  1. ^This. The GCIs on both teams have done a damned good job. :thumbup: And as for what GCIs do to a team, look at NaCH's video. That was a crazy fight...
  2. Sweep's Take/Outro/Recommendations Just some comments and remarks: I think if we could make this slightly less unbalanced during the day (talking from US EST zone) it would be great. I don't even care if its still 1.5 plus to 1, just keeping it below 2.5-3:1 for red would be fine! Other recommendations: Remove squadron slots, they're getting in the way on both sides (afaik, heard some stuff from red too). Go back to modern weapons (I miss the AA-10D threat and AMRAAM singularity)and modern-ish air defenses (SA-11/Hawk/etc., maybe LR stuff at rear bases). Anyways, as of right now it seems Red will win, so if that happens, congrats dudes, you guys definitely deserve some reward for that hard work! Definitely looking forward to improvements in future rounds. See you guys in Round 6!
  3. Totally disagree about putting any sort of player count limit. I think blue simply needs more -active- players. BTW...Greg, I think I asked this earlier but I'll ask again now: Can you bump the server limit up to 61 players? I think the host still counts as a player.

  6. The missile kinematics don't match the encyclopedia (nor should they). Shoot within 8 miles and crank HARD - You'll win.

  9. I think blue could use more Euro players next round, but I don't think the player count limit is a good idea.
  10. I heard somebody mentioning a refuel convoy idea the other night, someone else said it wouldn't work because of DCS's love for moving ground forces... Why not have static convoys, like we have cities and farps, all over the map?

  12. Recommendations on the fuel system: 1) Add more fuel to the crates 2) If not 1, then please reduce the fuel used from aircraft spawn or whatever to 10 3) If neither 1 or 2, can you remove the fuel system?

    F-15E?

    It takes a LOOOOOOOOOONG time to develop an aircraft, especially one as complex as F-15E. I'd imagine we'll see it early next year MINIMUM, probably much more than that, IMO.

  22. IMHO, if we had more players, the fuel system would be great. Speaking of players, could we get 61 slots instead of 60? I'm not sure if you guys did this already (haven't noticed... :(), but it would be better for the team balance stuff I think, yeah yeah, one player, whatever! :D ATM, I'd like it removed...But I'm an impatient fighter guy, so... :) Maybe increase the amount of fuel carried by helos? It would make them targets of much higher value (depending on the amount of fuel) and it would make fuel runs more enjoyable (IMO). Thanks!
  23. Find some visual reference points, get in contrails. Find things on radar to call your range/bearing from, too. Also, as mentioned, use your position from a steerpoint (or bulls, with your navigation system or F10 map) to rejoin. If you're on a server with the F10 map, try using the MGRS grids, they are very helpful!
  24. 1) I'd recommend going STT on a contact within about 8-10 miles, use auto acquisition as needed if you're tally...Remember that the cone shortens at closer range, so proper cursor AND altitude bracket placement is critical here - You don't have much time in that scenario, mistakes will spell quick death (against something that isn't an AI, the AI is forgiving of your mistakes.). BTW, if you're up high, get your head outside of the cockpit and try to find contrails...You won't miss them! 2) Check your controls, you might have some sort of binding issue, I can hold the trigger down (using a TM Warthog) and spew all 940 rounds real fast. That said, NOT holding the trigger down is nice sometimes...Accuracy, yo!
