  1. Switching bleed air into off position isn't necessary if you try the APU restart (don't know if it is counterproductive by the way..) Just follow the steps and it works. - move throttle to OFF - make sure you're below 20K ft and engine temp (of malfunctioning engine) is cooling down - increase speed (dive) until you're below 15Kft - move APU to START - move working engine throttle to MAX - set engine operate switch to MOTOR (of malfunctioning engine) - move throttle to IDLE - move engine operate switch to NORM Works for me all the time...
  2. Flood lights issue also on my side. I must confess I didn't test with deferred shading OFF, but with ON it certainly is broken. Let alone the over-saturated green lights and text during daylight...
  3. On most of my installed planes in 2.1, there are no "instant actions"? Some only show the (empty) dirs and thats it...
  4. Agree, QuiGon. I did look at the tutorial missions, but they aren't as much help as the manual. Far from that. Good tutorials could be found on Youtube, but still: manual is better for understanding and learning.
  5. You mean learning to operate the A-10C by random pushing knobs..?? I don't quite agree. Things like startup, operating the CDU, the DSMS, the profile settings of the CCIP/CCRP weapons, etc etc etc is something that can't be learned by just trial and error. RTFM is the keyword here.
  6. Right. In that case we have to discuss the many rought landings that I witnessed on our airbase with students making a final approach while the wind suddenly dropped. Why did those planes stall? Had nothing to do with the wind speed as you stated, so we will start an intern investigation what could have caused these stalls and rough landings.
  7. I'm not only flying simulators, I also have a PPL/A and a glider pilot's license. And after takeoff, all planes are weathervaning, due to wind blowing against a large tail. When taking off due north with 45degrees western crosswind, the nose will turn left ánd the plane will drift to the right.
  8. Could you explain how you did this? Sounds great!!
  9. I have been trying this app (on iPad) last weekend. Installed the server, got all the green "V"'s on the screen, and the iPad said "connected". However...: pressing buttons or switches on the iPad didn't do anything... Is that correct? Or am I missing something? All it did was showing the screens on the iPad, no interaction possible..
  10. Just being curious, but why do you keep that spreadsheet with the serials..?? All serials are easily found on the ED website? Or am I missing something? I had to do a fresh install a few months ago and couldn't find the serial of one of my modules (I keep all the numbers in a mail folder). But after checking the ED website, number was easily retrieved.. So, for me, no more need to keep all these serials in my mail folder?
  11. Same here. Even when not banking: selecting ALT and activating the autopilot results in almost immediate "bumping" behaviour of the a/c, ending up in bigger and bigger swirling. Only on Nevada.
  12. Normally you can read what weapons will be used in the briefing..? Otherwise, just check your DSMS?
  13. That's the normal procedure yes. But, after the last update, I'm also (like TS) keep getting "NO TRACK LAUNCH". Very annoying.
  14. I have to agree with TS, last time more than on previous occasions I get a "no track launch". Looks like locking a target with the mav is much, much more difficult than before, and sometimes even impossible.
  15. NVG is an instrument that a pilot wears on it's helmet. So, wherever you're looking at with the goggles switched on, will be illuminated. No way you can alter that I'm afraid.
  16. I had a X52Pro and used curves for all modules. Got the THWH about 2 years now, and never used any curves on it. Totally agree with Yurgon: what feels good for YOU, is the right setting.
  17. First: GREAT initiative!! Kudos! Then: I DO NOT DESERVE THIS. REALLY. I DON'T. (I have the TMWH and a set of pedals...) BUT... I would really really like to participate for my nephew. He is 14 years old, and is a HUGE DCS fan. He bought the Dora and can fly it. I gave him two other planes, as he has to buy everything from his allowance. I had an old joystick, which I donated to him. It would be really superb if I could win this great deal, so I can make him very, very happy....!!
  18. Yes, but only on 2.0. As far as I know, it doesn't occur in 1.5.
  19. Yes, as Sniperwolf said, just use the TrackIr and it works like a charm..! Will try other settings (and usb tethering) but so far 720/60fps and 1080/30fps over 2.4Ghz Wifi works ok!
  20. I installed the Moonlight client on my Android (OP3) and enabled game stream in Moonlight and I have to say: the quality is (maybe even a LOT) better than I used to have in the DK2 Rift. Can't say anything about the CV1, but this option is, when used for fun flying, certainly doable...!!
  21. But, if I'm correct, if you turn off Easy Comms, you have to tune the radio's manually... so in that case the option would turn black if not selected the right frequency... So, by keeping it on, the radios tune to the correct frequency if the option in the radio menu is selected, i.e. "ATC", in that case the correct radio tunes to the frequency of the ATC on the choosen airfield... Correct? So, how can turning Easy Comms off, correct the OP's problem?
  22. @Gliptal do you mean the mod Simple Radio, or the setting Easy Communications?
  23. Tried it yesterday by removing the complete mod (turns out that I had 2.04), and after installing 2.06 with the new .fx file, it worked. So it rather was the combination of old mod with new .fx instead of old .fx file... ;-)
