  1. So glad you like it guys!!:) I think Tim said he was out of the city though I dont know for how long...
  2. Sharp eyes!, thanks for noticing the spelling typo!!...anyway, even with the typo, the rest of textures should work and even after fixing the error the mod is being completely ignored and donesnt work at all...Your path and files look the same as mine and also shows in game but nothing...same with the english cockpit mod...very weird...
  3. Glad to help  Ok, I think I added all the entries correctly but even then it still refuses to work  Thing is I decided to test if the Gospadin English cockpit mod worked and wow, it doesnt work neither ...I installed it correctly and selected in the options menu but nothing happens...the cockpit is still in french so I guess is not my lua's fault...can you guys tell me if the english cockpit mod is working for you please?...attached is the description.lua I have made in case you want to test it also... Bye!! description.lua
  4. Many thanks for your help...I tried again and for some reason it doesnt work. I also tried using as reference the English cockpit mod by our dear (God bless him ) Gospadin but no success. This is how the lua looks (and I can select it from the custom cockpit in the options menu): livery = { {"Mirror", 0 ,"mirrors",true}; --mirrors texture replacement with runtime rendered one {"VC_01", ROUGHNESS_METALLIC, "M2KC_1C_RoughMet", false}; {"Material #2022", 0, "M2KC_3C", false}; {"Material #2022", ROUGHNESS_METALLIC, "M2KC_3C_RoughMet", false}; {"Material #186", 0, "M2KC_4C", false}; {"Material #186", ROUGHNESS_METALLIC, "M2KC_4C_RoughMet", false}; {"Material #188", ROUGHNESS_METALLIC, "M2KC_6C_RoughMet", false}; {"Material #189", ROUGHNESS_METALLIC, "M2KC_7C_RoughMet", false}; {"Material #2061", ROUGHNESS_METALLIC, "M2KC_8C_RoughMet", false}; {"Material #2067", ROUGHNESS_METALLIC, "M2KC_10C_RoughMet", false}; {"Material #2050", ROUGHNESS_METALLIC, "M2KC_11C_RoughMet", flase}; {"Material #2069", ROUGHNESS_METALLIC, "M2KC_12C_RoughMet", false}; } I dont know whats wrong... EDIT:ok, I think I miss some entries...will try again...
  5. Not sure JoJo as I didnt play much in MP in 2.2 and in previous versions...just noticed now in new 2.5 when playin MP in the caucasus map...last night in the "just dogfight" server it NEVER worked, not a single time with a nice and clear radar lock and a, say, 1-2 miles of the target and it NEVER slaved, only when I put the little cross where the Magic line of sight is centered it gave a tone...however, the "unslave" botton did work fine...
  6. Thats a great idea, I tried it but couldnt manage to make it work because I dont know most arguments for the "description.lua"...tried a few times but didnt worked...if someone knows better what arguments are needed would be of great help. Yeah, I tried to make it in a way that the gauges were readable 99% of the time, even when reflecting...the only case where they can be less readable is in overcast conditions where at certain angle the reflection is quite strong...anyway, this is still being perfectly realistic and would happen in real life so we have to "deal with it" :P Yeah mate, the mod is 2.5 only though I guess you can use it to remove the "pink" tint of the hud pedestal and clean a bit its color but the "shiny" effects wont work in anything with no deferred shading or deferred shading off, sorry...About JSGME yeah, I had exactly the same problem a couple of days ago...it makesabout 70% of the image but then stops and nothing happens...anyway, there is no need for the image to use it for enabling/disabling mods...just drop the mods in the folder and eneble/disable without making the image
  7. It works for me...forcing it in the nvcp...
  8. What I have figured out so far is: -In single player: it works fine always -In multiplayer: It NEVER works can anyone test this? bye!
  9. Hi, just wanted to know if someone tested this mission in the new 2.5 version...the problems Im having are that the ejected f-16 pilot is in the midle of a vast forest so I cant see the flares most of the times but even less the insurgents getting close to him so I cant use any weapond to kill them as the TGP is useless with its current IR visuals...also, at the end, when the ground units appear, they do it directly just in front of the dende forest instead of coming from the road as it was previously so again, its impossible to kill them once they are inside the forest...also, I think the choppers cant pick the pilot due to the trees... anyone? thanks!
  10. Thanks A LOT for your support guys, greatly appreciated!! Sadly yeah, it doesnt pass IC check , but I have just uploaded a new version compatible with JSGME so its easier to install/uninstall when desired ;)...anyway, I hope Tim can make this improvements at some point or directly use my files, which as I already said, are at his total disposal in case he thinks they are worth :) Bye and enjoy!!
