[MOD] DCS Caucasus Terrain Texture Switcher Mod

Hi Uboats, Thank you for the mod, it is awesome. Quick question, is there a way to choose your blending options automatically in the Config\terrain\High.lua file for each of the separate texture packs? Or is it always just going to use your default option, and I just have to adjust it manually to the texture pack I am currently using. Basically I am asking if there is a way to load my High.lua settings automatically for each pack that I choose to use. Thanks a lot. I love this little utility. -
Hi Guys, I have a quick question....hoping someone here can help me. I am using moonlight to stream to my Samsung Galaxy Edge 7 phone, and everything works fine except for one thing. For some reason when I stream my sound disappears from the speakers and is played through the phone. When I exit out of Gforce screen everything goes back to normal. Does anyone know how to disable the sound from the phone and having it play through the speakers like it usually does. Thanks a lot.

Thank you for the review Sov13t. I am currently using a hacked version of the Samsung Gear VR headset with the Samsung galaxy edge 7 as the screen and contemplating on purchasing the rift. Your review was spot on regarding what I am seeing trough my headset as well even though its not a CV1. The initial wow factor from looking around in the pit in stereoscopic 3D, to the lack of resolution for any kind of A2A target spotting and gauge reading, and I am streaming in 4K with the phone having a slightly higher resolution than the rift (doesn't mean the image quality is better) I was hoping that all these things were just related to my headset and getting the rift would fix it, but I guess that's just the state of VR at the moment. Thank you for putting things into perspective. BTW even with the Gear VR headset the feeling of flight, altitude and speed is amazing, especially flying through the canyons.

Yea that's true, I enjoy having having the option to enjoy the work of different modders, free or paid. But from what I understand if it does become upgraded to NTTR standard, then there might be a possibility of it being locked, either way then everyone will get a free upgrade anyway, it just might take while. In the mean time I can enjoy new content....I hate waiting. -

Very nice job Starway, probably a day 1 buy for me. I can't believe people are complaining about an OPTIONAL DLC. For those that can't afford it I understand that, and there are really good options out there for you for FREE, like Bartheks texture and other modders which look just as good if not even better. But for me $15 is totally worth it, and I am thankful that there are members of the community that are able to add to the creation of content so that ED can concentrate on what they do best, the core product. After spending so much money on our PC's whats a few more dollars to enhance the experience (at least for me). -
Figured out the p-51 problem...immortal setting Duhhh Interesting theory about the F-15, but strange because first of all the flanker was designed second and to take on the f-15 so I would think the Russians would design it with the characteristics of the 15 in mind (if they were fully known of course at the time) In fact when they build the first prototype the main engineer decided to scrap the project and go back to the drawing board because it could not match the known characteristics of the 15. Why is it not likely that the F-15 will pull enough g's to bring it anywhere near to taking serious over-g damage? Is it because of the FBW limits? Or is it because it is a BVR fighter so it has no need? Theoretically speaking wouldn't the flanker reduce it operational hours as well by pulling high G's but not necessarily break its wings, other wise you would pretty much have a fleet of planes that are useless if piolets break the g limits for a few secs. I think that the laws of physics apply to all the planes equally (with some adjustments of course for structural design). regarding the s keys and the 30g turns, well yea that is pretty ridiculous and would definetly do some damage. From what i remember from playing BMS the F-16 and even the mirage both have a FBW over ride switches for extreme situations, not sure if the 15 does or not, but it seems that it probably would have something similar as well, in which case it should be able to break a wing also IMHO ofcourse.

I assume that holds true for other aircraft as well, the g-load limit being reduced that is...like the f-15 for example. I noticed a couple of other strange things after the last update though (Well may be they are strange), I was flying fully loaded at around 900 kph when I executed 30 degree left bank without even pulling back on the stick yet and lost my left wing, so if you are just banking to one direction is there supposed to be a possibility of loosing a wing as well? also (and i know this is not related to this thread)but while flying the P-51D I was trying to do everything possible to break my wings, but couldn't do it after this update, i remember from flying this aircraft before that it wasn't too hard to do it before. To be fair its been a few months since i flew the mustang though so not sure if its the last update, but can't help to think that it could be related to the update. Just wanted to put it out there. Thanks.

Thanks for the explanation GGTharos. I guess that makes sense, I always assumed that the plane was designed to be more capable than the piolet even with a full combat load.

This might have been discussed here already, so I apologies if I'm asking it again. How come the wings on the flanker break off all of a sudden when doing high g turns, wouldn't the piolet black out first, so that would be your indication that you are pulling to many g's, however in this case the wings just break off without any indication of a pilot going into g lock. Does that mean the piolet can sustain a higher g load than the plane? That's what seems strange to me, or am I missing something?

They already had all these objects created and placed, and from what I remember they were pretty historicly accurate. With some good retexturing it would be very sweet. -
It would be really cool if ED came out with a DLC to repopulate the old Crimean map from the lock on days, I mean we can still fly there. I would definitely pay for that. Sorry to go off topic, just wanted to put it out there.

Dogfighting yes....BVR is a different story, I think a Mig-29A with the 80's load out is a pretty challenging and a fair opponent for the Mirage even in its current stage.

Thats what I like to hear, if the Mirage is any indicator of the quality of work you guys are doing, the F-15E its going to be freaking awesome (and I am a Russian birds kind of guy), definitely a day one pre-order for me. You guys are just amazing, RAZBAM you have me as a customer for life.

Yea he is definitely wasting his resources. Because he is doing everything from scratch himself, I think thats why this project is probably dead, no updates from the developer in a long time. But the avionics and systems looked very very detailed for both cockpits. If he just became a 3rd party developer he wouldn't have to do it from scratch, and this would have turned out to be a very cool module, and probably would gave been out by now. Thats really too bad :(

Sorry if I am a little slow to catch on, but I also just read through this entire thread and don't understand what the exploit is. Can some one please explain it to me in simple terms. Are you saying saying that Russian missiles don't work good at all, or they work too good, or is there something wrong with using a lot of chaff and flares? Besides the usual lag and warping that makes missiles loose track, is there something else that's not right or is considered cheating? What exactly are we talking about. -

Razbam is the model of what a 3rd party developer should be like, a 4th gen aircraft that everybody wants, on time releases, great communication with the community, and an excellent work ethic. Keep up the good work. I will buy everything you make, you got a customer for life.
