Any word on the Throttle only going on sale? I'm not very interested in buying the Stick and Grip atm but am very interested in the Throttle. Thanks!

So one big limitation with the current free carrier module is we can't really fill it up with the necessary AI aircraft models and still have enough spots to spawn in and operate a virtual carrier air wing or even really a squadron. It would be so nice to be able to place Static AI F-18s and F-14s on deck that we can spawn into for purposes of keeping a very lively feeling carrier deck.:D

I would also love to see us be able to spawn into spots that are occupied by static aircraft! For those of us flying in Virtual Carrier Groups it would be so nice for a lively carrier deck to be able to have parked static aircraft that we can use as spawn spots!

I will happily pay a module type of cost for the features they are bringing to us!

We have a great flying paint of the Blackhawk by PorcoRosso to look like the SH-60 now: What would be so appreciated would be a AI Static SH-60 ASAP so we can have one folded up on the carrier for a realistic look.

Absolutely no doubt will be picking up the SuperCarrier Module Day 1. Our entire CSG-1 Naval Community will be doing so as well. I also very much look forward to the Forrestal Class as well! Hope we see it in 2019! That would be epic

I think you would be by far in the minority. Just about everyone who has the Hornet would jump on a Rhino with the unique differences. It is a completely different aircraft. The added Range, and payload would be a huge difference and if they added the multiplayer aspect of the F model that would really differentiate it and make it something truly unique in DCS.

This would have another huge market as a Rhino would surely pull in most Hornet buyers. Honestly a great add-on IMO would be a full priced module that included both the E and F models! That might make it the best selling DCS module to date. Lot 25 and earlier should be doable since they have mostly the same avionics as the Hornet.

Honestly this is the worst scenario...get it out in the viper discover a laundry list of bugs and push the Hornet TWS out months... And you're right I have no way of knowing for sure. I only know when Wags said a few members of the Hornet group were going to work on the Viper to help it get out the door and that would be very temporary. That was less than a month ago. So I would think that plugging in the appropriate resources from the Hornet to TWS would be a couple of week process using that math. I will also point out that I was fine with them diverting a few people the way they presented it. And I defended ED to people that were upset. I didn't think they would pursue the Viper development past the Hornet when that was announced.

There are a lot of people in here that aren't making personal attacks on others, or getting out of line with ED. Because we aren't happy and voicing that it doesn't mean we are being kids, or entitled etc etc etc. Most are being quite respectful. It was a terrible decision and it doesn't look good to a large portion of the community. The single most important feature over all the other stuff TGP, LGBs, JSOW, JDAM, Mavs etc etc etc is TWS and a lot have been very patiently waiting for it! I'm not usually someone on here being critical of ED. I'm usually just the opposite. In fact the only thing I think I've voiced in a while was a bit of unhappiness on the Ladder not being fixed in the hornet. All that said I really hope that TWS in in the Hornet within a week or two at the most from the time the Viper gets it...otherwise resources have been diverted a lot longer than we think.

I guess the biggest point is this is a unforced error. If you finished TWS for the Viper...don't say a word. Get it finished for the Hornet and release them both at the same time. You have a lot of people that have been waiting for TWS above all things for a long time and to come right out and give the Viper a huge A2A edge right out the gate is not something that makes people happy. I'm sure no one would have an issue if they came out at the same time but this isn't something that is very palatable at all. I'm definitely someone that usually drinks the kool-aid 99% of the time. And I'm not one to come on here and say much of anything other than point out bugs. But this one hurts.

Viper getting TWS first... Guys I'm sorry I've been supportive of most everything ED does. I'm one of the first people to talk other people down from flaming over issues and see the reasoning behind things. I've seen the post by Nine Line explaining the "efficiency" of keep the radar guy on the Viper to finish TWS... But that is in unacceptable! If it's done then hold it till you have them both done! That's not how you keep a customer base happy. That's how you anger them. You have a group that's been loyal bought all your new releases including the Viper in my case. But the promise was that the Viper would not take priority and that after release those people would go back to the Hornet. To not get TWS at least at the same time is a slap in the face to every Hornet customer. TWS has been the most called for function in the jet since day one...way more important than Mavs, JSOW, Harpoon, TGP etc etc etc etc I'll get off my soapbox now and refrain from defending ED the next time something like this comes up....

I very much appreciate the EA model. Am in general happy with the Viper and how they plan to address things and excited about the roadmap of upcoming updates that should get to us soon! But....How did they not fix the F-18 Striper pole???? Seriously! That is just crazy!

I wouldn't be discouraged by some of the negative posters. The Hornet module is awesome and very well done. They have made good progress and have told us they are currently working on some more complex systems so any perceived slowdown in feature updates is completely explainable. The opinion that their priorities are elsewhere is also not factual. ED has explained that they are now using a modular approach to development. So teams working on systems for the Viper have already completed their Hornet responsibilities. If your considering it get the Hornet and enjoy it! It's pretty awesome and only going to get better when we get the upcoming ED Full Fidelity Carrier!

Any update on this? Any chance we could get the 3D model as a static object to replace the terrible 1980s looking SH-60 that ED has in game for parking on the carrier?

Will this work with extensions and does it bolt down from the bottom? just trying to figure out how I would mount it in my cockpit. Thanks!

I would love to see some new types no doubt but I would think the easiest solution would be to get the KC-135MPRS working both ways. That would certainly be ideal

For large multiplayer groups like ours it would be a huge help if the KC-135 MPRS can refuel with both the Boom and wingtip baskets! It would alleviate a serious juggling act and the number of tankers we need to have on our servers when the Viper hits thanks!

I've had multiple flights where my D/L wasn't sending any data even though I set it up and turned it on to the correct channel 127. When I noticed I didn't have any data on my D/L I pulled it up and noticed my Channel was 168...tonight when flying with my squadron we had multiple jets have the same issue and here is what we surmised.... We all fired up our jets. Part of our setup was turning on the D/L and IFF etc. Then we setup our stores with Laser codes...I used 1688...this caused the D/L to also change to 168(grabbed the first 3 numbers)...I had to change it back to 127 in flight to get data. We had this issue with multiple people in our flight with the D/Ls all being changed to the first 3 digits fo the laser code.
