  1. And underperforming at low altitude by roughly 20%.

  9. Column 3 is correct, 4 is (weapon-)launch speed, 5 launch height, 6 launch distance. Annotation 1 basically says to take target altitude difference to airport into account, due to QFE being used. I cannot do any good translation of that. Annotation 3: When ending the dive, use at least 4g.
  10. Has anyone reading that document figured out, why the very same missile has different range, or at least launch zone, when fired from different MiG-21 variants? I can not think of any reason for that.
  11. Did anyone do a stream of the event? Would like to see how it is going and may give it a try next time.
  12. Dropping the central fuel tank is so important, that they have put the button for it on the stick. It is the pinky button, but you will have to map it or use the standard key, as it is not reachable by mouseclick.
  13. No, the MiG-21 can not dump fuel. But the afterburner does the job pretty well.
  14. Okay that may already be it, thank you. In case of the MiG-21, the folder names and displayed names are actually different.
  15. Could you maybe have a look into the livery override for the MiG-21? For some reason it is the only aircraft which ignores this setting and will always have the Serbian as default. And yes I do have tried various liveries and made sure the naming was correct.
  16. I will get the same problem when entering a two digit bort number and switching to a two number system livery, like the DPRK one. Switching to anything other after that will show a broken number, even if entering 3 digits. However switching between aircrafts while keeping the 3 digit number, solves the problem for me.

    2018 roadmap

My guess for the second one would be MAC.
  18. Per the books maximum speed procedure is about this: -Take off with afterburner -Climb to 10.000 m without afterburner -Stay at 10.000 m and 530 km/h IAS until 130 km away from the airport -Turn towards the airport -Accelerate to 1200 km/h IAS with afterburner by decending about 1000 m -Climb to 11.500 m at 1200 km/h IAS -Level off and accelerate until hitting Mach 2.05 or 700 l fuel left -Head back home I was actually able to achieve Mach 2.25 in clean configuration this way, then the engine cut out, probably simulating engine failure due to overspeed.
  19. Maybe those armchair pilots would make better MiG-21 pilots then
  20. Hello together, for the purpose of building missions in a way of most possible realism, I would like to collect some data on features and loadouts, that are included in DCS modules, but should not be there as they do not belong on the aircraft type. I know that on some aircrafts there are settings to deactivate certain unrealistic features, but as I do not own all modules, I am not 100 % sure of what they are. Same goes for loadouts. If we can collect those in one thread, this may also help others in the same position as I am. I will make a start with one of the modules I do own and know pretty well: MiG-21bis Features: -Unrealistic IR Pipper (I am currently unsure though, how to deactivate it through the mission editor) Loadouts: -Kh-66 -Gun Pods -RS-2US -Combination of S-24 and S-5 Rokets -Several other mixed loadouts Furthermore I have read something about the Mirage 2000C not having the missile launch warning build in. This can be turned of via the mission editor.
  21. Now thats nice to hear!
  22. Sorry, but it is not just a few bugs. And and countless other threads have already proven that. If your ambition is to have an aircraft you can use like the real deal, this one might just not be it. Not meaning it is no fun to fly, as it is, but if you want to improve your flying, at some point you will face more and more things which just do not work how described or do not work at all. Unfortunately there just is no other module near the class of aircraft the MiG-21 is, at least up until the MiG-23 comes. And the fact that a MiG-21 has already been made, gives me little hope that there will ever be another 3rd party developer or even ED coming up with another MiG-21 which is kept in a reasonable status.
  23. Kannst du mir bitte einmal sachlich erklären warum die A-10C kein Strahlflugzeug ist?
  24. What I wrote before was about autopilot modes, not stall behaviour. Stall behaviour is questionable as you have a fix 2G turn rate if you are in a stall condition. Some more info on the CCIP: The MiG-21bis does have a CCIP mode for rockets, which can also be assisted by the radar. However this mode does not exist for bombs, but is included in the module. You can switch the ASP to manual mode and turn of the CCIP. Manual mode is what the real life manual tells you to use. However we are missing the needed charts for angular correction. I would expect the bomb CCIP mode to be at least an option only, which the server can forbid to keep it realistic, just like the arcade IR pipper.
  25. It is not about the recovery mode, but the stabilization which does not work. Although the recovery is not correct either, as it loses significant altitude.
