  1. AIM-7 1977? Did it's service not count from when it entered service in the early 60's? Anyway our AIM-7M we have in game entered service in 82-83 I believe.
  2. Once implemented, I assume it is possible, kind of. Though really I think it would be a lot better for the MiG-15 and I believe the MiG-21(?)
  3. So you think that the F-5's current weapons or not good enough to take on the MiG-21? I disagree heavily, especially since it's far easier to argue that the F-5, even with less weapons, still has an advantage over the MiG-21 due to superior weapon systems. How this relates to the F-15 conservation makes no sense to me either...
  4. I would want a MiG-23, think it would fit in very nicely with our current aircraft and AI aircraft of DCS
  5. Would you guys want a 70's or 80's MiG-23 (Early or Late)?
  6. Okay thanks for trying. Ik it doesnt mean anything but I really like the look of the F35 now
  7. Do you have any source, I am interested in learning more but I can't find anything. Thanks
  8. Okay thanks I am looking into one day getting an L39/L29 (hopefully) and was simply curious. I hope to somehow get my hands on a static display of a MiG-21/23 and restore it too good (non-flying) condition. I've searched and read a lot on this topic of owning these jets, but sadly can't find that much material that goes into great details. Be interesting to get my hand on an F-5 in none flying condition. Thanks!
  9. For those against the JHMCS in the Eagle what do you recomend for the merge against the Hornet with AIM-9X?
  10. Ive been watching warbirds pricing/listing for a few years now, never have I see a g series 109. Exciting to know that one is still on the market
  11. Does anyone know what (or where I could find) information on the operating the F5 as a private citizen. Im just wondering about monetary costs for stiff like fuel, oil, tires, insurwnce, engine rehauls etc. Would these aircraft have a high re sell value considering the very large cost you are investing into these. Any information would be highly appreciated
  12. Thanks Crash O
  13. A few of them are probably in service as aggresors at our secret areas, like a few flankers are
  14. Every weekend I spend an hour putting around in the 172
  15. +1 for the Hawg, after that its up to you
  16. A few minutes later... Edit - If someone can tell me how to get the images to show up it would be epic, just saying
  17. Nows your/my chance or anyones chance really
  18. My apologies for butting in, I stand corrected
  19. Though the Navy used Phantonms without guns and their kill ratio improved drastically when Top Gun was established for learning how to implement missles properly. This was in an era of missles in what we would consider horrid due to poor seekers. So yes the Sea Harrier beat the F15 a few times, but so has the F5/4/16. Is it possible yes, is it better no! F16s have taken out Raptor doesnt mean its better. The Harrier will do decent in air to air combat, but with no radar dont expect much. Its a fast and maneuverable CAS aircraft but its still a CAS aircraft
  20. No if I wanted what you say I want their to be in the first paragraph, I would want the Golden Eagle. We have a F-15C modeled around Eagles from the Late 90's and Early 2000 era. JHMCS was coming out in the Early 2000's, so I see it fitting to have it for that reason. This isn't a massive version difference and comparing my proposed upgrade to the difference between the SU-27 we have and the SU-35 is well over the top. My plan is not an ultra upgraded version just a slight modification to allow the helmet sight. As for your last paragraph, 1972 (though the BIS didn't come out in the 1960's like you suggest) vs 2000's MiG-21, come on that has nothing to do with the Eagle and is such an overreach. A few years is a lot different from a few decades. No JHMCS JHMCS MiG-21Bis Upgraded MiG-21 I can do the same thing with your SU-27/SU-35 and MiG-29/MiG-35 Argument. Those planes specifically wont be implemented for decades to classified information either, unlock a basic FC3 Eagle with JHMCS slapped on.
  21. http://www.defensenews.com/articles/air-force-chief-undecided-about-f-15-eagle-retirement New news about what is going on the Air Force. Nothing much really being said here but it still an interesting read for everyone I thought
  22. So just because I want an equal generation/time period Air Superiority Fighter to be able to compete with Strike Fighters, something that it has in real life, you have to try throwing off the argument with a mocking joke because?
  23. What does JHMCS have to do with the supposed Golden Eagle upgrade? Your opinion is your right but just because its a FC3 plane does that mean it can't have any systems detailing, especially for the very basic F-15C we have? Early 2000's Eagle's was where JHMCS came in, just like early 2000 Hornet's is where JHMCS came in.
  24. True True, you need to carry someone around at least 100lb and 5ft to avoid the possibility of FOD. Fortunately they can ride on the wings or Arnolds Lap
  25. I agree its radar needs to be tweeked, and just because its FC3 doesnt mean its not important! It is the same JHMCS so thats why I dont see it is a problem, I think its just a quick fix to add it on
