JTAC unresponsive in multiplayer, both ST and MT...
Flappie replied to Callsign JoNay's topic in Multiplayer Bugs
I've only tested SP (because I was able to reproduce the issue in SP). I'll now test it with my very simple dedicated MP server and see if I get a different result. I used the F/A-18C "test" aircraft to test by the way. -
JTAC unresponsive in multiplayer, both ST and MT...
Flappie replied to Callsign JoNay's topic in Multiplayer Bugs
@Gypsy I managed to fix the mission but I'm not sure where the problem comes from exactly. This is what I did: Initial Moonbeam frequency is 133 AM: Moonbeam doesn't respond. Changed Moobeam frequency to 135 AM: Moonbeam responds. Changed back Moonbeam frequency to 133 AM: Moonbeam responds. Then I did the same for Hammer (144 > 140 > 144) and he now responds. I assume this mission was made with a previous version of DCS, and it looks like the latest DCS version does not accept some parts of it, especially JTAC frequencies. I'll report this to devs for analysis. Thank you for bringing the mission file with you, it helps a lot. Here's your fixed mission. Please tell me if it works for you, now. Workups_WK3_Ai-JTAC-Helo-9Line3-OOBEJTAC-rev2_FIXED.miz By the way, I recommend to use VHF frequencies between 118 and 140 (included), because some modules can't reach 144 AM. See my spreadsheet, here. PS: the F/A-18C "West test" was moved and set to Invisible for my test, don't forget to edit this. -
JTAC unresponsive in multiplayer, both ST and MT...

The good news is that I'm able to reproduce the absence of answer from Moonbeam (at least), even in SP. I'll check what's wrong. -
The only way to hide it from DCS is to hide it from Windows: disable it in the Device manager. DCS Controls page displays every device DirectX can find.

Please attach a DCS track or at least the mission file. We can't help you if you don't attach one. -
Thanks for your precious feedback. Some other users have been having the same issue. One of them has solved the issue he was having with PIA VPN:

Since you have already reinstalled DCS, try this: Browse to Saved Games. Rename "DCS" into "DCS.bak" (do NOT delete this folder). Start DCS and see if you can reproduce the issue. Once your test is over, you can retrieve your custom settings and bindings by: renaming the new "DCS" folder into "DCS.new" renaming your "DCS.bak" folder into "DCS"

64 GB of RAM and 4 GB of pagefile here, and no issues. DCS does not need that much RAM to reach the main menu anyway. I think the issue is somewhere else: 2025-04-01 12:13:24.237 INFO EDCORE (Main): Loaded D:/DCS World/CoreMods/tech/SouthAtlanticAssets/bin/SouthAtlantic.dll 2025-04-01 12:13:24.238 INFO WorldPlugIns (Main): loading "South_Atlantic_Assets": 0.016 2025-04-01 12:13:24.250 INFO EDCORE (Main): Loaded D:/DCS World/CoreMods/aircraft/AV8BNA/bin/AV8B_AI.dll 2025-04-01 12:13:24.251 INFO WorldPlugIns (Main): loading "AV-8B N/A AI by RAZBAM Sims": 0.013 2025-04-01 12:13:48.308 INFO EDCORE (Main): Loaded D:/DCS World/CoreMods/aircraft/C-101/bin/C101Core.dll 2025-04-01 12:13:48.309 INFO WorldPlugIns (Main): loading "C-101 Aviojet by AvioDev": 24.058 2025-04-01 12:14:12.384 INFO EDCORE (Main): Loaded D:/DCS World/CoreMods/aircraft/ChinaAssetPack/bin/CAP_AI.dll 2025-04-01 12:14:36.420 INFO EDCORE (Main): Loaded D:/DCS World/CoreMods/aircraft/ChinaAssetPack/bin/JF-17_AI.dll 2025-04-01 12:14:36.421 INFO WorldPlugIns (Main): loading "China Asset Pack by Deka Ironwork Simulations and Eagle Dynamics": 48.112 2025-04-01 12:15:00.456 INFO CE2_AI (Main): Loading CE AI 2025-04-01 12:15:00.456 INFO EDCORE (Main): Loaded D:/DCS World/CoreMods/aircraft/Christen Eagle II/bin/CE2_AI.dll 2025-04-01 12:15:00.457 INFO WorldPlugIns (Main): loading "Christen Eagle II AI by Magnitude 3 LLC": 24.035 2025-04-01 12:15:00.470 INFO EDCORE (Main): Loaded D:/DCS World/CoreMods/aircraft/F-15E/bin/F15E_AI.dll 2025-04-01 12:15:00.471 INFO WorldPlugIns (Main): loading "F-15E AI by RAZBAM": 0.014 2025-04-01 12:15:00.487 INFO EDCORE (Main): Loaded D:/DCS World/CoreMods/aircraft/F-4E/bin/HeatblurCore.dll 2025-04-01 12:15:24.597 INFO EDCORE (Main): Loaded D:/DCS World/CoreMods/aircraft/F-4E/bin/HeatblurComponents.dll 2025-04-01 12:15:48.663 INFO EDCORE (Main): Loaded D:/DCS World/CoreMods/aircraft/F-4E/bin/HeatblurDCSBase.dll 2025-04-01 12:16:12.697 INFO EDCORE (Main): Loaded D:/DCS World/CoreMods/aircraft/F-4E/bin/F-4E-AI.dll 2025-04-01 12:16:12.698 INFO WorldPlugIns (Main): loading "F-4E AI by Heatblur Simulations": 72.227 2025-04-01 12:16:36.749 INFO EDCORE (Main): Loaded D:/DCS World/CoreMods/aircraft/F14/bin/F14-AI.dll 2025-04-01 12:16:36.750 INFO WorldPlugIns (Main): loading "F-14B AI by Heatblur Simulations": 24.052 2025-04-01 12:16:36.765 INFO EDCORE (Main): Loaded D:/DCS World/CoreMods/aircraft/M-2000C/bin/M2KC_AI.dll 2025-04-01 12:16:36.766 INFO WorldPlugIns (Main): loading "M-2000C AI by RAZBAM Sims": 0.015 2025-04-01 12:17:00.807 INFO MiG21_AI (Main): Loading Mig21 AI 2025-04-01 12:17:00.807 INFO EDCORE (Main): Loaded D:/DCS World/CoreMods/aircraft/MiG-21bis/bin/MiG21_AI.dll 2025-04-01 12:17:00.808 INFO WorldPlugIns (Main): loading "MiG-21Bis AI by Magnitude 3 LLC": 24.042 2025-04-01 12:17:24.860 INFO EDCORE (Main): Loaded D:/DCS World/CoreMods/aircraft/Mirage-F1/bin/MirageF1Core.dll 2025-04-01 12:17:24.861 INFO WorldPlugIns (Main): loading "Mirage F1 Assets by Aerges": 24.052 2025-04-01 12:17:24.873 INFO EDCORE (Main): Loaded D:/DCS World/CoreMods/aircraft/OH-58D/bin/OH58D_AI.dll 2025-04-01 12:17:24.874 INFO WorldPlugIns (Main): loading "OH58D AI by Polychop-Simulations": 0.013 2025-04-01 12:17:24.884 INFO EDCORE (Main): Loaded D:/DCS World/CoreMods/aircraft/SA342/bin/SA342_ai.dll 2025-04-01 12:17:24.884 INFO WorldPlugIns (Main): loading "SA342 AI by Polychop-Simulations": 0.011 2025-04-01 12:17:48.933 INFO EDCORE (Main): Loaded D:/DCS World/CoreMods/services/CaptoGlove/bin/edCaptoGlove.dll 2025-04-01 12:17:48.933 INFO WorldPlugIns (Main): loading "CaptoGloveSupport": 24.049 DLL files are being checked one by one and it takes several minutes, which is not normal. Su-25T training mission #4 Beslan RWY reversed, mission too long
Flappie replied to virgo47's topic in Bugs and Problems
No worries, I'm OK with pings. I'll check and report back. -
I trust you. Ice-related failure, I knew. Dust-related failure, I didn't. @Kosta I stand corrected.

