maybe it's something related to the 32bit version. i moved to 64bit os since vista so at least to me it's fine with the 64bit DCS. if i remember correctly when you purchase the windows 7 boxed package it includes a 32bit disk and a 64bit disk.

years ago i bought LOMAC 6 or 8 times bought 2 download version of black shark, 1 steam version, 1 disk version pre-ordered a10 but i will think twice before buying more copies. life is a huge game more complex than any video games, and i got a lot of other habbitates besides flight sims and they are all expensive - warhammer, audiophile, music instruments, music CDs, etc. and i'm still single now, having years not touched or slept with a girl lol i bought the steam version because it doesnt have activition limits, it's more easy to play owned games at different pcs, run benchmarks on different cpus to see the changes without losing activition times lol

if DCS:A10C comes to Steam, i'll buy one copy as what i've done for DCS:Ka50 steam version. Steam is more convenient

i'm working for a pc hardware review lab. at least i can run dcs whenever i want despite any hardware changes now:P

i guess mods will be ok, just replace the files. steam will not verify the files unless it have to or you make it to do so. or just make it easier, make a steam compatible mod ;) and what really does the matter is the convenience, now i can install dcs on whichever pc i want

my days really suck when i bought Half-Life 2 the earlier days in 2005~2007 but now steam is stable enough and easy to use and makes buying games easy
