  1. Perfect! Sounds like it'll be on my buy list. I need my computer back so I can play. I'm so jonesing right now lol.
  2. How does this compare to the Maple Flag missions? I have all three of their campaigns which, for the most part, I thought were done extremely well. Is this more sensor in depth? I'm just a little tentative on this one. You've done amazing work so I know this will be well done, just don't know if I'd be buying the same thing again.
  3. I bought a knee board from Flyboys and use that to write stuff down. That way I can write it down right as I get the coordinates. It's what pilots use so I thought it would be a good thing to have.
  4. Yes please some variety. Especially when the IP has a different name in the briefings during each phase of training lol.
  5. Thank you that's what I needed to know. I'm not a fan of the one without CA as every mission has seemed to be a runway start and I don't really care for those too much.
  6. I know that the CA stands for Combined arms, but the question I have is do I need the CA module to run this campaign? I would rather not have a module that I don't want, but if the only way that I can run this campaign correctly is with the CA module then I'll don't have a problem buy this module.
  7. That's fine I just wanted to make sure I hadn't screwed anything up. Thank you.
  8. So I pre ordered NTTR when you get one free red flag campaign. And I bought the F-15C campaign. But when I go to get my serial number for the A-10C campaign it tells me it's not available. Did I do something wrong when I bought the F-15C campaign?
  9. I do apologies for mixing up the event, I assumed they were talking about red flag. However the F-35s at green flag were not combat coded. As of right now there are only six combat coded F-35. I know this because I work at Hill in the unit that has them. There is a big difference between a test and evaluation jet and a combat coded jet. So it does make a difference which jets were used. And as no jet from the 34 FS has been anywhere, those test results aren't conclusive to state any case positive or negative. But according to our pilots who have flown against them, the jets really impressive.
  10. So it just dawned on me, after reading this thread and seeing people use what the F-35 did at a red flag, none of those F-35 are combat coded. They are all test planes. I know this because Hill AFB just got the first combat coded F-35 in Septemebr. And there were only two of them. I work on the base and my profile pic is the day they came in. So it doesn't really matter how they did at red flag up to this point. None of those were combat F-35s. Just food for thought.
  11. It's the same for us we are a TFI unit as well. Although I've only seen the guard with MSgts out on the line. We just have TSgt and below on the line. But the good news is since the active duty unit is getting the 35 first, we get it first. This is going to be the longest four days of my life lol.
  12. I am a crew chief and the DCC on my jet. I am also an ART, so I work as a civilian during the week. Because of that if my jets on the schedule, I'm on her. I can only think of a handful of times in the last year that I haven't launched her out. I know on other bases the DCC program is different, but technically since I'm a civilian, they can't put me on anything but my jet. As that was what I was hired to do.
  13. A quick question, if I don't have CA can I still do this campaign? Every time I do a mission that I'm suppose to support a group to some point, I fail. I kill everything JTACs don't have any targets and when I tell pine or elm to go in via F10 I don't hear a reply. Heck I don't even hear me say anything. Any help would be useful
  14. Yes it is. It's just not moved into one that requires treatment. I would think of addictions, this would be pretty harmless. But it still is an addiction.
  15. Yes video games can be an addiction. The moment it affects your job, relationships, and you cannot quit, then it is an addiction that you need to seek treatment for. Now I would say that video games for an addiction, while can do the same damage as a substance addiction, is often less harmful than other type of addictions.
  16. No worries man. You got a lot on your plate right now. Stay safe.
  17. It actually depends on the aircraft and situation. For example, the F/A-18 will use wheel breaks and pivot on a tire on the flight deck due to the small amount of space if the yellow shirt tells him to. Granted it's not really done on the beach, or a lot on the boat, but still done with enough frequency that I wouldn't say it's not adviised. However, on an A-10, or any Air Force jet for that matter, I haven't seen any pilot do it yet. But the gear on carrier based planes vs land locked planes are much different.
  18. If you're talking about the Maple Flag Missions than you need to go to their website. They have step by step instructions on how to set up their campaigns. I have four of them, 3 for the A-10C and the F-15C campaigns. Its not too in-depth to set up. you just have to rename the file to .exe and away you go. I hope that helps you out. You wont need JSGME.
  19. I find rudder are very important even in basic maneuvering. I use them on every turn, I'm far more accurate in my turns. It took me a bit to get the hang of it. A tip for you, when looking at the ADI that ball under it you want to keep that in the center. Just like a level. it sounds weird but, the way you do it is to push the rudder peddle the ball falls to. So if you make a left turn you use left rudder and you'll keep the ball in the center.
  20. Don't forget NAS Fallon, home of top gun! And NAS Lemoore is home to more than just the RAG squadron. It the entire fleet of F/A-18A-F for the Pac Fleet. Minus Japan of course.
  21. So do we have a time line on when the stick will be available? I know DCS F/A-18C is not out yet, but I'd like to have the stick before hand.
  22. No worries man I have no problem answer questions about my job. So I am assigned to my one plane. She's mine and if she is flying then I'm launching her out and taking care of her. Unless for some reason they need me on something else. Which is pretty rare. If my jet isn't on the she duke, then they plug me in where they need me.
  23. I'm not a pilot, I'm a Crew Chief. I wish I was a pilot. But as to the helmet that you are wondering about, that's the helmet mounted cueing system attachment. Almost all pilots are using that now. Sometime, depending on the mission they'll fly without the HMCS and use a regular visor. And the back seater doesn't use it ever.
  24. Yeah it's a bit sad, but I'll get a brand new 35! Complete with new jet smell!!! Mmmmm new jet smell....
