  1. So I'm finally getting around to replacing my terrible old ULTRA lsp 550w PSU, I am in the middle of a few "tweaks" to my PC witch include a Corsair H75 aoi water cooler and a new case with extra 120mm fans, make a long story short with the cpu overclocked and the gpu overclocked I think iv reached the limit of this PSU and am looking at a new one. I don't really want to spend over $100cnd but I want the best PSU I can get and found this. SeaSonic M12II EVO 620w http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151095&ignorebbr=1 I know/heard SeaSonic is a reputable company and its got everything I'm looking for including being modular. I just wanted a second opinion on this before I pull the trigger. I feel like Im playing the lottery with me crap psu and I feel like it could catch fire or burn out all my new parts  Cheers! PS: the name says SeaSonic M12II but the picture is the newer SeaSonic M12II EVO and the EVO is the one I want, I may call them up to double check.
  2. Like everyone else I agree that 2.5 "should" run better with all the new technology DX 11 and T4/T5 mesh. I also get better performance in 2.0 then 1.5 by a pretty significant amount. I am also in the same boat as you when it comes to spending $, but that's the great thing about PC's you can tailor your hardware to meet your budget requirements. You don't necessarily need an I7 with 1080s in SLI and 32G DDR4...but the option is there. And sales pop up all the time. I can't remember the last time I paid retail on any PC hardware or games (except a few DCS aircraft because I can't help myself :p)
  3. Ditto, but then again I have a good sound card and 5.1 surround. Even with out the "3d surround sound" I still sounds fantastic Rlaxoxo.
  4. I agree, I searched the forums for weeks and tried hundreds of different things to get my FPS back. I mean if I had not posted in this thread I would have never seen penshoon's post about it. I search these forums daily and I still miss tones of stuff.
  5. oh...my..god, It worked after all the hundreds of thing I tried its back to "normal" THANK YOU!! I can get back to enjoying dcs again. Is this new rendering distance going to be a permant thing or do I have to use the custom .lua every time I update? Again THANK YOU!!
  6. Its been the last 2 patches. Thanks though I will give that a try as well, Is lowering the pre load radius and view distance option not the same thing tho? or dose i only work with the .lua file?
  7. Wow....why has ED not looked at this? performance was fine before? I was able to get solid 60fps with everything on High and view distance on ultra. Even people with an I7 and GTX 1080 hare struggling to hit 60fps...and this is not just a couple people with this problem there are countless post about it lately. And I am getting sick of this whole "your 300$ cpu is not good for dcs get this $500 cpu and it should work better..." or "put everything on low"..you/I sill get the exact same frame dip no mater what settings.
  8. I don't know if this has been posted but since these forums use vBulletin this seems like it may be of concern. https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2016/08/27/9-3-million-accounts-compromised-in-epidemic-of-forum-hacks-funcom-epic-and-more/
  9. I'm still in the same boat brother, and whats worse is that a few days ago It was back to 60FPS like its always been then the FPS went back to s@%#, This is beyond frustrating and I feel I have done every reasonable thing within my power and nothing works....even on everything low and/or turned off the FPS drop in the same places and to the same amount of FPS 30-15 out of seemingly nowhere. My old settings that got me rock solid 60fps now get me 60 down to 15. I know my PC is int exactly a beast but people with i7s and GTX 1070/1080s seem to have as similar problem.
  10. That was completely uncalled for but that is your opinion. Go look at the bug fix list, RAZBAM have done an amazing job so far with this aircraft and are one of the best example of dev/consumer relations I have seen. The Mirage has come along way since its first release and yes still has a bit to go but I knew that when I purchased the module as a BETA!!!
  11. Good to know  learn something new everyday, neat thing about how the F-16 has different states for breaking. I guess even "simple" things like a parking break on a high performance or heavy aircraft are a lot more complicated then the parking break on say a manual transmission. But unlike in a car you can't pull off to the side of the road if theirs a fire. Thanks for the info guys :smartass:
  12. That makes sense, I believe most military aircraft manuals state to use chocks?. The question then is when is the parking break usually used? extended stays in a hanger or tarmac? In FALCON 4 BMS F-16 I use the parking break switch if I need a minute to to a before takeoff check list, is it better to use toe breaks? or dose it only matter after a landing? I may have to flip through some manuals again. I think the F-16 has a whole section on heat build up in the breaks I will have to re-read, not the same as the Mirage but I never did find an English translated Mirage 2000C manual.
