How customizable are those LED colour changes? Can they be triggered by the game for exapmple? That would be pretty awesome!

I have the saitek rudder pedals so I don't use the built-in rudder. BTW you can lock the rudder on the stick.

I think it's great! There are probably going to be a lot more posts in the future (once the western version is released) so it's good to have things a bit more organized! :thumbup:

I was thinking about that yesterday! Tried out some of those online t-shirt printing websites. The problem is that they only print logos and images on white shirts. My idea was to have a black or dark blue shirt with the DCS logo on it and maybe also the eagle dynamics logo, something like that.

There is a "problems and bugs" group under DCS. Does this mean that we can post problems and bugs with DCS officially on the english forum?

Hey guys! I'm thinking about getting the X52Pro since 3 buttons on my X52 just stopped working. (See this thread http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=33085) I just can't live without those buttons! Multiplied by 3 modes, I lose 18 buttons, which is unacceptable! From what I've read here, the X52Pro doesn't have any major issues I should be concerned about. But I've also thought about getting the Cougar. The thing is that I've read quite a lot about issues with the cougar and the need to mod it for it to be really good/perfect. So How does an unmodded, stock cougar compare to the X52Pro?

I totally agree with you! I've had the sim for about a week as well and still haven't fired one shot. Flying around, practicing takeoffs and landings, exploring the cockpit and systems is so much fun, it'll keep me busy for quite some time.

Check out the "Processor Affinity" thread. When setting processor affinity to both CPUs, you get a serious performance boost (about 50%). Users reported that this mostly occurs on machines running Vista. I myself have Vista x64 with 4Gb ram and have tried setting affinity. The performance increase was incredible. Don't know however if this has anything to do with the OS. On the other hand, Vista needs more memory to run than XP, so you have to be careful there. 2GB in XP is not the same as 2GB in Vista. All I can tell you is that Vist x64 runs really smooth with 4Gb ram.

Yeah, I just checked the manual. You can ask the ground crew to replace the HMS with the NVG. So that basically means you shouldn't fly into a hostile zone at night. :D

But is it realistic? I mean in reality, do they fly this thing at night? There are some kind of night vision goggles for the pilot in the game, aren't there?

Just out of curiosity, why does the KA-50 have searchlights if it is not really able to operate at night?

WOW! This is amazing! I was almost constantly below 30FPS and now with affinity set to both CPU's I'm between 40 and 50 on average. It runs really smooth now, like butter! Thanks VERY much for this tip! BTW: I have a real budget CPU, AMD64 4200+ X2 2.2GHz @ 2.81 GHz. I also have 4xAA, 8xAF and MipMap set to High Quality (Radeon HD2900 Pro). Game settings are all on high except for view distance (medium) and shadows (all planar) on 1280x1024. I'm totally happy with the performance now. THANX!!!

Are you asking because you want to get one of them or just for fun?

I just received the russian version and I'm going to buy the western release as well. And of course the printed manual, once it's released.
