Hi Thanks for the kind words. That’s definitely not right 420 needs to stay with you otherwise you will not be able to progress the mission. I will look into what is happening. How quickly are you getting to way point 2. Are you using burner all the way? Your probably not, but just checking as one reason he would turn back is if he is short of fuel. The wingman can get quite low if he is having to use burner to catch up with you. Other than this it could be an AI issue. There has been a lot of updates that have impacted some of their actions. If you have Tacview a copy of the Tacview of the flight would be useful. The DCS tracks are not always accurate. I will update this with anything I find. EDIT: Have flown it this end. 420 did not leave at WP 2 but did leave me a lot later in the mission. I believe it is related to fuel and have made a number of changes which I will test. Will then be updated for next DCS update. Hope this helps. Cheers Badger633

Now fixed.

Glad it all worked out. I checked this end and he did go to Khasab as planned. As I say in the brief you need to be aware of your wingman and fly at speeds with him in mind. It can be surprising how quickly you can run your wingman’s fuel down if he is using a lot of afterburner to catch up with you.

HI Unfortunately tracks do not work in DCS especially for a longer mission. Have you got a Tacview of the mission. Tacview files are much more reliable. (Tried to use the Track file but it broke quite quickly) Did you spend a long time trying to kill the bandits. Just checking he didn’t run low on fuel so couldn’t make it to Khasab. AI does this sometimes. Does this happen every time? Any information as to the engagement will be useful. I will have a look to see what the issue is. Thanks for the heads up.

Mission 3 SuperCarrier (Easy) Issue - No Carrier Crew
Badger633 replied to LovecraftinDC's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hi Thanks for the heads up. ED changed the way the new Stennis model was being introduced last minute so had a very short time to re-update all my campaign missions. Missed this variation of mission 3 sorry. Will correct it for next update. Cheers.- 1 reply

Mission 3 Broken (Latest OB Update)
Badger633 replied to Arakahn's topic in F/A-18C The Serpent's Head 2 Campaign
Hi Yes, just checked it out. It only occurs on this mission and in the easy version and only the none supercarrier version. All the other versions are fine. ED changed the way the new Stennis model was going to be issued quite late on so only had a short time to update all my missions and the four variations of each. This one unfortunately slipped through sorry. Have corrected it now and will be in next DCS update. -

Mission 13 - no response from ABE on return
Badger633 replied to Razor18's topic in F/A-18C Rise of the Persian Lion Campaign
Hi Just checked out all Mission 13 versions. The ABE is set to 127.5 and Ford 110 aircraft Pri ( COMM1) channel 4 is also set to 127.5. Also checked base mission and worked ok for me. How far were you away from the ABE? -
Hi I am updating them ready for next DCS update. Trouble is I don’t know when that is as it’s up to ED. Sorry can’t be more precise.

Mission 14 - Two parked on the stern S3's are fouling the deck
Badger633 replied to Kisi's topic in Bugs and Problems
Thanks, will take a look and get it resolved for next update. ‘Rise of the Persian Lion Two’ is on it’s way. Glad your enjoying the campaign. EDIT Now fixed -
Hi Guican Yes this has been raised by others. So today have been updating the mission with a safety mechanism if the DCS AI fails to do it's job. This then won't break the mission. There has been a lot of recent DCS AI updates that can cause new problems in previous working campaign missions. Suppose the mission makers golden rule is ' never rely on AI to do something critical in a mission'. Will be in next DCS update.

Mission 8 - guns drift bug or intended?

Hi Cpt. Weber Yes this has been raised recently. So today have been updating the mission with a safety mechanism if the DCS AI fails to do it's job. This then won't break the mission. There has been a lot of recent DCS AI updates that can cause new problems in previous working campaign mission. This will be issued in next DCS update. The truth is the mission makers golden rule is 'never rely on AI to do something critical in the mission' . Glad your enjoying. -
OK will check it out and get it sorted for next DCS update. Badger633

OK will look into it. Which mission type are you playing. Normal or EZ refuel or Harder. Probably due to to DCS updates. Does it happen every time? You can check by letting the mission run but don’t start your aircraft. You can then speed up time and see if they kill the SAMs. Thanks for the heads up. Badger633

Absolutely! Was waiting for the boat specific codes but will include in the next update anyway. Unfortunately too late for the imminent one. Cheers Badger633
