  1. I second everything that Jers has mentioned above. DCS has been around long enough now that there should have been some form of attention given to this sorely neglected side of DCS. I also agree that while the majority of the player base may lie in the Single Player side there are many of us that much prefer to fly with other human beings. I think most would agree that the AI leaves much to be desired. I for one am very thankful for the guys at Hoggit as well as all the others, who take their time and hard earned money to host these servers for all of us to enjoy. It should not be as difficult as it is for them to do what they do.
  2. Just downloaded. I always have been a sucker for the Ferris scheme. Thank you!
  3. You will need to create the folder named FA-18C_Hornet in the livery folder at this address. C:\Users\YOURNAME\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Liveries\FA-18C_hornet Then place the liveries you want to use in that folder. Let me know if you have any other questions. Feel free to PM me.
  4. I highly encourage everyone to check it out. Hoggit is still working out the kinks but they are really working hard to make it perfect. Its become my go to place for PvE multiplayer.
  5. Yep, they work just fine in the saved games folder. You just have to create the Hornet folder. And it has a specific name you have to use otherwise they won’t show up. Not at my PC or I would give you the name but it should be easy to find. It’s been posted in the forum multiple times.
  6. I would love to have a manual that explains what to do from the player side of things. What I’ve read is all aimed at mission designers. There are a couple of MP servers that have CTLD enabled but ill be damned if I can figure it all out. I just want to be able to transport troops to help the cause but I can never seem to find a straight answer.
  7. The ones on this page are not real life images but do show the proper layout. I will look around and see what I can find. http://www.twobobs.net/contents/en-us/p138.html Edit-This page has some shots that give an idea what the line birds look like. And I have to admit, I had never noticed the "camo" on the speedbrake before. :)
  8. Texac, any progress made on this one yet? I keep checking the downloads every day hoping for a Christmas present. :)
  9. Would love to add this one to my hangar for those days where I’m feeling extra patriotic.
  10. That would be really handy. Great idea!
  11. My god man, how do you guys crank out such high quality work so fast??? My Hornet livery folder just broke 6GB today. Very thankful for all the great options out here.
  12. I must admit, that’s a great looking livery.
  13. All these beautiful skins are going to fill up my drives. Pretty sure my livery folder exceeds the size of the actual Hornet by now. :)
  14. Alright, I got to spend about an hour with this livery this evening and all I can say is WOW! There are so many liveries available for this wonderful bird but this one takes the cake for me. Your probably tired of hearing me say it, but thank you for this skin. It’s just different enough from the flood of liveries that it stands out enough. Now hopefully skins can be loaded server side so that everyone else can see what you are flying.
  15. I could see this being a great addition to the Huey and the L-39.
  16. That is great news! This will be my go to skin until the bengal skin from VMFA-224 gets released. Then it will be hard to pick just one. :)
  17. I will have to try that. I can see where it might be easier than Case 1. And more fun. :)
  18. I don’t know why but I think this is my most anticipated livery yet. :)
  19. Hello all. I am trying to use my very limited ME skills lately to make my own little Hornet playground on the PG map and have been pretty pleased with my own work so far. However, I would love to have the deck of my Stennis carrier populated with other aircraft. There have been a few examples posted in the user files of .miz files with the Stennis populated with static objects and this is exactly what I am trying to achieve. But no matter what I try the template I create and try to put in my personal mission is an empty Stennis. I have followed all the guides I can find but it seems that templates can only be created with active units, not static objects. What am I doing wrong here? Is this a limitation of the ME or am I just not doing it correctly. Thanks in advance for your help. This noob to the Mission Editor is clearly in over his head. :)
  20. You are my hero.
  21. Thank you for this. I recently switched over to a 21:9 monitor and was looking for the proper way to mod the default view. Now I know. :)
  22. I know this is a D model, but this livery would be amazing.
  23. Here is the Hornet in question. Could not get the image to link in the first post.
  24. Im sure its just me but the first "Turquoise" color looked better. For some reason I want to say that I have seen Fullbacks in both shades of blue. In fact, I am almost certain I have. Either way, thank you for making this one. I am anxiously awaiting its arrival.
  25. I think I had a similar issue when the PG map came out. If I remember correctly, what I did was have all my tankers and the carrier move a short distance from WP0 and then activate the TACAN at WP1. Try that out and see if it works.
