Give me Gazelle, and I would post "bravery"... :)
-
Maybe in Serbia it would work? Certain about that! :)
-
Wow, we're contemporary ... In that time you never won a MP fight?????????? Unbelievable.... I'had won thousands... Kicking ass over Nellis Range???????? Yeah... So many wars/conflicts happened over Nellis....
-
Well, I'm not sure whether I deserve it, but I never had rudder pedals. Except soe I made many yars ago, but they didn't last. Also, it would be nice to have precise and vrsatile stick and throttle.

The guy who earns 5000 credits, still: Your example presented differently: the first guy spends 2 % of his salary for a DCS module, the 2nd guy spends only 1.2 %. In reality, they both have advantage over many people. For many Europeans, even, those 60 "credits" as you called them is 10 to 20 % of their salaries. Zimmerdylan, it has almost nothing to do with exchange rates, but with regional pricing policy. And, considering various Russian developers and publishers, it has been going on for a very long time.
-
Nice post, Zimmerdylan. But, you can get modules way cheaper if you understand Russian: "Dear users! Only DCS World keys purchased from these locations are valid purchases and can be activated in the Module Manager: DCS E-Shop Steam 1C, Gamazavr and YouPlay in Russia Acealpha in South Korea Any DCS World keys purchased from other sources are invalid and are simply trying to re-sell keys that are bound to other users or purchased through fraud. Such sites include Kinguin, CDExpress and G2A. If you purchase DCS World keys from these sites, we cannot help you. We suggest you contact these sites for a refund." Check the Russian prices...
-
The prices are not the same globally... Basically, as I've read some posts on this forum, we all are subsidizing Russian players... Those prices I posted are not sales, but regular prices... and you can find even lower ones.
-
Exactly... how many wars you know took place over Nevada????? @Neldrion: "If I am informed correctly, actually they are so good at it, they do professional military aircraft training software. DCS World for the home user market is only one side of their business " My point.
-
I would buy MiG-21 bis for 18.5USD immediately. But I am not Russian. So I have to pay 50USD... Lololol.
-
P-51 is less than 14 USD All other modules are less than 19 USD, including FC3. UH-1H, Mi-8MTV2, Ka-50, etc.
-
It is quite obvious that Russian players are paying quite a lower price for any DCS module than anybody else. Can you offer something similar to other, non-Russian players?

Your notice inspired this: Dear users! We suggest you contact these sites for a refund.

ED and TFC, can we have a weekend of Russian prices discount, at least? Like they used to be?

I believe it was self-evident. I did once try to play the actual Blue Flag campaign long time ago, but gave up because of horrible performance and lag issues. Recently, yes, I did, quite a number of times during test phase. It does show that active online community is very small. ZerO crash, I must say I realized what you wrote long time ago. Although, I must add there was a misunderstanding - I was never interested in Ace Combat. What I disagree with is a complacency and in my opinion quite a strange attitude of customers who, in turn, contribute to this airframe sim becoming even more niche. I would refrain from discussing it further now because it would start a discussion completely different than original post.
-
Would it be okay if I disagree? Although gratifying to developer, I find this thread not useful. Why, you may ask? Because we are all customers. While I wasn't fond of Falcon, I've been playing "sims" before 386SX came about. "Online", against distant players, even before there was a thing called Internet. Last night, at one point, there were 277 "players" online on DCS including servers themselves. All of real players were playing at a maximum of 20 servers, while the rest had been empty. And it's usually similar to that, or worse. Although there are various reasons for such a phenomenon, I don't think it's because players are spoiled by excellence. The last thing I would want with this response is to start a bickering why is something good or not.

CA is slowly, but steadily being improved. As far as I've noticed, mainly in the area of gun sights, aiming and such. Non-arcade targeting systems are being improved. Weapons available, too. Although it has a long way to go, it is quite different than, say, two years ago.
-
Beamscanner, I was referring only to "The radar was actually pretty good and enabled fairly long-range contacts." Similar to comparisons I had read many years ago and which stated that detection range was similar to then F-16's radar. Of course, F-15's was superior to both. And I also understood the downsides he explained. Export military technology is regularly downgraded. In that sense, I thought about EOS and its true capabilities. Oh, I posted that twice. Sorry.

Cold War "warrior" and a request for a campaign
Rabb replied to Cunning_Fox's topic in Su-25 for DCS World
Wow... Speaking about campaign improbability... WOW -
Which SU-25 has the most Versatile Capabilities ?
Rabb replied to SnowTiger's topic in Su-25 for DCS World
Completely agree. If target area is not heavily protected with SAMs, go Su-25. It is a joy to fly. And "kill" ground targets. If you need stand-off capability or you are flying against a heavily defended area, go Su-25T. Su-25 is lighter, faster, more maneuvrable and more pleasant to fly than Su-25T. But, if your task is difficult, Su-25T may be a better choice... ;) Also, Su-25T has unique SEAD capabilities currently in DCS... It is the only, truly SEAD capable plane right now. And it is completely free... ;) -
Wrong, it would not. To clarify, before 1.5.5 if you were keeping brake key pressed continuously while you were traveling at 35 kmh, for example, in a Su-27, you would have popped your tires. Now, that threshold is significantly raised, but you end up with tires blowing on take-offs at just 350 kmh. So, it's not about axis, it's about simulation.

Mk-20 Rockeyes are still present in some loadouts for A-10A and you can use them with those loadouts or if you copy those loadouts and modify them to your liking. During reload, you cannot chose them separately unless you chose the previous, default loadout. Models are still in the game, like everything else, but you don't have options to chose them when reloading... except in a way I described. I didn't find any info that those bombs aren't used today, to make things even more puzzling...
-
Agree. Previously, as it flew in a straight line, it would have hit a building. Now, it won't. Because buildings are invisible. To AI and missiles...
-
And even those export, so called monkey models, were more than competitive: http://foxtrotalpha.jalopnik.com/how-to-win-in-a-dogfight-stories-from-a-pilot-who-flew-1682723379 An excellent read, really. Pilot's life story... amazing.

Hi, Willie Hayes. I am superficially familiar with Falcon F-16. In DCS, there is (for some planes/choppers at least) an ETA till next waypoint on HUD, based on your speed (IAS/altitude or TAS). For most planes though, there is no such information, but you have to, once you reach certain altitude and IAS, to start a clock/stopwatch, and deduce your location. Each plane is, more or less, unique. If you can say which airframe you're interested in, I'm sure there would be a lot of guys giving you helpful information. ;)
