  1. Took me something like 20 hours of practising to be somewhat decent at it. Usually 1-2 hours and then a break or called it a day. I practised a formation flying a little bit before though.
  2. Hornet definitely takes quite long to stop. Comparing to Su-27 even without its landing parachutes it takes more of a runway lenght to stop.
  3. My 2 cents here. In mp, using LGBs I don´t have to hold it, but, when using Mav I have to hold it. So i bound the trigger also to my hotas throttle "APU start" switch and I don´t have to hold it even for Mav. I just switch the button and I am good to go.
  4. I tried it too yestarday without any success. If I understood correctly, Wags said in comments of his 2nd TGP video on youtube, that IR Mav can not be slaved to TGP. So probably not even a WIP.
  5. First of all thanks for making it untill the end of the month as I hoped. Does anyone know how to slave non laser maverick to tgp?
  6. Good job with the tests. Interesting results. Thanks.

I am sure they will make it until the end of this month *fingers crossed*
  8. I think that requesting a reasonable amount of money for the updated version for the owners of the original module is both fair and rational. It would be questionable if money were requested for the graphic overhaul only which is not the case and so ED have my support for this decision. I know it is not the same case, and maybe not the best example, but I see it kind of in the similar way as if I owned the original Doom game from 1994 and someone would make the remake of it level by level, episode by episode in the new Doom 2016 engine and adding something like flamethrower (that was promised for Doom 2 but did not make it to the release), I would also pay this person or company some reasonable price for it. No problem. We are not getting new DCS game every 5 years (and it would not be sustainable to pay for all the modules full price every 5 years for most of us I believe), ED is working on old modules also, while keeping the game graphicaly beautiful and I think what they are doing now with BS3 is smart, fair, good business and I fully support it. If the money is right, and I believe it will be, you have it from me on day 1 presale. Thanks, ED.
  9. Roughly 70mp/30sp for me. I like playing with others a lot, but I also enjoy playing sp campaigns and sp missions from time to time. Also when it comes to practising something like air-to-air refueling or carrier landing I prefer practising it in single player so that I can focus on the task entirely without any distractions.
  10. Did you even read my whole post? Or are you just trying to pick some of my thoughts out of context? Either way, I absolutely love Tomcat ;) And, please, don´t tell me what I will enjoy or not. You don´t know me and you have no idea. Cheers.
  11. Oh my, that sure is a tough one. I fly them both from the day one. Hornet is just an amazing plane in all its abilities and capabilities. It can do everything and it does it pretty well. For me the way it handles all the situations feels almost like a cheating. But the Tomcat... First I must say I am not a big Topgun movie fan, I don´t think the plane looks as beautiful as other people think. It does not have the detailed HUD like the Hornet, in the cockpit there are gauges everywhere instead of beautiful MFDs and dogfighting in this one is a hard, hard work (or maybe I am just still too lame). I should also say that I fly it only solo. But boy, when those two strong engines kick in, you can really feel the power. Flying this plane is so enjoyable and such an experience that I can´t think I can even describe it. It can do a lot of things, bombing, fighting, it is a capable aircraft and I really like it a lot. So, which one should you get? Both. But if you can choose only one? Then it depends on what you want. If you want the pure capability both air to air and air to ground with little compromises, pick the Hornet. If you want to feel the pure joy of flying an aircraft, taming it, learing it while also doing a lot of stuff like air to air combat and ground pounding, then pick the Tomcat.
  12. Confirming the campaign doesn´t crash after first two heli missions. I started this campaign yesterday evening finishing first mission and finished second mission an hour ago. No problem so far.
