  1. Hi Yes Tacview would be great. I will also fly through myself. See how it goes as you say maybe 1 or 2 hours earlier. However must admit the masochist in me did like the difficult light conditions it created on landing. Will let you know how I get on. Incidentally have made quite a few updates which have been issued and will be in next update but have been held up waiting on EDs next update. EDIT: 19 Jan 23 20:13 / Checked it out . Your right. Have now changed start time to 16:10 two hours earlier. Issued to ED already so hopefully in next update. Thanks Badger633
  2. Hi Kenny Nice to hear from you, hope your keeping well. The operation of the carrier on returns is not within the control of the mission editor so is decided by the DCS Sim. I suppose the issue is as you return night is starting to fall. If I remember I normally get quite a dark case 1 on approach. What is the issue is it that other aircraft are case 3 and you are are 1. Or was it you did a case 1 approach but didn’t get a Charlie signal? Badger633
  3. Hi, your instructions from Strike is to get in there get your images and get out of there. Your ROE is not to engage the Migs unless fired on. You should have plenty of time to get in there and get out without engaging the Migs. Try next time doing just that. You have to be within 20 miles of the harbour to take the photo. All should be fine then. Set the harbour as target so you get distance read out. Not at my rig at the moment but will check your Tacview out then. Thanks hope this helps. Badger633

  6. As it says in the brief you have to follow instructions. IRL you have to follow Air Traffic Control instructions when they say “Right turn for backtrack”. If you don’t it’s a serious breach. Remember the old pilot proverb, “There’s nothing more useless than runway behind you”.
  7. I assume your using your radar to the max. Have you seen this great video? Also this is excellent I normally get them locked up early use the exp to ensure your targeting the two on the right. Get your 120,s off, you should get at least one, and then get defensive straight away go to your 9xs use your head mounted display and you should be able to get an advantage as you can virtually shoot at 90 degrees. Use your SA page to help locate the bandits if you lose visual. The key is to get them quickly. Can be done. Hope this helps.

  9. Hi Which of the bandits are you taking out first? If I remember the instruction is for you to take out the ones on the right and your wing will take the ones on the left? Are you doing that? If you take out his targets he will not help with yours. (Reason is if that was not the case all you would have to do is sit back and let him take out all four bandits). If your still having problems let me know and send a Tacview file of your flight if possible. Hope this helps. Badger633
  10. Hi, are you running any mods? Have you got a Tacview of the file? I will check it out? EDIT: 15 Jan 23: Just flew mission using normal version of the campaign in open beta. Wing took off as scripted sorry cannot recreate this end. Check out if you have any mods?
  11. Hi, ok will check this out, are you running any mods? Also what speed were you going were you on full burner, if you have a Tacview of the flight that would be really useful. EDIT: 15 Jan 23, just flew the mission in normal version of the campaign in the current Open Beta, wingman stayed as planned could not recreate this end. Make sure you are not using mods even voice attack can cause issues.
  12. Hi, sorry, do not know when ED will release the update, only they know. I sent the fix quite a while ago and it will definitely be in the next update. If you ever get issues, check out this forum as the updates can break campaigns that were previously working fine quite often, Badger633

  14. Yes ACLS is set up on the ABE in this mission so not sure what has happened. (not on the Truman though) easy to land on the wrong one. If you use technique as shown will hit with Mav F every time. Yes of course the carrier in mission 13 has not been fed for months
  15. Hi Also check you changed radio when instructed to Strike after you left the carrier. If this does not help could you send me. Tacview file of your flight so a can check what has happened. Badger633

  19. Hi Thanks for your thoughts. Yes the SAM attack directly after killing Snake was scripted to surprise and increase tension just after you think your done. SH2 was scripted a long time ago. During this time believe it or not the SAMs at the air base have been too aggressive then not fire at all and now as you say a little slow. It all relates to changes of AI behaviour that occur from time to time with EDs updates. Have had to change them a number of times over the years.   21. Thanks will look into it. EDIT: Have to tried again but this time heading to the bandits? EDIT: Just flew the mission, if you head towards the bandits all things work out. I think the fact you flew quite a distance away from them the AI, which these days is a bit more advanced, they lost interest and also went back and think lost the attack command. So just head towards them using the bulls given next time as instructed by Strike. Hope this helps.
  22. Hi About 2 nautical miles from way point 1 towards way point 2 you will receive a message from Strike giving you the coordinates of 'Moon Beam'. You will have to search along the road to find the next junction. You start at 20 K to deliver the SEAD but to carry out your task you are going to have to go below the cloud level if you want to use your laser for delivery. You will also spot Moon Beam and the junction a lot easier from the gun fire. Yeah there is a mismatch in the kneeboards, in development added the fuel tank to help with fuel issues and missed updating the kneeboard etc. Have updated it now and it will be in next update.
