Concerning the maximum IAS, would you rather want to have irreparable engine or structural damage each time you excess speed limit, regardless whether the game is in the EASY FLIGHT or SIMULATIONS mode? As for the "acceleration graph", I modeled accelerations according to telemetry data retrieved on multitude of real aircraft test flights. Acceleration time from 0.5 to x.x M (depending on the engine setup) is almost perfect match to the averaged data set I have, and data itself vary from aircraft to aircraft a bit; they also deviate from published data a bit, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. Concerning the graph itself, there are other graphs which are more illustrative to that problem. In general, my impression is that the finesses are represented here as "horrible" which they are not.

  7. Have you tried to disable all other mods and try starting 21? Have you reached the point of Star Force activation dialog (ever, with this configuration/installation)? Have you tried registry fix ever? It is worth to lover all settings, run the DCS in a low-res window, disable all other mods for diagnostic purposes, and disconnect Internet access, until game starts properly.
  8. In one of your logs posted elsewhere, I have found DX error as a cause of a crash. Check your graphic card drivers and DX installation. Check the amount of GRAM, and if your card can actually support your settings.

  10. Noted, thank you. Bug no.1 - manual is correct, tested, confirmed Bug no.2 - debugged, main and aux Pitot are separated. UUA will nevertheless show around 0 degrees if DUA is frozen. Bug no.3 - debugged, main and aux Pitot are separated. Bug no.4 - ASP depends on Pitot for some calculations. Bug no.5 - Effect is implemented, unfortunately lacking visual representation. I hope this will be available someday.
  11. Both is true: hydraulic is used to operate air pressure valve.
  12. Compressed air is used if the handle is in upward position and the rudder pedals are moving. This is because the compressed air is used to brake the gears during the retraction process, without pilot's control. As for the emergency extraction, you statement is true. It is mentioned in emergency gears extraction procedure (handle have to be in the neutral position). Note that you would like to extract the gears using the emergency procedure only when the hydro pressure is actually lower than the air pressure (in wast majority of cases). Since the emergency extraction is extremely rare procedure, main reason for placing the gear handle in the neutral position is air-waste. I meet with Mr. Mueller. Some of the images on his Internet site (and most likely in the book) are taken in Serbia during his visit. He was a mechanic on MiG-21 relatively short time in Eastern Germany.

  14. Interesting enough, the reason for this bug might be the lack of "input devices", most notably the joystick. If it exist, it is not recognized. If you have it, try uninstalling the old drivers, then download latest (or proven) drivers, install the device, test it in Control Panel, then start DCS. Note: this is my guess, nothing special in the logs, except the absence of input device.
  15. In RL, use of drag chute is limited to max 10m/sec cross-wind due to strong effect on directional control (decreased) and stability (increased, turning). Drag chute behavior is not a bug.

Hello guys, this is what we have done in last month+: landing lights brake/repair fix fuel gauge fix /was not a bug, but users request/ fuel "450 lit"" light fix flaps, small tune cockpit engine sound fix suspensions improvement various commands/inputs fixed, some still exist /hard to "hunt" them around the forum/ further code optimization and reduced memory load I probably forgot some, but these are the most important. We wanted to fix that "ghost weapon still on the pylons" bug, but could not find the reason why it started to appear. We will have to ask ED to have a look at that one. Mike is finalizing improved external 3D model which will appear in DCS 2. Hopefully, we will release a painting pack /templates/ for you to create your own or your squadron skins. Out high priority at the moment is to improve FPS in cockpit. We are about to find a good solution. Hopefully, you will see it soon. Note that bugs will continue to appear now and then, since the DCS is extending, and it will get harder and harder to plug-in new aircraft without any conflicts.   21. Witchking, thank you for your kind words. MiG is first true 3rd party module, and thus still have some problems fully integrating into DCS environment. There are bugs here and there, but things are improving. Have a good time with the 21.
