The 35 HOTAS has so many buttons. And the stick is a bit fat at the top. But the throttle is comfy and I a good location. Best part is there are very few switches in the pit of that thing. Makes engine runs seem just a bit too easy. I always feel like I'm forgetting something.

Don't forget to have the right radio frequency on or you won't get that call from whiplash to trigger. I found that out today.

I'm having the same issue. I waited for the patch to come out for the helo's and now my wingman won't start up. Which isn't a deal breaker by any means, but I would like a mission complete percentage to be 100. All I can get is 75. I'll try what you have suggested to see if I get them to respond. As of right now all they do is sit there with their lights on. I always start with getting the APU running then set my radios and then I ask for startup clearance. Should I tune my radio first and then start up the APU and then ask for clearance? Also had the same issue where ATC won't answer until I move and then grants taxi clearance and then denies it. Also ATC would grant clearance for take off and then immediately cancel it. Also was told to use the alternate landing site on RTB. It was all weird for me.

One question I have is bank angles for the fam flight and ingress to the area. I have been using a 30 degree bank angle and I haven't been getting all the calls. Plus I somehow find myself in the being told to check my position or a container warning.

I play VR only now and I still prefer subtitles, only because I cannot get the info repeated to me if I missed something. If that was an option to get calls repeated then I wouldn't use subtitles ever.

I cannot tell the difference to be honest. He G effects look the same both ways.

I honestly think the G-Warm could be scrapped altogether for all your campaigns. I rarely if ever do it. It was cool the first few times I had to do it, but I'm not actually in the air so I feel it's a bit needless. But to each their own I guess. But I can tell I really need to get my homework done for this Jet after the Fam flight.

So I have a question about this map. It may sound kind of dumb but, can I use any module on the map or will this not support anything but WWII planes? Or will it depend on what module you use as to what tanks and airfields are available?

To be honest with you, I hated the Track IR experience. It was way to uncomfortable for me. VR has been the perfect situation for me. A 1:1 ratio beats anything Track IR can do. And far not immersive to boot.

Okay thank you for the timely response. I can't wait to jump into this campaign. The first mission got me all excited for this campaign. Looks like it's red flag until the fix is in.

Any word on a work around for mission 2's helos not landing for the Special Forces team?

Also to zoom in on a specific spot (i.e. where your cursor is at on the TAD) you'll push China hat forward short. Once for EXP1 and twice for EXP2. Just push it a third time and it will go back to your regular TAD map.

It might just be a cruption in the campaign when I started it. And could be fixed by just restarting it. I haven't finished the campaign yet so I haven't tried fixing it that way. No worries man it's still a ton of fun, and I am having a blast. Plus it's not that hard of a workaround. Have fun on your vacation man.

Yeah I will be the only one in the area making any calls and nothing still. I've tried for 20mins on mission 8 for the mortar location but I don't even get a reply from them.

It creates a frustrating mission for sure, but I've passed all of them with a 70-90 mission completion percentage. So it's been workable for me. I do want to stress that it has just been when I use the in game comms menu for JTAC (F4).

Everyone so far except for mission 16. That has been the only one where I got a complete JTAC reading. Mission five was when it first started happening. I double check mission frequencies just in case. The only thing I could think of is my altitude was too low on the other missions as I was at angels 7-8 on every mission but 16 where I was at angels 17. And on mission 8 I couldn't even get a response from JTAC for the mortar locations.

The only issues I'm having right now is with JTAC. I can get the first nine line read to me but after that when I call to copy remarks nothing. I haven't had the same issue with other missions. Just missions in this campaign. Is this a DCS issue or a campaign issue?

Everyone is different but I don't use zoom ever. I find it to be unrealistic. But to each there own.

I find I get a call of unable for start up if something is taking off. Not sure why that is. And the unable to clear for take off is a know issue. You can ignore both unable calls if you want to. But it does need to get fixed.

Are you using the right radio for the tower. Not the frequency, but the AM radio. There are three and you have to use the AM radio. If you're using MHz that is the middle radio (UHF), and JTAC is usually the aft radio (FM). Although a couple times in the campaign it's been on the AM radio.

Not sure why it didn't respond. I haven't had any issues. It did take a minute but it did respond. JTAC on the other hand is super slow.
