I noticed it a couple of days ago. It goes like this. For example, pop a flare, you will hear "Chaff, flare" message. And then the same message plays on touchdown, instead of "Altitude". Happened to me with "Chaff, flare" and "Bingo". I don't have a track, because I'm away from home, and the track would be too long anyways as it happened online if that even matters (didn't check on SP).

I'd like to point out that we can't even hold 9G for that long with "simulation" setting for G effect. Wags was able to do a full circle without any tunnel vision at all. Something here is not right.

I'd like to point out that the OP didn't reply in this thread even once, and the last post "on time" was sent by Rudel on 05-22-2019 so I think nothing is going to change here.

Keep in mind that holidays in Russia are in January. Most of the team was off. Instead of focusing on the last update, you better look forward to February, especially with the last newsletter saying that we can expect a big update (2.5.6...) in early February.

Don't want to be mean, but 1st you need to show us something to get some interest in it. 3D modeling is not easy, and takes quite a while to make it look good enough for DCS. You can't really do anything without the 3D model. Take a look at the A-4E mod. It took about 4 years for these guys to bring this bird to life, but they did it. I think it's the only mod that made it to the daylight. So think about it for a moment, are you ready to do it? Anyways, whatever your decision will be, good luck!

Basing on the date of the last post in this thread excluding mine and yours, it's dead long time ago.

External model is still WIP so there is no sense at least for now to sort anything, and skin makers can assign skins to proper countries, but on most servers Vipers are from USA, because no one really cares about that. So in order to be able to use every skin on a server, the skin itself has to be assigned to USA.

But there is something weird with performance in MP. Yesterday when I was flying with my friends, my GPU usage never exceeded 40% and 40FPS. That was the case only in cockpit view (F-16), outside I had stable and smooth 60FPS and GPU was at 70ish% usage. My CPU is i5 4670k @ 4.3GHz so it should be enough. In singleplayer, stable 60FPS and GPU usage as it needs to maintain 60FPS, and with Vsync off I've got about 90-100FPS in the cockpit.

And now check out Wags PC specs. Even secondary PC is a monster with 6700k and 1080Ti on board. Not everyone can afford such PC. We'll see the performance once it's out.

Jesus, what is this curvature??? It looks terrible and I bet it feels like it in flight. With this curvature your joystick reacts differently in every section of it's travel. Sometimes sharper, sometimes softer, and that deadzone... How far do you have to move the stick to move the plane just a little bit? I've got imo better settings for my X52, and it's a really old HOTAS. Why don't you try to set your deadzone to 3-5 and curvature to 25 if you want it to be more precise near the center? P. S. Your YT vid doesn't work for me so unable to give any tips.

Yeah, I agree. Forgot about that, mainly because I don't use this "tactic" too often. But it works, that's true, if you want to force someone to make a move.

As you said, you just started your journey with MP. Don't expect to be insanely good at the beginning, because experience from SP has absolutely nothing to do with MP. As you also noticed, people are hiding in the mountains, etc. It's normal. It's good to track your target without even locking it with your radar. This way your target will not have a warning about being locked. Also, don't fire immediately when you get in range, because it's just a waste of missile. Better wait a little bit, and then release your weapon. You also have cues on the HUD, when you are in range, optimum range, and no escape range. IR missiles don't give any warning when fired, unless you are shooting at an A-10 or M-2000C. Situation awareness is very important. If you know that there is no way for your missiles to connect, don't shoot, wait for a better occasion. I hope this will help you a little bit.

And not only squads. The Viper is also a great solo performer. The only limit is our imagination in terms of making skins.

I'm sure it will get them at some point, just like the Hornet did. It's a matter of time.

Wow, 2nd and 4th Viper, their canopies are so dark. They seem to be too dark actually, at least to me. Personally I wouldn't be able to fly it with a canopy that dark.

Yes, because I used it myself for the 1st on multiplayer. Exact steps: TGP in AG mode and SOI, hit UNCAGE and look at the TGP screen. You'll see that the "LSS" highlights a bit. Screen will freeze and it will be looking for the laser.

We also have the MAP switch even tho our Viper doesn't have that feature. And why? What's the point of removing a switch or two just because it's not operational. Just leave it there and forget about it. Or maybe you can switch it up and down when you are bored.

LSS works... Hit UNCAGE on the throttle and it will start searching for the laser, same as in the Hornet. TGP screen will freeze and only the dot on TGP screen will be circling to find the laser.