  11. Many thanks for the support mates!, really!!...I just updated the canopy mod to make it JSGME compatible btw so its much faster to enable/disable. Thanks again and bye!!
  12. Lctrl+Y (2 or 3 times will completelly remove it. ;) Cheers
  13. Yeah, they look kind of metallic (so the blue color) and reflect too much the sky...
  14. Well, what can I say...I totally agree with you ...sound is much more "realistic" in terms of what we can reproduce with actual equipment than the image and makes such a HUGE difference...I love how you described what we want also :)... anyway, ED is recently making some nice improvements in the sound department but as you said, we need much more "grunt" and air "cracking" as well as variety for the EXTERNAL sounds...sound, due to its nature, is hard to describe with words. I dont know how deep the sound engine is for DCS, but I would love if they develop a true SIMULATION of the sound, I mean, record many high quality samples, and somewhat mix them in a DYNAMIC way so that the CPU (which has PLENTY of power for this) can then use a simulation algorithm to modify them (SPL, frequencies, attenuation, distortion, etc.) on the go just like the wind, temp, etc. would do in real life...on top of that add as many variables as possible to take into account: wind speed, wind direction, distances from listeners to sources, source speed, relative source speed with respect to listener, air temperature, air density, ground plane effect, isolated emitters (instead of recording already mixed sounds, record them separatedly so that each sound source is treated as individual "emitter" inside the sound simulation engine so that an "infinite" amount of them can be added independently and will have its own "computed output" in the sound simulation which could open a new world in terms of detail and complexity) , sound barrier, randomization to introduce changes in the output given by the simulation algorithm, etc...it might sound too complex, but I think its not that hard if you have a sound engineer and a soft engineer right? :P
  15. Im sorry OP, but I cant disagree more about DS...DS ON is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better IN ANY SITUATION than having it turned off...it might need some adjustments (or not) but its the most advanced tech and it makes a huge (better) improvement at any level you can think of...all the screens you posted with DS on look way better and more realistic than the ones with it off...also, bear in mind that with DS on you have the ability to use cockpit G.I., which makes wonders in the cockpit while with it off makes cockpit NOT react to the sun light which is obviously not the case in the real life...so, Im sorry if you like it more with DS off (which I respect and can understand), but this is the future and what will make things to look even better at every step. Cheers!
  16. I agree about the increased number of dynamic shadowing light sources, though not about not needing more effects ;) It would make a nice difference to have casting shadows on objects (at least other airplanes) when being illuminated by artificial lights, most important for instance the landing gear lights and the Air refueling lights... would be great to make them project shadows over other planes/objets or on the basket and the tanker when AtA refueling...self shadowing is not that power demanding nowadays so might be possible...
  17. Great, thanks for your comments guys!!, hope you enjoy it. :)
  18. I made a little "pack" with both versions+pilot roughmets + external Hud projector glass material, hope you like it too: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3180749/ bye mates!
  19. Ok, many thanks!, btw, what about the BAP-100?
  20. baltic_dragon, did you found the info about the radar screen and some info about how to proceed and symbology when other planes enable their jammer (you are being jammed)?? Also, I didnt remember about the BAP-100 bombs until I saw them in the manual now...is there plans to implement them yet? thanks a lot!
  21. Many thanks for the kind words guys :) I guess it should be available today...btw Mav783, being approved in the users downloads doesnt mean its official...anyway Im sure Tim will still make improvements and maybe he will add glass for the gauges and for the hud and such...of course Tim, if you dont have the time and think what I did is not that bad :P please, feel free to use whatever you wish :)...I just would love to fly the mirage with these things without breaking IC, I think they make a nice difference, especially in movement. Bye mates!
  22. So sad news, condolences to the family. R.I.P
  23. Thanks to you for your fast support mate! Hope you guys can find the issue. Cheers!
  24. Well, made this thread because Im 100% sure whats causing the crash (asking my wingman to attack ground units) and because this time the auto-log system of DCS worked perfectly and made the whole package with logs, crash, dxdiag, etc...attached at the bottom. Bignewy, if you read this, now this log is the correct one. Using latest patch, all drivers up to date and my system is in very good shape (no crashes of any kind playing intensive games and such). If I dont ask that order I can fly as long as I want no problems...already tried repairing and such and the install is clean. thanks!! dcs.log-20180218-200745.zip
  25. Im experiencing also crashes without any crash logs being generated...also with the m2000 when asking my wingman to "attack ground targets at opportunity" in case you can check if it also happens to you that way (not instan crash but after a while of asking so)... cheers!
