tried - but I think there was an update inbetween - so maybe this was fixed and you would activate them the same way you´d fire a sidewinder now.

Ah, sorry - got it mixed up (deploy and jettison) But nontheless I just tried to deploy the chute in 2.0.3 and it worked with the assigned shortcut. I´ve assigned the shortcuts in DCS itself and not in my HOTAS software (not sure if this might be part of your problem) And have you already tried to bind another shortcut? (I´m sure you have but asking nontheless)

edit: not relevant - mixed up jettison and deploy :doh: You need to open the safety cover of the switch first - otherwise it won't work. So you actually need 2 shortcuts.

Really looking forward to this one - I used one of the keys I've won for the Spit :)

The take off run in 2.0.3 now feels like it did a few patches ago in 1.x.x - there was also a patch where it was necessary to use brakes during the TO run to keep her straight. When it comes to flying she feels a bit strange imo - no buffeting / no wing drops ... you can pull on the stick like crazy and all you do is lose energy. Not sure if this is right - somehow she felt more believable to fly in the last patches.

Couldn't this be due to overspeeding? It seems to me that the 21 is a bit more forgiving even when it comes to maneuvering than it was some time ago.

Is there anything new on the missing stick shake (FFB) since the last update?

Hehe .. yeah, I think so too - I have to admit I´m tempted but I think I´ll stick to the combat pedals a little longer. But sooner or later I´ll get MFGs for sure :)

Damn - all this talk about the Crosswind pedals here is making me want some too :D But my combat pedals are still good .. sooo ... hmmm ....

Hehe .. I feel with you. Drop tank release got me 2 times already. Was flying behind a 21 for at least 30 seconds cause it wasn´t aware of me - could have launched multiple good missiles and in another situation I also had a very good oportunity :doh::megalol: Oh well ... at least now I always check if it´s off after dropping the tank :D

tbh I like both generations very much but I´m not entirely sure if a rotation would be so good for the player numbers. Wouldn´t it be possible to add MiG-15 and F-86 and assign them a separate area of operation for dogfighting each other?

This could be due to the Sim not running in fullscreen even if it appears to be running in fullscreen. Try Alt+Enter in the Sim and see if the problem persists.

I think the "frozen boot" was posted in regards to the article: Unfortunately though this deal is only available in the US.

It´s working fine for me - it just needs some time to warm up I think. And if other units aren´t using any kind of radar you wont see anything on the RWR.
