The wife has given the green light for purchasing the next garget. Looking forward to CV1! Hopefully the resolution will be high enough then. I guess I can live with the rest of the problems...

I don't know. My guess is that forcefeedback is calculated on the already-overloaded CPU. Disabling that will of course free up some CPU muscle for more relevant things...
-
You are welcome. Glad to be of help. :)

In my case 1.2.8 has been very smooth... And your specs is very similar to mine. In contrast to the previous versions, for 1.2.8 I enabled vsync and disabled force-feedback and head-movement under g-force (or something like that). Did you try these settings?

That is true to certain extent, thanks to the LN team. But unfortunately the information concerning the release date comes from ED, not LN... For the record, I am not blaming anyone, for I have witnessed the past train of events which has led to the current state of affairs. But I do wish for more updates from ED (and a stronger heart for the ED PR department to bear all the whining/complains).

If you really want to see the mindset of different nations, don't exaggerate the facts... What you said in the first statement that I quoted is simply not true. IMO, it's not that people on the English forum are less patient than those on the Russian forum. It's that the update on the English forum is lacking. That, in turn, has its own reasons, of course.

2014 is certainly not a year for airplanes. Is this the reason for all the delays for the virtual ones? A bad joke, I know. But I couldn't resist... :D

What a shitty year...

Malaysian airlines 777 crashed in Ukraine
blackbelter replied to Jona33's topic in Military and Aviation
I understand what you guys are trying to say. But at this stage, with no real information regarding the true culprit, all finger-pointing means very little. It is laughable to see some journals that are widely respected trying to do the same thing. Now I am not so sure about their credibility. -

It could be a mistake. Or a political conspiracy. Either way, it is a tragedy. Sadly, we can do nothing to prevent this from happening again in the future. -
Is this some kind of math puzzle... Guess which is the next patch number: A. 1.3.0 B. 1.2.9 C. 2.0.0 D. 2.6.1 Answer: Just give me Su-27 PFM already...

You must be really new to DCS... Maybe EDGE can solve the problem.
-
Has it been confirmed that the 21 will be released only with 1.3.0? Thanks. Looking forward to it.

Very impressive job... Bravo! I might have some free time soon. Might build one for myself... Please do share as much information on this as possible! Thanks a lot.

I agree completely... There are clearly issues with VR as it is that require looking into. There are also issues with a full-blown projection system. For example, the vertical viewing angle is limited... You can't simply raise your head and look up like you could with a head-tracking system such as tir. That is in addition to the spatial requirement and the horrendous monthly electricity bill... To me, I would want a full-blown projection system with the above issue (vertical fov) ironed out. That would be the next best thing after piloting a real aircraft. Next up might be VR, with all the mentioned issues resolved. But as it is, it seems that the most sensible option for me is to keep the current setup (42 TV+trackir), until a later time when either system mentioned above achieves perfection.

Hey Alper, your T-shirt looks pretty cool. Makes me want one too...

To me, all the discussion here, be it complain (so called whining) or compliment, is just people relieving their anxiety while waiting for the release... No need to take it at the face value. No matter what the devs say, people will always want more information... There will always be something to be discussed. IMHO the devs should be happy even though they are being virtually beaten up. The more beaten up, the happier they should be (sounds a bit weird doesn't it :D), because that means more sales upon release.

Congratulations to the winners!

Which do you prefer, modern or historical airframes?

Polls, for what it's worth, reveal the public opinion. They do not assume ED is doing anything wrong or right to begin with. They can be helpful if the results are analyzed carefully and correctly. Posts that are filled with rage but has no meaning, such as yours, is indeed idiotic and cause nobody to change anything. Next time keep it to yourself and refrain from replying. Please. -

Did you try repairing your install? Start -> Eagle Dynamics -> DCS -> Repair Did you try removing the saved game folder? Did you point the shortcut (if you are using one) to the correct file? Other than that, I can't help you. Sorry. -

4 sticks of 8mb is 32mb. Too little memory don't you think? :megalol: You never mentioned your graphics card. Are you using the integrated one? That might be your problem. You registered in 2011 and yet this is your first post? :joystick: -

blackbelter replied to blackbelter's topic in Chit-Chat
Enough of this... Neither of us can prove anything (can we be more useless? :D) Again, everybody is free to choose whether he/she buys the results of the poll... -

Trying to shift the burden of proof? Nice try :D But it won't work here. You are trying to falsify my assumption, and you need to provide the relevant evidence. In other words, you bear the burden of proof. And in response to your previous post, of course we do not now have enough respondents. But the poll ends in 10 years' time. Why the haste? -

Of course I don't know if I have representative sample. In fact I have no way of knowing that... But I don't have any reason to believe otherwise. You are free to choose not to believe the results of the poll, of course. Everybody is entitled their own opinion. By the way, do you also disbelieve the results of polls such as http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=126222 And in case you believe the poll on graphics cards, can you point out the differences between the two polls which lead to your different opinions regarding them?
