  1. Now you're getting the picture.. Gun harmonization must also take into account the weight of the ammo used, as pilots adjusted the guns according to this, primarily. The logic would be that each mission would need a different type of ammunition that required changing the harmonization of the guns and also the sight so it can match the new convergence area. This was a complex task and it was done by an engineer and not by the pilot himself. So, the issue with implementing this is much more complex than just making a slider.
  2. Do you think that the devs didn't have access to all the "evidence" you brought here? From what you're saying I understand that this is just a discussion and you don't necessarily want this feature to be implemented. Fine by me... Why would YOU wanted this feature to be implemented.. I'm just curious, not a tricky question.. Thanks.
  3. Stop with this nonsense, would ya? It is not FEASIBLE for ED to implement manual guns harmonization, because it would lead to other issues, e.g. gun sight calibration. Yes, it IS a nice to have feature but it would take a lot of programming time that might be well suited for other work that it's much more important to DCS than this frivolous thing as gun harmonization.
  4. I noticed a weird dot under each plane.. is that the 'dot label mod'?
  5. Would you care to elaborate on this? Thx.
  6. I think the philosophy here is.. you lead the dance. :) Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk

  8. This time it wasn't a rhetorical question at all. I didn't see any comparison with the real life data, made by any of you, regarding the different flight characteristics of the Spitfire L.F. Mk. IXc. Please let me know if you find such a thread in this forum. Thanks.
  9. The most pertinent point of view..so far, and actually it's true for all DCS modules. Practice makes perfection. On the other hand, there are a lot of guys coming from other so called "sims", which are the most vocative about the Spit in DCS, but absolutely NONE of them are commenting on the flight model.. Why is that.. one may wonder.
  10. MP and PvP is what I like to do in DCS. The AI seems like a retarded god... its flight model and damage model are killing the SP experience..
  11. You should also trim the nose up, just enough not to fight with the nose down tendency when applying full breaks. Rudder becomes ineffective upon losing speed so you have to use the breaks to efficiently steer it. Practice makes perfection :)
  12. Actually, if you do the 3-point landing, you can apply full breaks as soon as you touch down. I prefer 2-point landing on busy airfields, as I have better visuals on the runway, but that takes a lot of practice to be able to master it, especially in crosswind conditions.
  13. Very well explained: http://advancedtailwheeltraining.com/tailwheel_basics
  14. @Yo-Yo I used both FFB and non-FFB sticks and I easily came to the conclusion that I would never go back to a non-FFB joystick. No matter how you implement the trim/flaps forces, the non-FFB joystick will lose the feeling that a FFB stick brings, though it's not perfect.. yet. But, I'd personally let the pilot to drive the crate.. What I would really like to see is a more 'refined' implementation of the ffb and/or stick forces, for example, on the 109 the stick 'hardens' @ very slow speeds.. even when taxiing @ 10kph. If we can adjust the ffb curve, somehow, it would be just perfect and would add even more to the 'feeling' the virtual pilot is getting via ffb.
  15. Better later than never.. :)
  16. This should be a sticky.. on 'what are the differences between the stable release and the (so much blamed) open alpha/beta releases'.
  17. In fluid dynamics, a stall is a reduction in the lift coefficient generated by a foil as angle of attack increases. This occurs when the critical angle of attack of the foil is exceeded. The critical angle of attack is typically about 15 degrees, but it may vary significantly depending on the fluid, foil, and Reynolds number. --wiki
  18. FYI.. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=190368&page=3
  19. Is anyone "working" on this? Maybe we'll see it in DCS 3.0 :)
  20. Btw, you can also land it absolutely fine with 2-wheel touchdown.. at least in DCS.
  21. Another one.. 4th of July, celebrating Brexit 1776 :))
  22. Keep up the good work! 10$ going to you..
  23. Brilliant, my friend! You got us quite good :)
  24. I fly alone most of the times, so the surprise attack is my only "weapon" against players that fly together. And yes, spotting got a little better in 2.1. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
