  1. Hi, no he shouldn’t fly away. It worked fine up till now. There is a DCS bug at the moment which is impacting how the AI are behaving. Are you using any mods at all. Also are you using voice attack? All DLC campaigns should be flown without any mods as they are impacting many campaigns. Have you tried more than once? Do you have a Tacview file of it? EDIT: One possibility that has come to mind is did you fly at speeds so your wing could comfortably keep up as set out in the brief. If you make him chase too much he will be in burner a lot of the time and can run out of fuel. It would explain why he did not land. Not saying this happened just a possibility I have seen before. That’s why Tacview file is useful. I will try it this end and let you know how I get on. Cheers Badger634
  2. Thanks, yes track files are not great but will check it out. Tacview files are much better for later analysis, and much smaller.
  3. Hi Thanks for the kind words. Which mission did 420 run for the hills? Unfortunately the collision is an AI issue and outside my control. Normally he should just stay in formation with you. To be honest the AI should never hit you and so is a bug. Does it happen all the time? If so it is worth reporting on the DCS forum so they can address it. In recent updates there have been quite a lot of issues where the scripted AI is acting unpredictably which has hit a lot of campaign creators. Hope you enjoy part 2. Badger633
  4. The free mini campaign has now had a major update which is now fully voiced by actors. There are two versions, a 6 mission version which is in Nevada and the Black Sea and a reduced 5 mission version which is in the Black Sea only. This campaign introduces 'Ford' and is a prelude to his further exploits in the Serpent's Head 2, Rise of the Persian Lion, and Rise of the Persian Lion 2 Campaigns. There is a continuous plot line throughout all the Campaigns. Their difficulty increases gradually through the campaigns and so the free 'Serpents Head Campaign' is ideal as a starting point. By the end pilots will have had to be familiar with and use all the systems and weapons of the F/A-18C Hornet. Later Campaigns have easy air to air refuel options for those who have yet to master the black art of catching the basket.   5. Hi Thanks for the kind words. Will take a look why you had that additional 'cleared hot on Snake'. Not sure what happened there? Where were you exactly when you got the message? Incidentally have just issued a major update of the free Serpent's Head Campaign, now fully voiced by actors.   7. Hi finnish3r Thanks for the Tacview files, very useful. Just flew the mission and the wing 420 behaved correctly. Don't know if you could do this but it would be interesting if you flew the mission without any mods or voice attack active to see if this fixes the problem. It could be a timing issue that with mods added a scripted flag is being missed, its not clear at the moment. But this end it runs normally. Thanks Badger633

  11. Hi Wiggo The last campaign in the series of four, which has not long been released, is 'Rise of the Persian Lion II'. This the follow on from the 'Rise of the Persian lion'. This continues the story with additional characters and also increases complexity of the missions so you are more involved with the radios etc. Will be doing more but each one takes about a year to make and each has to be maintained on a regular basis as ED updates are released.   12. Hi, not sure if you could easily do this but it would be interesting if you could fly the mission without the mods. Did have one fellow pilot who had similar issue on another mission. It worked when he flew without the mods. I will fly myself and see how it goes and let you know. Thanks.

  14. Well done, hope you enjoyed the campaign. Yes there is some weird stuff going on with EDs AI at the moment, mods can impact and one pilot found voice attack was a problem. Hopefully ED will get it sorted.
  15. Hi, thanks for the heads up. I will take a look. The AI recently have become very temperamental since last update. It has happened before and that why I introduced a safety system to allow the mission to progress even if he decides not to fire his JSOWS. Glad your enjoying the campaign. Badger634
  16. Unfortunately you will until the fix is issued in next update. Hopefully ED will issue soon. It’s frustrating from our end as mission had worked perfectly until recent update.
  17. Yes kill one tiger at a time otherwise the triggers will overlap. Will check out the other things. Most important are you running any mods or say voice attack? These can have an impact on the AI currently. EDIT: Just flew the mission. Sting did attack ground targets as scripted. As requested do you have an mods running even things like voice attack as these can impact AI at the moment.

  19. Hi, if you can try it without SRS. Some of these mods seem to effect the scripting. There was an instance where voice attack was doing this even though the pilot was not actually using it in the mission it was just loaded. Suggest you get Tacview it is free and is great for analysing your flight and help you see what went wrong and what went right. Will certainly help your flying. Badger633
  20. Hi, glad you have got A2A refuel down. That’s the purpose of the campaign is to bring pilots on bit by bit. Yes easy refuel gives a fixed fuel load but you still have to get in the right position and at the right speed to progress the mission. Not perfect but does allow pilots who cannot yet carry out A2A refuel still to take part in long missions increasing their experience. Also when they can, they can replay the campaign in normal mode. If you like, try my next campaign in the series, ‘Rise of the Persian Lion’ which as the last, will task you but in a progressive way. It also continues Fords exploits in the Persian Gulf.   21. Hi Have you got a Tacview of your flight so I can check out what happened exactly. Don’t understand how you didn’t get a message as all the fails come with an explanation , are you sure you didn’t miss it? Also noted you said you were going to hold at WP2 but there you are directed by Strike to commence CAP as fragged. This in the brief puts you over the city. It could be if you have incorrectly orbited over WP2 you may have drifted to far from coast such that you have strayed into a fail zone. Do you think this could be the case?

  23. @KENNY1988 Should be out soon. Trouble is the update also covers core Sim updates so it depends where ED is with these before they decide when a full update is issued, so we never know when. Saw you covered mission 1 and 2. I put them on my u tube playlist as I have done with my other campaigns you have covered. I like how accurately you fly. Cheers
