Darn and +1 for the Arnold Pilot model eventually!
-
I think everyone would love to hear any suggestions about what to do for adding JHMCS if that is what you are suggesting in your first sentence.
-
What???? Is this some kind of hidden message against me or a jab against virtual Eagle Drivers? So let me sum this up for those who are against the -15C having JHMCS? You don't want the main western air superiority fighter (and only modern jet in the game that can literally do nothing but kill other planes) to not be as good as strike fighters....why? Okay the Eagle needs a full fidelity module, I agree , but what does it not having as good as a radar have to do with slapping on JHMCS? Is this a "we get everything or we get nothing" approach? Also the whole diverging to the energy argument, missiles win every time almost, in this game and real life. This thing is/will be (for at least a while) the only air superiority fighter of the modern era, I say let it do its job and give it what has in real life. If the Hornet can have JHMCS so can the Eagle.

I am talking about the current one that is happening/ on going involving the Textron Scorpion and others now. We bought around 20 for the Afghan Air Force and we are currently training Afghan pilots in them. They have seen use in real combat I believe in the hands of the Afghans.
-
Yah I know that it is. I was talking about it coming into DCS within the next year.

So with hovering in combat, I am guessing that sadly our version of the Harrier won't be able to hover around and shoot and fire in real, pratical, combat. Using True Lies starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, I will provide evidence for my case that it can in fact with pictures! Sorry for blurriness but as we can see our talented Harrier Pilot is using his AIM-9's to pick up his enemy's, a clever trick that only a talented Marine Pilot would think of! I am sure RAZBAM is working with ED to implement this combat tactic. This tactic can be used to pick up targets for interrogation or as we can see below, to effectively eliminate enemy's. Evidence in the 2 pictures below. We can also use the Harrier for saving shot down pilots on CSAR missions or new DCS humanitarian missions (which can be implemented in the Huey and Mi-8 also). Notice how in the scenes documenting the AV-8B how it can pick up the refugee's all over the aircraft! Finally we can see how we are able to drop off the hostages (hidden on the other side of the wing you know) to local police/military units for their safety. It's important to notice that the AV-8B is carrying a very light payload. With my case proven, I have only one question remaining. Will these abilities be implemented in Beta or only in the full release (specifically shooting enemy's off with the Sidewinder to their demise)? I understand that it would be hard to detail all the hostages hanging off your nose too, but RAZBAM I got faith in you!

1. I agree that the 9x isn't the be all end all of air to air engagements, it just plays a large role in the merge, especially when your fighting for the good sidewinder tone and your just out of reach and the enemy gets you and your dead. You can try to avoid the merge but in a large fight its going to happen, especially with Su & MiG pilots knowing that's where their advantages lye (lay?) in 2. With all respects...what does the Raptor have anything to do with this conversation/debate? The Eagle,Hornets and Vipers all got JHMCS capabilities in the same time period. This is why I say let the Eagle do its job all the way and let it have the capabilities. Completely agree with the problems with the current F-15C radar, model and missiles have. I guess its because its FC3???
-
No thats only in the Chit Chat and Military Aviation Sections... I kid I kid :D

1.I can only speak for myself but they are already adding the JHMCS with the Hornet, its the same JHMCS that the Air Forces and Marine's use mostly. Hawg and some Guard Vipers have much better Scorpion HMCS that has a lot of air to ground capabilities. Different topic and besides we have I believe Suite 3 or 5 A-10C, ether version was not compatible with Scorpion I believe. 2.This is what I don't think is right for reasons I said above, I just don't see any sense on why the Eagle should not have it, its not like the devs said they modeled our F-15C after an exact block/suite and more importantly that it was set in that period (For instance no US F/A-18C's came out when JHMCS was around, but ours is modeled as upgraded with capabilities). Sorry for weird format

Hello all, The F/A-18C Lot 20 is coming out within the next year. Along with it's other new weapons like HARM,HARPOON and JSOW, it will be coming with JHMCS and AIM-9X. the The JHMCS and AIM-9X would mean that the Hornet would completely annihilate the Eagle in the merge most of the time. Since the F-15C does nothing but air to air and is the king of air to air fighting in all of history, I think the F-15C should get JHMCS BECAUSE the F/A-18C is[/i].What do you guys think. Edit 2 - Why does the Hornet have JHMCS and the Eagle doesn't? I just think it would be ridiculous to not have it on an air to air fighter but have it on a strike fighter. DCS is a simulator so let the Eagle have JHMCS if the Hornet does too, unless this is a simulator of the Final Countdown. They would be modeled in the same time period
-
Well its coming in the next year with the F/18C Lot 20 that can fire off JSOW's so were all good in that aspect fortunately :D I am creating a poll on this subject right now
-
In the merge the Eagle is dead, and with the whole no 4th generation Russian thing, its been discussed hundreds of times. ED tried a Flanker and they couldnt do it, maybe an export early Fulcrum eventually, which will still be far inferior. I brought this up because if the Hornet has JHMCS than so should the Eagle. Flankers and Fulcrums will still be great in the air to air world. So sorry I find no irony
-
RAZBAM have 4 other aiecraft that they are working on at the moment or are next in line. The Mudhen will come one day into DCS by someone eventually, but not any time soon.
-
Nice video, still wondering if the US will be smart and get a couple dozen of these, or another Light Attack plane
-
Yah that is possible, so maybe years from now we could have an air superiority fighter able to fight as well in air to air. I am suggesting just slapping the JHMCS (that are/did) make for the Hornet onto the F15C at or near the release of the Hornet for balance Edit: Also why are we talking about the Eurofighter, thats years away and comparing a fighter that entered service in 1975 and what 2004? Geesh might as well compare the Raptor cause the F22 will be in the game eventually.
-
So do you all lthink the Eagle should get JHMCS because the Hornet does?
-
I was not sure If I should make a new thread for this or not so here I go... With the F-18C equipped with JHMCS and AIM9X and AIM120C coming out most likrly this year or very shortly after, it looks like the Eagle will soon be obsolete in real DCS gameplay. With no JHMCS, the 15C only advantage will be longer range, and the F15 will slowly disappear from the competitive tiers by most users. This is unacceptable to me and I think the JHMCS and AIM9X needs to be integrated into the Eagle when the Hornet comes out. The F18 will already have so many different missions that it is good at, but the F15C only has one use, killing everything that flies. I know this has been discussed multiple times, but a lot of those threads were way before we knew about the F18 having JHMCS and AIM9X. If ED gives/allows the F-15C to have JHMCS it will be the top fighter for NATO in the game that it is (pre Raptor). It will also drive up sales for the F15C for people who are new to sims and want an air superiority fighter or just want an easy to learn plane that has one job. This is just my opinion, should I make a new thread?

Thanks for the advice, ill change my stick back to 0 deadzone, hopefully thatll fix it. Is the canopy supposed to be tinted/shaded so dark? It makss it hard to spot the dots.
-
Awesome thanks. If I may say so from my own quick observations of flying it, I had immense trouble keeping it stable unless on autopilot, it really wanted to go everywhere. I "ouldnt land the thing without dying. This is just my observations though. However I put the deadzones for everything in 20. Is this why?

Found it. I had just DCS folder under, Program Files(x86), my bad. Sorry for the failure on my fault  Just did a test flight 30 seconds ago, awesome! Supercruising at 62, 000 feet. Wow. Going to go try it in combat. AWACS hunting oh boy
-
Already have it. Just flying the MiG-29 Im fully updated I 1.56. This is weird. For the whole World thing already I have and use Combined Arms if this means anything
-
I understand that. I dont have a folder called DCS WORLD, I just have DCS. In the DCS folder I dont have a MODS folder etheir. Thats why I asked what I should do
-
Im sorry if this is not the thread for this...but I dont know how to download tnis into DCS. I dont have a DCS World like it says on the instructions, I just have DCS. Do I need to get JSGME, I heard it was outdated. On the download instructions it sounds so simple. Any help would be appreciated

19.99 USD each for KA-50 and A-10C is a pretty awesome deal
-
Okay maybe the MiG-23 was classified in the 90's... Yah were a little past those days. Anyway great update and keep up the good work. I think I am going to download this tonight.
