  1. You're not forced to follow the ATC's instructions, not with the current iteration at least. What I do most of the time is fly straight to the airport and enter the pattern.
  2. Please keep the EN users in the loop as well. That's all we ask.
  3. It was stated multiple times, I won't repeat it yet again for the sake of the thread's readability.
  4. You keep ignoring the real issue at hand.
  5. The real disappointing thing is not the delay, we all understand that. The problem here is that the RU users are getting clear-cut answers, whilst EN users are not.
  6. Here is another human translation:
  7. Good point, I'll ask for a proper one.
  8. Well as far as I've seen most of the work for Normandy has been done by modelers and map creators, two things that have probably little to do with the more engine related tasks they're facing for 2.5. Since you're here, why was it that the Russians forums were given clear cut answers, while the English userbase was left trailing behind more vague statements? No negativity meant, just a honest question.
  9. My guess is they'll add Normandy as an additional map module to the Alpha branch (what is now 2.0). It makes the most sense, that may even give them some time to test the whole "map as modules" framework without putting their main Caucasus content on the line.
  10. Personally I'm not surprised at all about the Hornet, 2016 did seem way too far fetched of a timeframe. Same for the carriers. It's the 2.5 delay the main bullet point I think. Again, we'll have to wait for clarification or similar.
  11. I think the feeling comes not from the delay itself, but from the fact that only a portion of the userbase was directly spoken to, whilethe others were given much more vague statements. Then again, those posts are from this morning, ED might still be preparing a public statement for the English portion of their customers.
  12. Unless Chizh is going for the long ruse, I'm afraid not.
  13. Sorry guys but I'm afraid the hype train has derailed. From the RU side of the forums, Chizh answers some questions about future releases. All credits for the initial heads up to IkeaStoolSample. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2937019&postcount=2049 https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2937016&postcount=2047 https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2937014&postcount=2046

Also, all credits to IkeaStoolSample for the original heads-up and translation.
  15. I also use the needle to set up my attack run.
  16. Again, the same answer can be found after a 30 seconds search either on Google or on the forums.
  17. Correct. Keep in mind the RWR detects ground based emissions as well.
  18. Google "dcs install mission" and literally the first result is a thread with a bunch of instructions. Unfortunately DCS and simming in general requires quite a lot of personal searching for things. Besides, most of the time missions have a relative forum thread, so you can ask there if you're having problems.
  19. It tends to go off with ATGMs as well.
  20. Well, all missions are installed the same way, so I see no need to include instructions for every single one. You can drop them wherever you want in your filesystem. The best place is DCS's Documents folder, where all the settings are stored.
  21. I'd expect the M-2000C before we see the F-18 or 2.5.
  22. Awesome, thanks!
  23. Eagerly awaiting the release!
  24. The Tornado ADV was turned into an excellent interceptor. Keep in mind interceptor and dogfighter are two different things.
