I don't have this problem (don't have VR) but have you checked if the cargo cam exists in the controller assignments and can be assigned keys/buttons? If not, try my MOD below and assign a button and see if you manage to get rid of it. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3622861

Mjolnir response - multiple crashes - HUD not right
Holton181 replied to Leviathan667's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
It have happened to me in an air start mission, first flight it was okay but for succeeding LShift+R (mission reload) it was off like this. Reported it in a simmilar manner in another thread a while ago, don't remember which unfortunately. Don't have any tracks to offer either. Edit: Found it: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3661119 -
Good to see you figured it out. I don't remember, but does JSGME have any sort of "update changes tracker" or whatever I should call it? I'm using OvGME instead and that tool has a function to record a "snapshot" of your install, and after an update you can run a compare and see all files that have changed (of course, clean installs). If any of these are part of any MOD, use something like Notepad++ with the comparison addon and compare the MOD file with the new original. Hopefully you know what code in the moded files that belongs to the MOD, every other difference is due to the update and can be transferred over to the MOD file. When done with all relevant files, create a new snapshot before activating your MODs. This is how I do it after every uptate to keep all MODs up to date. Unfortunately it won't help you with this particular problem, but go through all your MODs and compare all files with original ones (might be tedious, but its only need to be done ones), then start using this method and you'll be fine. If you are interested in OvGME: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=171956 (go to last post for the last installation file)

Which training missions come with the mi8
Holton181 replied to jozeff's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
Many people have problems with VRS when coming in for landing/hovering. You need to take it very slow in the beginning, watching the VSI and never exceed 3m/s down (yes, graded in m/s, not fet/minutes). Be prepared with the collective when leaving ETL (lott of shaking and rattling indicate it) -
Mission 9 "Whiskey" trees problems with 2.5
Holton181 replied to Bigozor's topic in Missions and Campaigns
I haven't played this on 2.5, but in my opinion, if a landing/low hover is difficult but doable it just adds some quite interesting and realistic aspects to the mission. In a combat situation it's not always possible to be picky about landing spots. Even in civilian operations it happens you get forced to land in very narrow clearings, making your forehead wett. -
Complete lack of any information, big or small, isn't what I call "balance"...

Known issue, been there for a long time. Happens for other module as well, but most frequently for the Viggen for what I know. Best way to do this is to start a mission, hit ESC, and go to the controls setup and do everything from there. Will not crash on you.

Thanks for this, I didn't understood it when reading mentioned thread. Let's hope they refine the weapons delivery procedure descriptions in the manual and include safety heights (numbers) and their effects on delivery for each weapon. No need for you to make this change in my opinion, now that I have a better idea how it's supposed to work. Thanks again!

Thanks for this corvinus! Just had a go on some of them and they seem to be really helpful. Now, regarding level bombing, do you consider updating these missions with the "Weapon safety height" set to "Low"? I ask not because I've tried it yet, but you acknowledged you didn't know about the problems that could be present if not "Low", here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3656625 It have been reported that it might also have an effect on other weapons as well, what do you think about that? Edit: post #6 by TLTeo https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3665045 No biggie to edit the missions ourselves, but I just thought I'll ask.

RB 75 seeker cross lock gate not functioning.
Holton181 replied to hideki2's topic in Bugs and Problems
Just played the two RB75 missions by corvinus, and I could lock before unsafe. In several restarts [LShift+R] on both. On latest OB. -
It's a long time I used JSGME, but I believe you can but maybe with some slight modifications. I don't know what though. The folder structure inside "UH-1H Enabled Keys and Buttons 2.5" is the same as in the main game folder. I use OvGME myself and this MOD is ready to be used with that tool (I had forgotten to add that info in the OP)

I've seen this in Caucus but last week, on second last version. Don't remember what mission, I think it was some weapons practice mission with air start. It was first okay but after a restart of the mission (not DCS or computer) it looked like in the picture. Didn't have time to check for repeatability and now I'm off from home until next week.

Another maybe not realistic method could be to tune in to an arbitrary airfield and announce "Inbound". If no answer select another one somewhere else until you get a response. Then you get a bering and distance an can determine roughly where you are. Cancel the inbound and tune in to other nearby airfields and repeat to fine-tune your estimate. Might be considered cheating though...

[MOD] More natural Cargo View
Holton181 replied to Holton181's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
Looks like it ;-) Good luck. -
[MOD] More natural Cargo View
Holton181 replied to Holton181's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
Try that. If it works I guess it has to do with it not working properly with jsgme. Do you use the mod .zip in jsgme or unpacked? I don't remember how jsgme work compared to OvGME, or if they can use the same .zip files. -
upuaut's Bell 47 Alpha release!
Holton181 replied to Hawkeye60's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Good to hear! I actually had a difficulty remembering my exact procedure installing it, and I'm not at home to refresh my memory. I'm happy you solved it anyway. -
[MOD] More natural Cargo View
Holton181 replied to Holton181's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
If jsgme (or OvGME I use myself) is configured correctly there shouldn't be a problem. Do you manage other MODs with jsgme? Do they work? When you did your cleaning, was it by using the updater or manually? Have you tried a repair? -
Try this: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3622861 Most likely you have one of those controllers with their own dedicated setup files other than the default.lua. That line needs to be present in the same location in that file as in default.lua. In above MOD this is taken care of for all controllers exept the ones added in the last OB update. (It also contains a few extras...)

Wasn't really about the question per se, but the tendency to put price tags on decent hardware an claiming it cheap (wrong spelling earlier, sorry), while the same exact hardware might cost three times as much in another part of the world. And the following discussion quickly became divided between "IT'S A BARGAIN!" and "ARE YOU TRYING TO RUIN ME?!" without stating background and people basically started to accuse each other being either chinchy or fanboys. Since this forum is an international one, judging price tags can generate very different reactions depending on location and social status. So dashing others opinion might not be perfectly fair.

Guys, one rather important aspect I don't see considered here is that this hobby of ours are enjoyed worldwide, by fellow pilots from very different countries when it comes to salaries, import taxes, sales taxes and such things. So throwing around prices for various hardware setups and claiming it sheep or robbery or anything in between really don't have to be correct in an other part of the world than your own. The price you pay might be like a month salary, while another guy has to spend a year salary to get the same setup. And the price for our DCS modules are the same worldwide, and that will definitely affect different users economies in different ways, some will have to save for it a long time, while others just spend a dinners worth on it. I don't take side, just want to broaden your view here a little.

I'm not saying you are wrong, but this doesn't necessarily have to indicate too efficient brakes, but rather too high friction between tires and the ground are used.
-
For what I understand it's only a part of it. I WANT IT ALL!!! ;-) Seriously, I really looking forward to it.
