  4. Model enlargement off gets my vote. Seemed to work in 1.2 and makes it hard to spot me in my little helo!
  5. Model looking very nice indeed. Have you started developing the FM yet as that is undoubtedly the greatest challenge?
  6. Unfortunately I cannot do this as I need the bodies to spawn part way through a mission and several players will be observing their spawn point. Does anyone else know of a way to kill AI without an explosion or direct fire action?

  9. The Tornada is one of the must have aircraft and will be incredibly popular. I thought that ED may try and model it for NTTR since they have spent some time modelling a very nice AI version already.
  10. Thanks Baltic dragon, that seemed to the trick. But a few more questions have arisen..... How do you get troops to embark and dis embark from vehicles? How do I change the stance of infantry standing around? Is it possible to get them to kneel or lay down? Also what is the best way to populate an airbase with static aircraft? if I place static objects I have to place each one exactly, if I add AI aircraft on parking spots they have their engines running and after a few minutes taxi out for take off.   13. In ME, how you do get people to run instead of sliding around on their knees? Is there anyway to register Cannon rounds that hit the ground inside a trigger zone? Is it possible to set a route for AI but for them to only start moving once a condition has been meet and a flag is turned true? This would mean that until the condition is met they would stand and wait at the SP. Is there any way to get a vehicle convoy to return fire when contacted but continue driving the preset route instead of stopping to engage? Thanks in advance, Jacks.

  15. I am happy with the mission editor piece but at th moment the only civilian vehicle modelled In game is the armed technical by ranger. I am after a model of a civilian vehs that I can place on the maps and give it waypoints like the user made versions such as Rangers vehs. I thought a lua entry entry script could be written that would use the 3D models of the cars driving around Vegas and allow them to be used as insurgent units. Does that make sense?

  17. I have request for any of the modders out there. I am am wondering if someone could create a mod that turn a few of the civilian Vehicles included in NTTR into controllable vehs that can be set routes uses Mission Editor or player controlled. I assume this would mainly involve scripting since the models already exist in the DCs folder. I would like to use these vehs for Coop COIN missions where players must track vehs that insurgents have gotten into and follow them to target building to build up the intelligence picture for later missions and then strike the vehs when the terrain permits (I.e zero CIVCAS, zero CDE). Hence I am after some local style vehs that blend into the environment more. Is anyone willing to take up this challenge? Thanks in advance, Jacks
  18. I am trying to include a downed helo in the middle of a COIN mission I am designing. Is there anyway to have an AI or static helicopter such as a CH-53 spawn on the ground (in a field in NTTR) part way through a mission? Jacks
  19. Multicrew works although the need to map a key in the L-39 control section. You can swap controls and the instruments are synced but the gear, flaps, airbrakes and a few others are not. Enjoy!
  20. I think the large bombers would take a lot more time to develop due to number of crew positions and also modelling asymmetric flight would take time. Plus although the aircraft increases in scale, the level of detail remains the same and so modelling a larger amount of precise detail will be difficult and time consuming.

  22. Lysander is one of my favourite aircraft but a bit limited on DCS at the moment. I would love to see one in the future as it did,d be used to land in fields behind enemy lines to drop off and pick some agents.

  24. MBot, great work! Will the ATO generate tasks for attack helicopters and support helicopters? Also with the gazelle on the horizon, will it be able to generate recce tasks? Jacks

    New map idea

    Keen on maritime ops, I was thinking wherever not it would be possible to create an open water with no land at all so two fleets could battle it out in a wide open expanse with the challenge of locating people first. This map could be made from scratch or surely the Black Sea map could be modded so all the land is deleted. What do people think of this idea and is anyone willing to try and develop it?
