  1. In for a Home license! I see how much Bunyap uses his and I had to get it. Congrats on 10 years!
  2. It would be good to be able to set the time it takes for the TT to appear and then vanish. Another way would be to use a second mouse button to open and close the TT to give active control over it if the user wanted. I doubt we'd get either, however.
  3. This does nothing. VR resolution is not something you can adjust.
  4. the graphics.lua file has more than the menu options control. I'd like to know how to get rid of the trees entirely. The ones in the populated areas are fine, but the popup ones are poo. I have my tree radius to zero, but I'd rather them go completely.
  5. Hi - here's a vid of a truck rolling along kicking up some serious dust! I'm guessing this is not what it's supposed to do :)
  6. I'm trying to make sense of the grahpics.lua file to extract maximum performance for VR. My hunch is that there are a number of things going on that we can control that will affect the frame rates and that the key to extracting those frames are in that LUA file. However, the values in the file are somewhat confusing since there are settings for low, medium, high, ultra and extreme settings; guessing they correspond to the Complexity setting in the graphics menu. Since I am in the dark here for the most part, and others may be as well, perhaps those among us who know more can help. Thanks in advance! NB - the file in question is located in the \...\Config\ folder. Here's a sample from the file: Camera = { Low = { near_clip = 0.02; far_clip = 150000; structures = {100, 12000}; trees = {1000, 1500}; -- looks to be obsolete dynamic = {300, 12000}; dynamic2 = {300, 12000,0.5}; objects = {3000, 80000}; mirage = {3000, 20000}; surface = {20000, 80000}; lights = {200, 40000}; districtobjects = {400, 400}; districts = {3000, 3000}; -- changed from 8000 to 3000 lodMult = 1.0; lodAdd = 0; };I use Notepad++ to edit this type of file. Other files to be considered for "possible adjustment": \...\Config\Effects\shadows.lua
  7. Where do you do this and how?
  8. Cheers and thank you! How does this affect frame rates in VR?
  9. Where is this texture pack?
  10. Roger that - what insights can you share with the rest of us on how to "tune" our GPU settings and DCS settings to obtain the most frames possible?
  11. There are no computers that will achieve the performance you've required with the specifications indicated. High settings and 90fps is unrealistic even for a 4790+1080.
  12. Added to OP: Turn on and off the tooltip flyouts when hovering your mouse cursor over a cockpit control element (TYVM Skatezilla): Options => Gameplay Tab => Tool Tips => Uncheck
  13. Without legitimate tactile feedback, hand tracking will never be more than a novelty.
  14. Force VR on and OFF - thank you Alex O'Keefe: dcs.exe --force_enable_VR dcs.exe --force_disable_VR Those are command lines to go in your shortcut parameters.
  15. I'd like to see an option to turn on and off the mouse pointer hint boxes and the ability to bind that on/off function to a button or key.
  16. I'm not seeing the highlighting box in the training missions to point me to the correct cockpit control elements in the A10C and KA50 startup training missions. I recall that they used to be there. I'm also not seeing any "belie zaycheck" (white rabbit) in the Mig21 startup tutorial. Note: I tested in the non-VR version of the same (A10C startup) and the highlighting box is there.
  17. I've not found the "sweet spot" for the A10C with VR. It's just off somehow. I can't see how it's like that IRL.
  18. The issue with the landing light being out of place may be causing something with heat haze as well. The heat haze looks out of place, which is unlike in the other versions.
  19. Hi Lino - Thank you - I have it :D
  20. That's the issue in the end. The mirror of the session doesn't show it :/
  21. Yes, the water is like a poop brown. There is banding in the sky and on the water. The runway lighting trucks do not illuminate the plane. I can't take any screen shots...nothing shows up.
  22. I'm doing some night testing right now in the sticks at Mineral Water airbase in the east. It's pretty dark, but I'd expect darker. That "smudgy" alpha texture layer we talked about a month ago or so is still there and looks horrid. I can't take a screenie, but it's like there is a strange transparency layer that moves with the view and looks like smudges...yes, my lenses are clean :D
  23. A billion pixels a second really puts all this in perspective, huh?! I'm not sure there are any PC's right now that can run DCS with a PD of 2.0 and achieve a solid 90fps at all times...if only there were!!!
  24. These are great to read! That's about how I felt in my first VR experience! There's no going back from VR :pilotfly:
