I think that should work but sadly it doesn't work for the other variants.

The MiG-29G was updated with new 3d models in the past so I guess it will still be part of DCS World or Flaming Cliffs and will get the same updates as the other versions. The G version is the same as the A except a few little things that are different, so the MiG-29A also represents the G version as well I think. However I don't know if all three aircraft will be sold as one module or if we will see one module per version after they will be updated but I expect all aircraft recieve their own module as they all require the same amount of work. Though I'm not sure how huge the differences between the A and G version are, to fall under one module.

First of all an announcement would be made that the harrier is going to be available for pre-pruchase on day XY. That pre-purchase phase might take a few weeks and then it will be released and come along an update on day XY as this has been multiple times the case for module releases now.

Nobody ever said that RAZBAM is working on a CH-53 module to buy and fly it. So no, but expect the confirmation of the CH-53 module development by RAZBAM as one of the next news if it will ever become reality within DCS.

ED SIMS SCREENSHOT AND VIDEO THREAD!!!! (NO USER MODS OR COMMENT)

It is being worked on but it takes time. Even more when ED is still working on multiple aircraft.
-
I think reducing huge amounts of units, placed over the whole map, might reduce the chance to get a corrupt track recording as well.
-
Who said that the rest of the DCS World maps are based in the USA only? Other areas of the United States are also being used to train their military forces. I'm thinking about Red Flag in Alaska. A completely different terrain than what we have so far in DCS. But of course that is only a speculation from my side.

Was willst du damit sagen? Hat sich DCS World etwa nicht um einiges weiterentwickelt im Vergleich zu mindestens 2 Jahren?
-
ED knows about the broken track replay and according to Wags the problem was bigger than expected but they are still looking for a fix. If I remember correctly I've read that only the control inputs and events are being recorded. If lags, stutters or anything else that corrupts the recording of the control inputs occurs the track will break. I'm not really sure if that's correct. It would be great if it wasn't and the tracks would work accordingly but I doubt that there is any possible way to fix it on our own. I'm expecting a correctly working track replay function after the merge of both DCS versions as there won't be a need to fix it for two different version then.

I kinda expected new trains for Nevada as they currently look not that impressive while Normandy received some great looking trains but that will do the job I guess! I'm wondering how long they will be while not making a huge impact on performance?

I will update the original skin file on the User Files to integrate the weathered skin. The updated skins can be downloaded here now: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/2819237/

I decieded to change the look of the engines for the weathered and normal version as the engines were to light and metallic. I also added a bit more weathering to the second version. Worn out text, paint, stars and a lot more dirty areas on the whole airframe.

DCS World\Bazar\Textures I think if you're looking for a specific MiG-29 pilot texture you won't find them anywhere neither in their own files. However there is a pilot texture in the Su-27 ZIP file and I think they are compatible with the 29. EDIT: There are also a lot more texture files for the MiG-29 in there, though without a appropriate template.

So these are the first attempts. I tried to stick a bit to the screens from mirmidon except the last two because the aircraft looks more wet than used. However I think these are some good first results and maybe it could need a little more? By now I also added the small white board number up on the tail which was stupidly missing..
-
It would be a great help if you could upload just the files with the weathering layers so that I can replace mine with the ones you made. Many thanks. :)

Sure, I can do that. I will post some images of the result in the coming days!

ED showed images of carrier decks filled with crews in the January Newsletter from 2016. Though it was only the russian aircraft carrier with crews on the deck. I think we will see them one day on the deck as carrier crews are an important aspect of the aircraft carrier simulation so that it must be implemented one day. We are still on topic when discussing the Newsletter from 2016? :D

Noticed that as well. Those tyres look different. New clouds as well I think.
-
Also the screen is getting darker now when lowering the helmet visor in the cockpit. However I wasn't aware that the external model needed an update as well. What exactly has changed?
-
Added a more appropriate texture to the fuel tanks.

Now that the template has been released months ago and the new fuel tank models for the MiG-29 have made it into the sim I'm wondering where I can find the fuel tank template for the MiG-29. I'm guessing they haven't been released yet within the other templates?

Found another thread from months ago. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=181918

I would like to know this as well. It would be great if we could replace the textures in the DCS World files while still having the ModelViewer application running and update the model with the new textures.