  13. One could argue it's SOP when shutting down the aircraft to apply the parking break to, unless your actually not suppose to...I suck at French so the real manuals iffy for me. So when getting in for a cold start it should already be applied? I don't know I could go either way on this. Yes you should absolutely check to make sure its on when "getting in" or starting the engine. I believe it also has rolled on me without the engines running maybe the wind or an incline. :D
  14. Yes! I cannot count how many times when I was learning the start up for the M2000C I looked up as I rolled into the grass....or once int a fuel truck :joystick:. I learned my lesson but it would still be a great idea. Now i'll just have to remember to unlock the parking break on take off.
  15. I believe it's a know issue, I have been using the M2000C allot lately and definitely notice on that aircraft although that may be a separate issue.
  16. One can dream!
  17. This great series is from a while ago back in 2008 and I remember watching in envy. I suspect most people outside Canada may have not heard about it but I found it to be a gem. The show follows rookie student pilots as they learn the CF-18 and obviously have a blast doing it. Even if your not Canadian, check it out if you have time. [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96DhFQQFzZ8&list=PLflKdQUgGwW5yRnwarsbFzrDbf4s9f8SJ[/ame] [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJ_NkTLaKLs&list=PLflKdQUgGwW5yRnwarsbFzrDbf4s9f8SJ&index=2[/ame] [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtwiPLDIi4I&list=PLflKdQUgGwW5yRnwarsbFzrDbf4s9f8SJ&index=3[/ame] [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecWzu2zdRbQ&list=PLflKdQUgGwW5yRnwarsbFzrDbf4s9f8SJ&index=4[/ame] [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWg7xe8vwO0&index=5&list=PLflKdQUgGwW5yRnwarsbFzrDbf4s9f8SJ[/ame] [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icyfLlhVfJc&index=6&list=PLflKdQUgGwW5yRnwarsbFzrDbf4s9f8SJ[/ame] [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbONG3i_BQk&list=PLflKdQUgGwW5yRnwarsbFzrDbf4s9f8SJ&index=7[/ame] [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1EFTBYQ2p7M&index=8&list=PLflKdQUgGwW5yRnwarsbFzrDbf4s9f8SJ[/ame]
  18. I have the same issue some times and other times its fine I know its irreverent and probably not the same issue but your description reminds me of an episode of Jetstream...Great Canadian show btw...where a student pilot was landing a CF-18 and the aircraft started pulling left but she countered with to much right rudder then over correct again to the left. She was literally 1.5 sec away from rolling the aircraft luckily the instructor in the back seat took over. I'm trying to remember the technical term for it but it escapes me.
  19. Hmm..I am not sure then. I have never experienced this kind of screen tearing that V-sync didn't fix at 1080p. I have very limited experience with 4k so cannot comment on that but there are allot of very experienced people on these forums that will know more that should comment after seeing your video. Sorry I couldn't help but hope you find a fix
  20. Wow this is another strike against MadCatz/Saitek and now a days I pretty much hear bad things about them. I have the same issue with quality, there just badly put together and poorly designed, the only thing keeping them afloat is the cost. The X55 I have is not the worst I'v ever seen but I have had to re solder a few wires and re grease/graphite everything and theirs this sloppy loose dead zone issue I have that's related to build quality that annoys me to no end when your trying to fly level.
  21. WOW! that's crazy and would really suck for the one guy who gets the blame. I try to imagine that here in north America and it dose sound crazy. Unless its a special case usually its the company as a whole that's at fault unless proved otherwise. Law is far from my specialty and I really need to read up more as a citizen everyone has individual rights and it mostly the person responsibility to learn them. I don't ever remember learning ANY Canadian law in High school...I think we read the Canadian charter of rights and freedoms once but that was it.
  22. Ahh that makes sense . And that sucks about it only being in the US but I guess I can understand that since the case was settled in the US.
  23. yeah that looks like screen tearing, enable v-sync see if that helps.
  24. Really? I'v never had that problem. There is a new firmware update for the 970 btw that's suppose to fix issues like that, so maybe look in to that. Just be careful Firmware updates are not covered if something goes wrong so be sure you know what your doing and that It will fix the problem.
  25. GTX970 false advertising lawsuit No word on how to collect the $ yet. http://www.pcgamer.com/nvidia-settles-gtx970-false-advertising-lawsuit/ I was always aware that the 970 had 3.5 G VRAM but ....$40 CND is nice.
