  1. Want to chat with a recently retired A-10 combat and instructor pilot? Thank you! I haven't used TeamSpeak yet, but this a great excuse to get it setup. Would be awesome to have it recorded as a backup. Thanks again, greatly appreciated! Mike Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. 3. Just a thought: check the position of the 3 position Mic switch even if using Easy Comms. Ive seen a couple posts where that turned out to be the solution. Again, just a thought. 4. I set mine at zero. I agree with what Cik said above. Plus, I'm new to DCS, and I'm learning the A-10C so I've already got my hands full[emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. 6. Oh man! I'm totally jealous:D That is SO cool! I'm 57 now, have spent a lot of time around that area. When I was growing up, until about 10 years old, I had relatives that lived around the corner on Wilson Point Road. And, years ago, my Dad worked in the big Martin Marietta building across the street. Now, I hang out at the little Post Office to watch planes takeoff and land:) It's great living close to the Airport. From the Costco/Home Depot plaza on Rt40, I usually see A10s flying over a couple times a week. And I live in the Overlea area, so I've seen Hogs flying over my house a few times. I was talking to my Dad last week about checking out the Museum on the Airport property. Neither of us has seen it so I think it would be a great way to spend an afternoon. Thanks for checking in! I appreciate it. All The Best, Mike
  7. Thank you! That's a great tip. I'm just now starting to get into the ME. Everywhere I look there is MUCH to learn... that's part of the fun[emoji4] Mike Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. 8. Mission Editor- how to add a wingman for Single Player Thank you! I had done that part, but thought there MUST be a drop down or command to setup the other aircraft to take the wingman role. I poked around for a while but didn't try the mission. I figured I was missing some steps[emoji16] Thanks again! Mike Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. 9. Ive done a lot of searches here on the forums, plus general Google searches and checked the manuals... Can't find the specific steps to add an AI wingman in a Single Player mission. If someone can point me in the right direction, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks in advance, Mike
  10. Just a quick follow-up: My daughter got me a TrackIR 5 for Christmas. Definitely a must have. I'm amazed at how much it adds to the experience. After using it, can't imagine getting by without it:) Still saving up for the TM Warthog HOTAS  Also, I have the A-10C now and I'm loving it! Fascinating! Mike
  11. Glad I could help. I'm new to DCS, haven't even used the radios yet. When I can't fly the sim I read through the forums to pickup what I can. That just happened to "stick" with me. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while:) Mike
  12. That would be awesome. But for the time being, the fix that Yurgon provide is very helpful. Huge thank you for that!
  13. Not sure if this will help, but thought I'd post a link just in case. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=141437&highlight=Mic+switch Similar symptom, and in post #12 it says that the solution involves the 3 position mic switch. I apologize if this is way off base. I'm a DCS rookie and remembered seeing that thread, figured it is worth a shot... Hope that helps, Mike
  14. Gotcha. I'm pretty new to DCS, my first instal was 1.5 Open Beta so I didn't upgrade. I'm also new to firing Mavericks, just started using them in the last few days. So, I set the option for unlimited weapons and just free fly around blowing stuff up. For hours at a time[emoji4] I don't think I'll ever get tired of using the F2 external view to watch the Mavs come off the rails[emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. 15. Just as another point of reference... I'm on latest 1.5.2 as well. With the A-10C and Mavericks, I've heard that same metallic sound on impact (as apposed to an explosion sound). But, it isn't consistent. I have heard some explosions on impact with target. I'll try tomorrow and see if I can find a pattern. Mike Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. 16. scarecrow101- I'm 57 and just got into DCS recently. Just to let you know that I appreciate the questions you posted and read through the forums quite a bit. I'm learning the A-10C and having a blast. Amazing simulation! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. 17. Excellent solution. Great work. I tried to add reputation, but the system said I can't????? It works on other posts... not sure what's up with that. Mike
  18. That makes a lot of sense to me. Thank you for the post. Mike Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. System specs: Windows 7 Pro, EVGA X58 3x classified 3 MOBO, i7 960 @3.2Ghz, 24Gb Ram, Nvidia EVGA GTX 780ti with 3 Gb VRAM.
  19. CMSC - OTR1 What is it? I read that it means "other 1" (or "other 2" if additional switch is used in another aircraft?). For future expansion or for other aircraft with payload bays that can accept other CM system types. I can try to find the reference for that and link it here if you like. It seemed like a reasonable description. Mike Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. 21. That's was I was thinking about too. Wake turbulence. Regardless of this question, it keeps getting better and better. Amazing [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. 22. Yurgon- thank you very much; excellent post! That's a keeper[emoji4] hhatch- I'm still getting situated, haven't tried a real mission yet, so I'm a few steps behind you. So glad you asked the question, I'll be needing this info real soon now[emoji4] Mike Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. 23. I'd appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction to learn more about this. I could use that mod while I'm training[emoji4] Thank you, Mike Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. 24. SOUND ISSUE / A10C / 1.5 BETA I'm running latest version of 1.5.2 Open Beta. I can hear the engines in the cockpit. Quieter than when I'm outside, of course, but I can definitely hear the engines fine. Nice balance between inside and out. As a side note: inside the pit, I also hear the sound of the air flow "turbulating" over the speed brakes when they are open. My second favorite sound of the A-10C[emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk.
