Welcome TrueGrit Virtual Technologies!

my first experience of the EF2K was TFX - that was a long time ago, but it still brings back some incredibly fond memories. I really hope to see regular updates and a proper roadmap soon with an outlined goal of how far you can get in terms of the wepaons and systems you can model. -
This is a fantastic trainer aircraft for new pilots with an experienced pilot in the back seat. the multicrew is amazing given that its fan done. Is there any plan to support TACAN/VOR/ILS radios in later works? it would make the trainer complete and would allow a virtual squadron to train a new pilot with very little upfront cost, and is VERY user friendly for somone looking to learn athe basics of jet aircraft in DCS. As a bonus, so would syncronising the two cockpits for mulitcrew.

* DCS: F-14 Development Update! Scan, Lock, Fire! *

question: the hornet will eventually get Link 16 DL. now i know the F14A+/B didnt get that (they had Link 4 IIRC). anyone know if Link 16 was backwards compatible? would be cool to see the tomcats passing data to hornets and working together. -
I know the A4 takes precedence and all, but just wondered if any progress has been made? the skyraider looks so cool

BMS is still my primary sim, not just because of the f16, but because of the map size and dynamic campaign. They have to fix that and the missile dynamics first, but a tornado or intruder would certainly make me put up with those issues far more often :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You are exactly right. Making the cockpit visuals and the 3d modelling is simple compared to taking the systems and making them talk to each other correctly. This why you see so many early access models in DCS that barely change externally but launch with bugs/missing features. Not to detract from the 3d modellers - they do a cracking job! I noticed I’m constantly pitching nose down to maintain level flight. The trim buttons do not appear to correct for this. Not sure if it’s a bug or not, I know some prefer to use the trim button, but I prefer to bind my fourway hat for the job Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not officially. Massive wish list hread showed up for it then razbam announced the a7. But that will be a long time away. I’d be happy with HB or RAZBAM doing an a6. The tornado would be a good one to have as well, i would be happy either way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

An a6 would be the perfect match to the tomcat for a complete naval collection. Plus withbthe groundwork laid on Grumman systems and JESTER, I think the multicrew part and some of the things learned about the underlying systems would translate well. AG Radar would be similar to the Viggen in terms of navigational capability. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oh, I’m not doubting the professionalism of the conscripted. Just the perception of them by their government and leadership ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

After the Tomcat? I was mostly referring to the ground crew for maintenance. The pilots going nowhere fast if the aircrafts poorly maintained by ground crew with high turnover ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

BONE - B1 bomber (“B-ONE” - get it?) BUFF - b52 (nicknamed the Big Ugly Fat F**ker) Stab aug - Stability Augmentor. Think of it as an automatic damper to enhance control and stability on a plane to keep it at or near its limits for longer. FBW - Fly By Wire. Your joystick is connected to a computer which does your input for you, as opposed to directly to the cables and gear that control the wing. EWO (Electronic Warfare Officer) - the guy who can use the jammer) DSO (Defensive systems officer) - sinilar role, different plane. They might also control the tail gun or work chaff and flare. Hope that helps ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

After the Tomcat? It seems weird to us, but bear in mind the concept of conscription would very severely limit the amount of time an individual would spend in the armed forces. You want a system that always works with the most basic of training and a minimum of experience and development necessary. Use your smart Party engineers and make automated systems that require minimal maintenance, and minimal skill to operate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

For point defense from land that would be the mig 25/31. The Russians didn’t compete for fleet defense in that manner - they went for faster and longer range anti ship missiles, longer range ARMs, and bombers like the backfire. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

After the Tomcat? Actually, I think an f105 would be a better integration of all the things they’ve developed. A nifty flight model, a radar for all-weather and night navigation and attack. An a6 would be good too, but if they ain’t doing another navy bird, a thud would be an equivalent. Bonus points for it being a G, but a D would be perfectly suitable. I’d happily accept any ground attack tornado, gr1 could carry alarm, and jp-233 - both interesting and potent weapons that would change the way a battle against ground forces could be fought. That’d be the tornado ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

[RESOLVED]TEMPORARY SOLUTION FOR MISSING LINES IN HUD

As awesome as a tornado would be, I’m not sure they would want to do another multicrew jet lol... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So.... a submarine? ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The intruder was (and still is) and impressive feat of carrier aviation. The fact that it wasn’t retired until the 90s and even then under considerable pressure (the navy wanted the a12 - basically a super intruder - but were not given the budget for it). We still see them around as EA6’s but not for much longer (basically until there’s enough Growlers in service). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

ED needs to correctly model jamming and Electronic Warfare before flying an EW aircraft becomes tactically useful. Now, the original f111? That’s another conversation :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Without asking you to go in much detail (I wouldn’t want to dredge up painful memories), May I ask what the most common accident/fatality cause was? I’m hoping for something a bit more detailed than “pilot error/inexperience” - just want to avoid making similar mistakes in the sim. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well I’ve done VO for you in the past. I’d be happy to offer again Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
