  1. Have you tried calling for ground power?

    STAR VR

Imagine the super computer required to run DCS on this thing at high settings!
  3. Thanks for the heads up and ongoing support, cheers mate.
  4. Being able to set up our own grass or dirt strips anywhere on the map would be great and for me a key element.
  5. Great updates but still eagerly awaiting multicrew which will revolutionise the Mi-8 in my opinion.
  6. Looking good flare. Is there any point assigning materials in blender as they will need reassign and 'making cool' once converted to 3DS Max?
  7. 1944 Map Scale What is the end goal for the 1944 Map? From memory I think on release it will stretch as far north as south London. Are there any future plans to increase the map northwards to include areas of East Anglian where the US 8th Air Force had the majority of their bomber and fighter bases or even include areas of Lincolnshire where the RAF based its bombers? Also will the map be extended east to include Germany so long range heavy bomber missions can be flown from the UK? Jacks
  8. Thanks Alexandr, are you planning on adding a bombing sight in the future?
  9. That looks very nice. Is that a temporary runway surface?
  10. They are the same frequencies as I have been using.
  11. So PRMG only works once ATC gives you clearance for particular runway? This could be where I am going wrong!
  12. I have tried everything to get the PRMG to work and nothing. I can get the Navigation and Descent modes to work but not Landing mode. It never intercepts the localiser or glideslope in landing mode and the green lights on the RSBN panel do not light up to show a signal is being recieved. I have tested this with Mozdok (Landing 36) and Krasnodar Center (Navigation-40, Landing-38) but nothing (and yes I am using the correct runways). Also I can not for the life of me pick up a NDB and I have tried several across the map including inner and outer beacons. Can some please suggest what I might be doing wrong or this a bug? Jacks
  13. Thanks for the update and great news about the licence, I hope you and the team enjoy some well earned rest.
  14. Ah, the video is not showing for me.

    Mirage F1

I think that maybe how the RL cockpit is.
  16. Am I missing something?
  17. Have I missed several posts on this thread? Nobody is requesting instant gratification or disrespecting the developers but rather asking for a more constant communication policy which would keep customers better informed. I know of some people that had an advance of pay this weekend so they could buy the gazelle if it was released this weekend as was hinted by the devs (Q1 release) previously with no follow up info or update. Yes this is just a 'game' but it is a game that many love and several on a lower income or no income at all have to scrimp and save to buy more modules for. This may mean that some people have to make small financial sacrifices to buy a module they have been waiting a long time for and so many could view the lack of information or updates as irresponsible. We as consumers are key stakeholders with both high influence and high interest and so no doubt feature very highly in every developers stakeholder analysis and project communication plan. As such I am surprised to see the current communication strategy across DCS. As key stakeholders, yes we do have entitlement as it is our money that will support a product and so I personally (this is my personal opinion) think that developers almost have a 'duty of care' to customers as they will be asking us to part with our hard earned cash which for many could create financial risk. This duty of care takes the form of robust communication as so the customer can make informed financial decisions mentioned above. No one in this thread is demanding a release now but rather asking, quite eloquently in some cases, for ED and developers to consider providing them with more information which as consumers will better allow them to make informed decisions (often financial) and will ultimately make them feel more invested in the product which can only be a benefit to the developers and wider DCS community. I don't think that ED or a dev posting a single line update post once a week is going to delay the development of a product but could yield greater benefits such as greater costumer satisfaction and loyalty. Can you imagine the uproar if Apple used the same communication strategies in the release of the next iPhone? Right, I have my foil hat on so DCS defenders, do your worst! :-)
  18. I agree that the Polychop team have been brilliant and my hat goes off to Oliver, Pat, Sven and Bryan. I am looking forward to testing what they have produced and will be happy if it is only a fraction of the quality shown in the screenshots and recent videos. The guys at Polychop should be encouraged by this lively debate as it shows that there is a great deal of interest in their work and a high level of anticipation surrounding the gazelles release.
  19. Surely customer relations are a key part of product development regardless of industry or product type. I am not suggesting any dev spends all day on the forums but rather ED keep their loyal customers informed on the progress of a product and by progress rough timeframes would suffice as mentioned above. RAZBAM seem able to develop at a startling rate whilst maintain exemplary customer relations and communication. I am not complaining about Polychop's level of communication as I regular check and post on their FB page and have been very impressed with the quality and frequency of updates regarding a number of their products under development. But I like many other members on this forum are excited about the release of the gazelle and feel that after an initial indication of the release date, things have gone quite. As I have stated previously, I am not concerned about when it is released but rather would like to have an idea when so I can budget for the purchase and stop checking their FB page and forum several times idea in anticipation of a possible unannounced release.
  20. This campaign sounds great! Looking forward to it.
  21. Shagrat, the point being made is not the pace of releases but rather keeping potential customers informed and communication. Like everyone here I am happy to wait as long as it takes for a high fidelity module to be released and will not complain, but I feel left in the dark and that is frustrating. Also I do not feel valued as a customer despite having invested a considerably amount of money in this sim already. Just my two pence worth.
  22. The constant waiting and being kept in the dark that is DCS is becoming tiresome and has driven so many people away from this otherwise great sim. I guess one day we may see transparency and devs/ED adaquately communicating with their potential customer base.
  23. My money is on a release next week but announcement this week.
