Anytime I have problems turning on target...I just release the trim and it works everytime. Not much help sorry :-(

I had that loadout in an MP game once before. I wasn't sure what it was so I just changed the loadout.

I played with the keyboard for 1 month and managed to get through the GOW phase 1 with only 4 deaths. The secret is to make sure you take everything slow---dont manouver the KA-50 too much or you wont be able to recover. Small inputs. Also practice a lot. Load any of the training missing and take control and just fly around .. eventually you will get used to it. For trimming - when you get into position you want to hold - press the Trim button - done. Using a keyboard wasn't all that bad. I started off with just keyboard. Bought X52 then TrackIR4... much much better obviously...

This is EXACTLY why I'm buying TrackIR....CANNOT WAIT to join the cool club...haha

It's only a matter of time before someone in the community makes a sweet training manual / missions / guides...etc. I didn't go through any of the training missions that came with DCS. My short term memory is crap and I dont like writing notes. I learned how to play from reading the forums/Manual and lots and lots and LOTS of practice.

Some people are just excited about this sim and want to engage the community :-)

If AH-64 is after the A-10 - we could be seeing it in 18 or so months? I can wait that long - gives me a reason to keep on ticking.:thumbup: September 2010 for DCS AH-64! wooo hooo

When I first started flying I hovered anywhere from 2-3km and I was hit - SEVERAL times from tanks main gun. When you get hit - the games says you "crashed." The tank shell blows you up completely. At first it seems like there is a lag, a two second pause then .... gone ... lol

Actually no - I had to wipe my hard drive clean from a virus - I re-installed windows and Blackshark - The installer never asked me for a key. I've done this twice now - both times I've never had to use my key.

Hi - I've done a re-install twice in the last two months - both times I was able to install and play Blackshark without any activation :-)

After buying and being very happy with Blackshark - I dont mind buying ANYTHING you guys have for sale :-) ...does the AH-64 come with it? lol jk

reset TRIM and let go of the controls usually does the trick for me.

Yes that has happened to me before a few times. It's been a while since it happened so I'm not sure what's exactly causes it.

Hey - the only thing I can think of is maybe your have Auto-Turn on Target still active and not centered after you have disengaged. Maybe not but just a thought

I would like to add to this. Get compressed air and clean the dust out of your PC as well. I do it at least once a week (i have a dusty house).

Very overwhelming at first. I started playing with the keyboard - that was not very fun - after a week got used to it.... Then i bought a joystick - X52 - I suddendly realized that the stick is meant for right handed people - had to learn to fly right handed - felt like i was learning to walk all over again - ouch.. The only problem I'm having flying now is making right turns - beceause i'm left handed - it just something thats gonna take time...lol

I used to have the problem. Very sluggish. Then suddenly it stopped. Not sure why or how - it just started working properly.

#1. If your laser stops working suddenly and you can't lock anything up - switch to guns - then back ATG - and it should work again. #2. If you see an incoming missile - turn 90 degrees away and dive while dropping flares - tactic seems to work again most SAM threats. #3. Use low rate of fire setting for cannon or you will run out of ammo really quick. #4. Practice flying in a mission with no threats, practice a lot! I have some more but i'm at work - can't remember all that i wrote down

I'm a real noob when it comes to joysticks..just got my first ever Saitek X52 - it's a lot more complicated these days..lol... anyways - I've downloaded some other people profiles..but I can seem to load them in BS because it wants an lua file? The profiles I downloaded are in a .pr0 format.. Not sure exactly what to do...any help?

Agreed! I've played over 40 missions already and have not crashed once! I have to give them big gratz on that!! :thumbup: my specs; Q6600 3GB RAM Geforce 8800GT Windows XP
