  1. The collision damage is as important as the damage model and with the introduction of multithreading support I think it's about time to be properly modelled.
  2. Guns jamming in the Dora is still a thing... Any news on this one?
  3. It is called controls harmonization, something that the brits engineers and the pilots weren't aware of. It's normal that the control surfaces would stiffen when approaching those high speeds for ALL planes which don't have any hydraulic assistance, for that matter. There are some Finnish pilots' testimonials where they said that even if the controls stiffened at high speed, they could still turn the aircraft. This behavior is very much being exacerbated in DCS, for the 109, by those so called 'stick forces' that are 'artificially' applied on the 109 which don't actually respect any laws of physics or take into account the human factor.
  4. Gotcha.. I noticed that and configured the beta accordingly in the end. Thanks!
  5. I installed the beta 2.5.1.0 but I'm missing the plane Models fnullor DCS..
  6. I'm getting this error.. I have to restart DCS to make it work again.. any thoughts?null
  7. Cool stuff.. but I still have a couple of questions.. are these AIs or human players? And the second question, the damage seen in the logs has been inflicted by a SINGLE 30mm round that hit the target? Other subsequent questions will follow depending on the answers. Thanks for looking into it, much appreciated!
  8. It happened to me again on [4YA] server, but unfortunately, the game crashed, so I don't have the track for this event. Though, I think it's the hydraulic system that can't be repaired (the fluid can't be refilled maybe?) because after I took off, I couldn't retract the landing gear, nor I could operate the rads flaps. Hope it helps.. Cheers!
  9. Thanks! After the second one I think..
  10. It's a long discussion starting with Dora's Cl (lift coefficient).. but I won't open the Pandora box.. I do believe that all old WWII modules FMs must be revised.. but that'll cost ED a lot of money and man hours to do.. no doubt about that. Is it feasible? I don't know but I'd pay for a that.. for sure.
  11. The repair should cool down the overheated coolant.. seems logical..
  12. All fine and dandy, then the engine decided to quit.. L.E. The track has 75MB, so I uploaded it to wetransfer: https://we.tl/t-OJhX6NBX6k
  13. Can you show us where in manual says you can run WEP @ <90mph?
  14. I abused the P-51 for ~15 mins in zoom climbs or turning climbs with speeds even below 100mph, the coolant temp was at max, the oil temp was also at max (rads were on Auto, engine @ mil power). At some point it loses coolant (when reaching 0mph) but after recovering some speed it runs normally again after the coolant temp drops (I've tried that a couple of times). The track is ~8MB so I uploaded to wetransfer.com: https://we.tl/t-GCJzVTWhUc L.E. I've tried now with WEP climbing @90mph, the coolant was escaping, engine still running. Track attached. server-20220825-005845.trk Cheers!
  15. After doing a few of repairs (to the same airframe) at some point it won't repair the landing gear/hydraulic system (flaps are working though). The landing gear remains deployed, even if I damage it un purpose with a rough landing and retry the repairing. The track has 250MB, so I uploaded it here: https://easyupload.io/dki44d the link is available for 30 days. Cheers!
  16. You forgot the poorly collision damage model and its inconsistencies among the modules.. There are some 'masochistic' guys who fly the Axis planes online on [4YA] Server, if anyone is eager to join us there, you're more than welcome. But nevertheless, I do feel that I'm slowly and surely drifting away from DCS because of the reasons mentioned previously and much more (since you mentioned the PR).. Where did everybody go? That's a rhetorical question for sure.. It's sad..
  17. I mostly shoot from point blank.. those 1 shot 1 kill are as rare as the unicorns The 30mm should be more deadly when hitting the wings though.. so no excuses on how weak they actually are..
  18. He probably meant 13mm.. but that's not the point.. The point is, indeed, the 30mm rounds are too weak.. it takes, on average, 8x30mm to deem an airplane unflyable, usually if you hit the tail. That comes from a dude that makes >200kills per month on [4YA] server.
  19. Thanks for the explanations! Can something be done with the awful collision damage?
  20. It's in the wish list for thousands of years.. so the legend says..
  21. That 'wobble' is caused by a bent prop blade.. that's for sure. The 'effect' is kind of exaggerated and might be work in progress.. hopefully. The prop doesn't stop spinning when touching the ground, on the other hand.. so we'll see what the new patches will bring to the table next..
  22. Check out these 2 videos I've just made: Instant Action #1: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Instant Action #2: S!
