  1. As the title says, do we have something in today's update? I don't see any changes for the Cat in the changelog, and as we all know, sometimes something can slip in, right ;). I'd like to be able to drop flares and chaffs as a RIO again.
  2. I did it this way. 1st I selected a plane AND hit "Briefiing" right after that, THEN alt tabbed. While I was alt tabbed I was writing my previous post, and meanwhile I noticed that something on my screen flashed, I believe it was my mouse cursor, so I went back to DCS (alt tabbed back in) and I was able to click "Fly" because it loaded. And it didn't take long, really, like 10-15 seconds when I was alt tabbed. Tbh, I doubt it would make any difference, but I guess you don't have any better option…
  3. Have you ever considered, that it might be a DCS bug and not the mod? If it works in singleplayer, and does not in multiplayer, and you've tried every possible solution, there is no other way around. Just get over it. I know it may sound a bit harsh, but this is software. Through all these years I've learned to accept that sometimes, something might not work as intended or at all. For your own health, I advise to do the same. BTW, it hang up indeed, but when I alt tabbed and came back I was able to proceed, click "Fly" and I was in the plane. Tested in singleplayer and multiplayer. I have full FC3 package, not single planes.
  4. That's true, you really have to zoom the view in, to see which buttons are selected/active/pushed down.
  5. Make sure you clear the bindings in both "General" and "UI Layer" categories.
  6. Do you have the newest version of the mod? The download is about 550MB, and after unpacking it's 1.65GB. Click on the MiG-23 folder, select properties and see what it says.
  7. Can I know, what makes this mod so "heavy" in terms of disk space? For me it's 1,65GB. The only thing that comes to my mind are textures.
  8. Nah, it's fine, but it doesn't hurt to take just a little bit of time and read a couple of pages of a thread to eventually find the answer you're looking for ;).
  9. WOW, is it really that hard to READ? It's even on the same page…………………. From what I know it will NOT work, because it needs a bit more advanced C++ coding. So I think it's safe to say that we can forget about it, and fly solo (in MP). And here a bit more precise explanation also by me: TO MAKE SURE, that everyone understand, you CAN sit in the back IN SINGLEPLAYER, and you CANNOT IN MULTIPLAYER.
  10. If you read the topic a couple pages back, then you would know that it crashes on MP. From what I know it will NOT work, because it needs a bit more advanced C++ coding. So I think it's safe to say that we can forget about it, and fly solo (in MP).
  11. @Revelation Using the LOFT mode on medium/short range is a waste of time, because before you get the launch authorization, an enemy will be already in range to fire his missile. In this case turning the LOFT mode off comes handy, because missile will go straight to the target, instead of climbing up to then dive on the enemy.
  12. @Cubanace You might find it somewhat useful, if you haven't seen it yet (I doubt you haven't).
  13. You're welcome. I'm also looking forward to this one, because it seems to be a reasonable mod, that might be enough, unless we get anything russian from ED or any official 3rd party, which is unlikely to happen in the near future.
  14. Backseat is available for multiplayer, however, it doesn't work. Once someone who is supposed to sit on the backseat clicks "Briefing" and then "Fly" it crashes. So for now, it has mutlicrew but it doesn't at the same time. How to use it (in the future), really simple. You take the plane, then wait for your friend to join you, he takes 2nd slot (which is backseat), you accept his request and that's it, like in every other module. If you want you can checkout the backseat in singleplayer, by pressing "Lshift + 2" once you're in the simulation.
  15. I believe he would like to be able to deploy both A2A and A2G weapons, which is not possible. As you may have noticed JagHond, FC3 aircrafts are only fighters, or only attackers. No combined possibilites. And since VSN Mods use FC3 avionics, you can use either only A2A weapons, or A2G weapons.
  16. I have experienced that. You are not alone. I bound my wing sweep control to LCtrl+arrows, and after some time I found out that it's not working because DCS wasn't registering LCtrl, only arrows. I didn't find a solution to that, so I've changed my bindings in DCS to single keys, and then re-programmed my X52 profile. P.S. Of course, binding buttons directly in DCS, works.
  17. I think this proof is enough ;). Maximum G achieved 9.9, full fuel, no load. Also, even tho you override G limit with the paddle switch, there is still some kind of limit due to the forces pushing on the airframe. I know it's NOT what we want to achieve (because we are not gonna use it anyhow in a fight), but try to do this. Go about 600kts (or faster), override G limit, pull the stick, when you reach the limit, ease off and pull back on the stick immediately. On the screen you can see 9.9, but in the end I was able to pull 10.8G.
  18. I was waiting for someone to finally notice that the Tomcat has improved significantly in terms of stability and performance (loading times).
  19. I assumed that, basing on my experience, where my friend with 8GB of RAM and SSD couldn't join our server with simple mission, not too many units. When he finally made it, he was able to only take a slot, but not even spawn, and his game sometimes crashed, and sometimes just shut down with no message. For 2 hours when he was trying to connect, he made it maybe like 4-5 times, every time with the same result. That's why I said that FSX737200 probably has 8GBs of RAM and HDD, but is still complaining that he can not connect to any server. On DCS page it says that 8GB is a minimum for LOW settings, and 16GB for heavy missions.
  20. My post was pointed specifically to FSX737200, not you Sirius. You are not crying about not being able to run the Tomcat and not asking for refund, but just pointed out in another thread that you have issues running it. Guy above my post is literally crying about module's performance, but he didn't even post his specs… In my case, I can fly the Tomcat on multiplayer, but I had to lower the settings a little bit, and now it's fine. My PC: i5-4460 3.2GHz, 1050Ti 4GB, 16GB RAM, SSD Evo 860 250GB, and it's enough to play. Also, almost every time 1st try is a no go and kicks me out of a server, but 2nd try is all good, except for a bit long loading time.
  21. 1st of all, you can't get your money back, read EULA. 2nd, stop crying and upgrade your PC if you can't join any server. Let me guess, old PC with probably 8GB of RAM and HDD... Go back to FSX if you are disappointed. F-14 is a heavy module, if you can't understand and accept that, no one can help you. P. S. Everyone has crashes and timeouts, and the module is out for 5 days...
  22. That is correct and applies to every multicrew aircraft. You cannot occupy back seat without human pilot. No info about implementing that in the future.
  23. Wait, you mean this guy? It's a screenshot from Jabbers' video of his live stream. RIO is visible, when you are a pilot, and pilot's body is visible when you are a RIO. But if you mean, that you can see your own body, nope, it's not implemented (yet, probably).
  24. Hi guys! I just wanted to say that links are dead, and I would appreciate a new DL link, cuz I'd like to take a look at all this.
