  1. Hi Yes that’s something I could add. You can always escape to the brief at any time during the mission, but suppose you might feel that breaks immersion. Will look into it. EDIT: 22 Jan 23: Now incorporated will be in next update.
  2. I will fix this by adjusting the zones plus add a mission note to avoid this one. Will be in next update.
  3. Thanks for the heads up. Just checked it and fixed the issue. It will be out in the next update. To answer your question, if you had exited when you got the message before landing you would have passed the mission and moved on. Badger633
  4. Hi It’s not you, your not the first to have this issue. It appears the ED updates have impacted the AI wingman. I am looking into it to get it fixed. I will let you know when I have done it. Badger633
  5. Good point, I will adjust the zones so that is less likely.
  6. Let me know if you have a problem. You should get the diversion call from strike before wp2. Make sure your on track.
  7. Hi You shouldn't be getting to WP2. Prior to this you should be getting a radio call from strike asking you to divert. Others are not having this issue so far. Just thinking, Did you change your radio to Strike when told to ?
  8. Could you send through a pic of them please. The correct ones will have the pilots names of Chef and Grinder below the canopy on the side like those of Ford and Matrix. Thanks
  9. Thanks for the Files. Have now checked it out. There is a problem with mission 1 and the wingman, now fixed and will be out in next update. Strange one mission 2 as way point track line does not coordinate with actual position on map in game. Will check with DCS can be fixed though and will also be out next update. Thanks for the heads up.
  10. Thanks I will look into it. There is definitely some issues with the AI following scripts since certain updates. Tacview is great to be honest tracks don’t work that well. I will let you know what I find and when it’s fixed. Badger633
  11. You did well, the campaign will test all your skills, imagine if your life depended on it.
  12. Thanks for your and your better half’s help on this one. Much appreciated
  13. If of interest it is now available from the DCS E Shop. As staccato shafts of burning light flashed by the canopy, Lieutenant Scott Rivers, call sign ‘Ford’, squeezed the release button. He felt the expected “kick in the pants” as the Hornet surged when a ton of self-guiding ordinance dropped away intent on finding its mark. Below, seconds later, there was a massive shock wave as the area where the I.R.G.C. meeting was being held, exploded into ‘Hell on earth’ lighting up the entire City. As the two Hornets disappeared into the dark Bandar Abbas night, chased by the flailing neon arms of the triple A they both new they had just changed the face of the conflict. For once things were going their way. With the Iranian IRGC command including ‘Asad’ now gone and the USS Truman relief fleet just a day away, ‘Matrix’ could taste that well deserved R&R. What could possibly go wrong? This campaign follows on from Ford and Matrix’s exploits in the Straits of Hormuz on board the USS Abraham Lincoln in the “Rise of the Persian Lion Campaign.” The campaign ethos, as before, is not to capture full reality but create an imaginative, immersive, and engaging set of missions linked together with a developing narrative. Even though the story line continues from the last campaign, “Rise of the Persian Lion II” can be fully enjoyed as a standalone. Key Features · 13 Detailed missions linked by an ongoing story line. (Mission 9 in two parts). · ‘Ford’ and his wing ‘Matrix’ are now joined with a second flight of Hornets, led by Lieutenant James Cook, ‘Chef’ and his number two Lieutenant Steve Miller, ‘Grinder’. · As before the campaign has been developed in VR so there will be no requirement to physically write down disappearing coordinates and break immersion. · Over one and a half thousand voice overs performed by voice actors. · Detailed briefs for each of the missions including PDF versions. · Kneeboards for each mission plus PDF versions. · Personalised aircraft skins. · Alternate optional campaign version included with ‘Easy Air to Air Refuel’ for those who have yet to master the art of catching the basket. 14. That’s a real possibility. Will have a look at it. Have you got a Tacview of the 2nd mission. Thanks
  15. That will do it . Let me know if your still having a problem. Glad you are enjoying the campaigns, ROPL 2 is out soon.
  16. Not sure what you mean changed at some point. The precise coordinates in the mission are given in decimal seconds and this is intentional. You have always had to switch the format on the HSI when using these. That's why it is covered in the brief.
  17. Will check out the Phantoms. Obviously, all campaigns are bug free when first issued and get broken from time to time with ED updates, especially when related to AI. It's a cross campaign creators have to bear as we constantly have to fix missions. Recent updates have impacted how AI aircraft engage or not. If you have a Tacview file that is very useful when trying to fix things. The helos independently move around the boat. Sometimes they are close enough to take out with one missile and other times not. Thanks for the heads up. EDIT : 7 Dec 22 Have now fixed the mission and issued to ED. Will be in a future update.
  18. Hi Dragon 1-1 Thanks for your comment. Totally understand and am aware of real operations on a carrier, in fact the recording used is from live carrier operations. The trouble is true zip lip operations would make pretty boring missions. A lot of pilots actually like the background radio used in the area of the carrier. I do appreciate and respect your viewpoint though. Unfortunately, currently there is no simple way of deactivating this. May look to do this in the future and or remove them altogether if I get enough requests. I have just completed my latest campaign which is 'Rise of the Persian Lion 2' and you will be pleased to know there is no background radio used in that one. It's with ED at the moment and will be released in the future. Badger633
  19. Hi Glad your enjoying it. That’s what it’s all about. Just finished Rise of the Persian Lion 2. Badger633
  20. No problem. Always happy to hear if a mission has broke so I can fix.
  21. Hi The campaign scripting cannot change the operational controls of the radio this can only be done your end. As standard in DCS: the radio menu on the ground is called up using \ the radio in the air for radio box 1 is RAlt + \ the radio in the air for radio box 2 is RCtrl + \ Just checked, these are working in mission. Is this what you are using. You must use the correct activation keys or you won’t get a response. Should ask at this point are you running any mods as they can break missions. All DLC campaigns are based on no mods. Regarding following the way points you are correct but the note also says to follow any instructions so you are right to divert. This will happen from time to time if events change the prior flight plan. You will fail the mission if you have not been able to carry out the mission requirement’s. (Due to the radio issues you have). The campaign was written before DCS introduced their own mission bypass facility. This campaign introduced a mission bypass facility prior to the DCS version as requested by pilots. This as described means making a selection to opt for this within the first five minutes of the mission. If you did this then you will get a success even if you failed the mission. Is this what happened. If not if you could explain exactly what messages you get when that would be helpful for me to track down why that should happen. What do you mean by lighting issues? I know ED has introduced a Halloween theme so things glow green. Is that it. Yes it’s quite possible 2.8 has introduced bugs. If you could tell me what and when I can check them out. Hope this helps. Badger633
  22. Make sure you have realistic radio selected in your settings. There are three keys for selecting the radio menu. One when you are on the ground, one when airborne using radio 1 and one when airborne and using radio 2. You have to use the right ones. Are you aware of this?
  23. Thanks for that. Can see the problem. After you have taken out the two helos you need to fly back to the rigs and actually pass within the area described but the outer rigs. The reason things did not progress is you stayed well outside the area of the rigs. Not saying you did anything wrong or illogical, but that is the reason. If you try it again and then fly over the rigs the mission will move on. Having seen that I will change the trigger area to a different form so this cannot happen and update. So, this time nothing to do with the 2.8 update. Let me know how you get on next time, after following the above. Hope this helps Badger633
  24. Thanks for the heads up. No you shouldn’t be waiting half an hour. Yes major update can break a lot of missions will look into it. If you have a Tacview that would be really useful.
  25. Hi, just an update, have fixed the issues and issued to ED so hopefully will be in next update. EDIT: update now released in open beta. Badger633
