  1. I kinda expected new trains for Nevada as they currently look not that impressive while Normandy received some great looking trains but that will do the job I guess! I'm wondering how long they will be while not making a huge impact on performance?
  2. I will update the original skin file on the User Files to integrate the weathered skin. The updated skins can be downloaded here now: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/2819237/
  3. I decieded to change the look of the engines for the weathered and normal version as the engines were to light and metallic. I also added a bit more weathering to the second version. Worn out text, paint, stars and a lot more dirty areas on the whole airframe.
  4. DCS World\Bazar\Textures I think if you're looking for a specific MiG-29 pilot texture you won't find them anywhere neither in their own files. However there is a pilot texture in the Su-27 ZIP file and I think they are compatible with the 29. EDIT: There are also a lot more texture files for the MiG-29 in there, though without a appropriate template.
  5. So these are the first attempts. I tried to stick a bit to the screens from mirmidon except the last two because the aircraft looks more wet than used. However I think these are some good first results and maybe it could need a little more? By now I also added the small white board number up on the tail which was stupidly missing..

  8. ED showed images of carrier decks filled with crews in the January Newsletter from 2016. Though it was only the russian aircraft carrier with crews on the deck. I think we will see them one day on the deck as carrier crews are an important aspect of the aircraft carrier simulation so that it must be implemented one day. We are still on topic when discussing the Newsletter from 2016? :D

  10. Also the screen is getting darker now when lowering the helmet visor in the cockpit. However I wasn't aware that the external model needed an update as well. What exactly has changed?
  11. Added a more appropriate texture to the fuel tanks.
  12. Now that the template has been released months ago and the new fuel tank models for the MiG-29 have made it into the sim I'm wondering where I can find the fuel tank template for the MiG-29. I'm guessing they haven't been released yet within the other templates?

  14. I would like to know this as well. It would be great if we could replace the textures in the DCS World files while still having the ModelViewer application running and update the model with the new textures.

  16. If you think that User skins don't reach the same amount of work and quality as ED's you are wrong, in my opinion. This thread still makes a lot of sense to me, as skinners that are using the same tools as ED to create skins, can view all the available skins and make those that weren't implemented on the official release.

  18. These skins represent the paint scheme of the MiG-29SMT (9-17) Fulcrum for the MiG-29S. Update 11-18-2018 - switched to dds textures - fixed tail numbers - improvements to weathered version - new engine detail Download from User Files.
  19. The longer version is a great idea! Hopefully we'll see the possibility to add 3 digit board numbers in the future then. Thanks for your quick answer!
  20. I'm working on a skin for the Su-33 and wanted to include the board numbers. Currently in the attachment you can see what I've got so far and now I want the ability to change the board number to any 3 digit number rather than having a 2 digit board number or one specific number with 3 digits painted onto the nose. So my question is if that's possible at all by adding/changing some lines in the discription.lua or are there other options?
