  1. Great help guys, very appreciated! Will try the advices and report, thanks!
  2. +1
  3. Could someone tell me the location of the roughmet map for the external fuel tanks?, I cant find it anywhere... Thanks!
  4. Just wanted to know if its normal that afterburners take so much time to shutdown once you decrease power to MIL...they take like 7 seconds to shutdown which is not common in any other plane...anyone else noticed this?, is this the way it works in the real hornet?... Also, if you drastically reduce from AB to idle for instance the burners shutdown faster but still taking a big time instead of "almost" shutdown instantly. thanks!
  5. Dont worry, already solved...just using the RA rotary as Maverick suggested ;)
  6. Ops, for some reason missed your post buddy...thanks a lot, this worked great...with this+A/C menu baro alt setting there is no more warnings
  7. I hope they still working on this...also hope the removal of the wintips vortex is because they are alsoworking on them...some randomness would be a massive improvement on this regard.
  8. +1, also the external shadows are more and more low res at closer distance with every patch to the point just a few meters form the plane shadows are barely perceptible.
  9. also try using differential thrust...
  10. Thanks a lot guys, you are right, with arresting hook and/or launch bar enabled you MUST use the fingerlifts in order to lit AB...missed this, now I know it!
  11. I dont know why you say this, in my case Im totally fine with the warnings system from the COCKPIT but not from the external views, thats all so if there is any way to get rid of it (or just turn down the volume) I wold love it.
  12. As far as I can tell, there is something "odd" going on with this controls bacause: 1-Fingerlifts are NOT needed once in the air (no weight on the wheels) as I can lit the burners and see the throttles go to the absolute max just by moving my wharthog throttles accordingly to the max. I use the "bump" afterburners mod in my TM WH. 2-The fingerlifts are mandatory ONLY when taking off from the carrier, no matter if being launched from the catapult or just a "touch and go", the burners wont lit if you dont use the fingerlifts. I think this is kind of and odd/buggy behaviour unless there is something in hte system making the plane to know its in a carrier which I highly doubt...
  13. Thanks all for your replies guys!...as I already said, trying to change the altitude alert level in the A/C submenu under DATA page doesnt seem to work no matter what value I set...I chosen 0 for both Baro and RA and the alert still chirping at random?¿ altitude...the reason I want to disable it is because it still sounds in the external views which drives me crazy everytime I want to watch a replay for a display for instance... Also, I dont know what the TAWS is nor can find anything in the manual so please, can someone eleborate on this? thanks a lot!
  14. Just this guys, Im sick of hearing the damn "altitude, altitude" alarm sound as well as most warning sounds, but none of the knows of the left panel seem to work...also tried entering a "0" in the A/C submenu inside the data page for the altimeter but doesnt seem to work either... any ideas? thanks!
  15. Ok, thanks, just asked because saw some pictures without them...guess they removed them from the 3d model manually...
  16. Just that, Im not sure if this was something available for the beta or not...anyway I cant find the option anywhere so I guess no but just in case... thanks!
  17. After some more testing with overcast and rain conditions I cant see any difference in the vapours behaviour so I still thinking the effect is linked to a too "narrow" condition...hope they make some changes to it as it looks superb.
  18. updater tels me my version is up to date...guess is not live yet?
  19. Absolutely agree with you bin801! Sice they made the cockpit to look like it does now I have the same feelings, it looks like wet paper or something like that (cardboard maybe)...also, the color is too grey and should be much darker/black...another thing is the intensity of the reflectivity which imho is also way too low, there should be much higher shine in the materials (leader, plastics, glass, etc.)... Hope ED can improve this...:)
  20. +1, I thought I was crazy after experiencing this, glad to see Im not the only one...In my case, I noticed it after some failes traps when I couldnt get my burners to lit. Throttle back to mil power and again to ab makes burners to lit.
  21. So far I can say that trim WORKS with flaps on medium/full, I can actually see the little bar of trim moving in the controls gui (RCtrl+Enter) but with flaps up I cant see any triming taking effect (either in the controls GUI)...Again, I have very little knowledge about the hornet right now so Im probably making thigs wrong (especially in take off, where the plane skyrockets without control and the trim proves to be useless to compensate). Btw, I always fly in simulation mode so I dont think thats the "problem".
  22. Yeah, sure, no complaining here, just pointing this out to know what you guys think about this...as I said, it feels too "binary", like "all or nothing" and I think it should has a wider/smoother response. Of course at some point this will combine with full wings vapour which should be much bigger and varied but the vapour on the lex feels a bit constrained imho right now. I know it might be a WiP yet so lets see how this evolve.
  23. Hi, a little thing I noticed in the new, and fantastic hornet!, is that engines smoke seems to behave in an odd way...there is not any smoke from idle to almost 97% rpm, then, from 97 to 100% there is smoke and then in after burners no smoke again...I wonder if this is the way it should be ( smoke only showing at very narrow power band) though I highly doubt it so I post it here as I havent seen any other plane behaving like this.
  24. The plane does NOT fly SO straight for me, especially during take off where it just goes up like a rocket...to me, it feels pretty much like the F-5 and not like the m2000 for instance. Again, I might be missing something as I barely have any idea of the systems of this bird yet so... Also, why I cant see the trim button animation in the stick?
  25. The new vapour fx look fantastic and Im really glad we finally got them, however, after flying a bit with the hornet I felt like the fx seems somewhat too "straitened" to a very narrow condition which means it only shows at very few moments and appears and dissapears too quickly/abruptly imho. The M2000 vapours feel much more natural to me. In real life videos I can clearly see how there is a good amount of vapour in the lex at low speed high AoA pass but its not happening in the new hornet...I know it depends on weather conditions but I havent noticed any noticeable change after changing some weather settings. In the m2000 when you carry a heavy load and you increase AoA you can nicely see how vapours are much more pronounced than when flying lighter due to increased load in the surfaces but doesnt seem the case in the hornet. Maybe its not a bug but would like to know whats your opinion on this guys...
