It’s been a while but I have the ST version somewhere :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oh I know, I simply meant the ones with clickable cockpits. Having the radio GUI is better than nothing, but I guess you could put it on the bottom corner of your screen? A controller for SRS on your phone/tablet would be a cool idea if that could be done ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There’s always SRS. For those with clickable cockpits, the functionality is there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I would very surprised if the EW stations and their functions were able to be disclosed. USN hasn't, to my knowledge anyway, released any electronic warfare documentation from about Vietnam era onwards Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If there's a ball then it'll be an E. makes sense given the era. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The prowler EW systems are classified very heavily, so I doubt any business could sell a high fidelity model with working, accurate systems legitimately without answering a lot of difficult questions. Also, ECM and ECCM are not modelled very heavily in DCS (really it comes to down to Jammer on/off). That being said, if you can take electronic ware fare and jamming to the next level in this sim, and do put it without breaching copyright, I suspect our have a hell of a lot of buyers... I'm 30 and will tell you my reflexes aren't what they were. However, there comes a point where your experience can overcome that anyway. With practice and experience you can manage to plant yourself into a position where quick reflexes are unnecessary; it becomes pure training and knowledge :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The mig25 would be cool. That radar would be a good match against the tomcat for power, and range too (although the maneuverability would be questionable) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Average age The age of a flight summer isn't all that you would want to test. I'm 30, but have been playing flight sims from about 5 years old (with help from my dad admittedly). A better question would be how long have you been simming for? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

why speedbrakes are fanned out during cold start?
ghostdog688 replied to WildBillKelsoe's topic in DCS: F-5E
Whilst I do agree that it's easier to just remember, bear in mind that this is a sim; we are not all pilots (nor should many of us be). If the pilots who fly these aircraft (and represent some of the smartest, fittest, and most disciplined individuals of their country) can be allowed a prompt from ground crew, surely so can we ;) For the meantime, "just remember" or "check visually yourself with f2" is of course easier for us to do. But adding ground crew in as part of, say, combined arms, could be done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Given that the a4 is nearly there, and the f4e has been announced, the a7 and a6 have been announced... it's coming ever closer to a mid 70s extravaganza! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This is why having external mode is not cheating. Unless you are flying with a wingman, you would have no other way to verify a correct takeoff configuration without seeing a ground crewmember directing you to close the speedbrakes and direct you on your way to the runway. I noticed the option to deploy an emergency tail hook, but wondered if it's possible to make an arrested landing on shore yet? Would be a clever way to turn the plane around quickly without having to lose the drag chute on multiplayer servers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

With the f4 coming now, I can revise my wishlist: 1) a6a intruder (because multicrew low altitude all weather bomb runs) 2) tornado gr.1 (same, but also with jp-233 3) mig 25 (because Mach 2.5+ would be fun) 4) ah-64 (because sharing the work of an apache would be cool too) 5) English electric lightening (ever seen their max performance takeoff?) Buccaneer by the BANA Project

Buccaneer by the BANA Project As awesome as that would be, if they give rights away on a commercial basis to one entity, it undermines and outright pisses off the other business partners that paid money for the same rights. It would be like someone suddenly getting a free copy of DCS A-10 from ED while everybody pays full price. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Wish I could see DIANE in action - would be cool to see what they look like in action! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you could put the barrier up at least, I'd be happy with that (radio, tower, other, barrier....) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ah. Well it's a place to start ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just found out the a-1 was used as a buddy tanker too... is this something that can be done? Would be cool to see it top off the a-4 before or after a strike :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well, all I want is a-6a and f-4b; Early models for the navy and we have ourselves a decent era opponent for the mig-21 (and possibly the Mig 15 or 19 could sub for the 17) for Vietnam era combat. For the airforce, an A-1 and an f105g would make my bucket list too, but I'd take the f-100 if BST want a successor for their f-86 ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you were wanting a 50s era aircraft that isn't a hunter, may I recommend an early generation lightening? That could be a great crossover between the mig-19 and mig-21 timeline of aircraft. Plus the radar and missile capabilities would be comparable Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
