It is working as intended. However, there is a great mod that makes the NVG much more realistic, and less saturated. Check http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=151646

Too bad, but no. I have the same situation, with AND without this mod..

Trouble seeing ground targets in the TGP?
GurbY replied to StandingCow's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Well it reminds me of a certain evening and a certain "looking-for-targets" situation... it is EXACTLY what I had. The day after, however, everything was 100% crisp. With no changes to settings or whatever.. -
Anyone else having problems with CCRP release in 1.5 OB?

How to stop Steerpoint changing to next Mission Waypoint.
GurbY replied to bunraku's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Useful tip; tnx!!! -
In that case you won't arrive at your wanted destination. Look at the PDF: if you set a course of, lets say, 50, the reciprocal course on the PDF let you steer to 310. Now look up 310 on that PDF again. Is that 180 degrees the other way around? Don't think so... For this example I would be heading 230 if you don't mind... In other words: this PDF, how nicely made it is, does NOT show you the reverse heading for a given course.

Check the sticky in this same forumtopic; Chuck/CharlieOwl has some EXCELLENT tutorials and how-to's. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=135765

Important to know is that if you reach a forward speed (when coming to a stop) less than 40kts, a "vortex ring" can pull you downwards. With a crash as a result. So, keep an eye on (all instruments, but in particular) the vertical speed ánd the airspeed indicator. When you approach the landing zone and you're about to slow down below that 40kts, gently pull up the collective to eliminate the possibility of a sudden drop.

Many many thanks especially to Mule who made this happen, and House ofcourse for his knowledge of, well, almost anything, and his patience to learn it to others (like me). And to Smudge for his great vids. And Jacks and Maddog for the missions, and Debug for his technical know-how, and Moto and Rusky and.. and.. and.. Well so much for my Academy-Winner-Thank-You-All-Speech, seriously now: DCS is a great, great game (no it's not) and there are some guys (looking at you Mike, and at you, Emil) who make this great sim even greater by spending a tremendous lot of time, patience and energy. A really massive concentration of knowledge and fun, that's what 42VFG is all about. Kudos!!

Anyone having the rift playing on DCS in Windows 10..?? I upgraded to W10 and had to reinstall the SDK and runtime (0.7) otherwise the rift wouldn't play in W10. But now when I try to run DCS it sames something like "linked to older runtime version" and it won't play in the DK2...

Welkom hier!! As stated above: don't wait, and install the version that has your preferences. I like the Steam concept, but running the standalone. Just because. Matter of what you like. If you're in for a really, really big challenge, and not afraid of studying and reading manuals: buy the A10C. O, and the Mig21. And let's not forget the UH-1. Or the Ka50... FC3 also fun... (de keuze is reuze!!) And after flying FS.. (which I did too, from the start of the Bruce Artwick edition) you will be surprised about the realistic flight modelling in most aircrafts!!

Dogfights are impossible due to massive loss in framrate
GurbY replied to Icarus1976's topic in Game Performance
Weird. I have a i7 2600 (NOT K...) and only 8GB mem. Asus GTX660, and (ofcourse....) DCSW on SSD. However: I have everything maxed out, except the groundstuff. I have the Highway/Textures mod from Mustang. 8x AA. I didn't measure the framerate, because there was no reason to: everything works OK. -

What kind of Headtracking system are you using?
GurbY replied to Griffon26's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
TrackIR 4, with TI5 software and pro-clip. And when I feel like it, I use the Oculus Rift which is by far the best experience. -
What I remember from the X52 Pro stick is that you don't want them as directional axis but as bands. Does the SST software offer this settings for the X55? Try that..

Lock Target Button 1...?? As far as I know, button 1 is the first stage trigger, which is used for PAC..?? Button 5 is Master Mode. Seems something is rather screwed up with assignments. I would - remove the TM warthog (so remove both usb adapters), - uninstall driver - reboot - start DCS - check if categories are totally clear (so no more TM WH columns), - exit DCS - install drivers and at the point where the program asks to, - insert the usb connectors again. TM Warthog functions right out of the box, with only one difference: if you have a TrackIr, you have to remap the trim function on the POV1 button. Otherwise its mapped, out of the box, as view button.