Tested in Release, I have no such issue. Out of curiosity, what is the format of your output sound in Windows? I have 24 bit, 48 000 Hz. Russian AWACS.trk

@hawa0835 If you want us to investigate your crashes, please provide the latest zip file from your "Saved Games/DCS/Logs".

Joystick Keybindings just disappeared
Flappie replied to huggy98's topic in Controller & Assignment Bugs - General
I see. Then I'm not sure what happened to you. Anyway, you have a backup, which is a very good thing. Never delete at first. What you want to do is: Go to "Saved Games/DCS/Config". Rename "Input" into "Input_old". Unzip the content of "Input2.zip" in this Config folder. Run DCS and check your custom keybinds. If all your custom keybinds are present, you can now delete "Input_old". Yes they are, as long as they are connected when DCS starts. -

Flappie replied to huggy98's topic in Controller & Assignment Bugs - General
You're welcome. I couldn't find any issue in your Input archive. According to your log file, your devices UUIDs are: [Saitek Pro Flight X-56 Rhino Stick {AC13A570-BEED-11ef-8001-444553540000}] [Saitek Pro Flight X-56 Rhino Throttle {C26F37D0-BEED-11ef-8004-444553540000}] And your .diff.lua filenames match, which means your .diff.lua files should be recognized by DCS, and therefore your custom keybinds should be present in the Controls menu. For the sake of it, I removed some obsolete .diff.lua files I found, but I'm pretty sure it won't change anything for you. DCS looks for your .dff.lua files in "c:/users/huggy/saved games/dcs/config/input", so please make sure this is where your custom keybinds are stored. Input2.zip -
Please attach your dcs log file from "Saved Games/DCS/Logs".

Right away, sir.

@huggy98 We'll do this manually, then. Please attach: Your "dcs" log from "Saved Games/DCS/Logs" A zip containing your Saved Games/DCS/Config/Input" folder. I'll rename your files then will send you the resulting Input folder. -
Ensure your helicopter is facing wind when taking off. To my knowledge, DCS does not simulate wear/damage from dust to the engines (well, not yet ). EDIT:

Flappie replied to huggy98's topic in Controller & Assignment Bugs - General
@huggy98 There is a high chance that Windows has changed the UUID of your peripherals, hence breaking the "link" between your DCS .diff.lua files and your gaming devices. @niru27's software should help with that.
