  1. I'm hoping the new TM pedals (I have them on Amazon preorder) will work out better for me than my failed attempts with the Saitek Combat Pedals. I'm a below the knee amputee on the right side and the little foot rests on the new pedals has me excited. I have a Warthog HOTAS sitting here that I can't use until I find pedals that work for me.
  2. Had not found that one yet. Thanks for the tip!
  3. TYVM for this tweak. My crew chief actually has cleaned the windscreen and I can see properly. :)
  4. I would like to have a crew chief that knows how to clean the windows properly. I know they should be a little dirty, but it seems to be a little over done on this module.
  5. For those of us who either don't have, or can't use pedals as in my situation (right leg amputee), I would love to see some kind of rudder trim. Even if it's not the most realistic. I won't even begin to guess what that would take, but if it were to happen I know I would be most grateful. I REALLY want to get to flying this bird, but every time I try to hover, or go below 100 kmh, I always wind up struggling with the tail rotor all the way to the ground. And almost always a fireball. :(
  6. Based on the quality seen so far from PolyChop, I would love to see them tackle a proper Chinook. Or even better a SuperStallion.
  7. I too would be interested in what others have found that works for them. In my case, the X-55 in particular.
  8. +1 to this. Would be nice to know for mission planning.
  9. At this point I would like to do anything BUT crash the helicopter. :) And yes, the eyes are a little strange. I imagine "Chucky" in a helmet.
  10. And here I was coming to the forums to ask where your guide was for this wonderful aircraft. :) I also have the same problem. Has to be a bug.
  11. I am getting the same thing in 1.5. :( I dont think ED has pushed today's update that enables the Gazelle. I would imagine we will be getting that shortly along with the weekend news. autoupdate_log.txt
  12. Yep, same here. Just purchased. Now for some quality flying. :)
  13. I don't think we will be that lucky, but if so, I know what I'm doing all day. :):joystick:
  14. Not soon enough. My inner child is getting the best of me in wanting to get my hands on this bird. :)
  15. Any new news on this aircraft and RWS getting the thumbs up from ED?
  16. I too am a lover of all things rotary winged in DCS. However I think the Dauphine/Panther, would be in an even smaller niche than the Gazelle is going to be. The Gazelle has guided weapons and spotting systems, where as the Dauphine looks to only have the most basic of helicopter weaponry. Meaning unguided rockets and gunpods. Please don't misconstrue this into something it's not. I want desperately have more helicopters in DCS. We have a couple of good transports, an upcoming recon/light attack, and one solid attack bird. I would like to see a more modern full fledged attack helicopter added to the hangar. That's my 2 cents worth. :)
  17. Thank you again for all of your work. I firmly believe that your guides are what me starting back with DCS possible. Once we learn a module, it's very easy to forget how intimidating DCS can be. I figure if I, with 22 years in aviation, can quickly become overwhelmed by a single module. These guides are exactly,What I needed.well done
  18. I'm just spitballing here, but if you have the "Hear like a helmet" option checked, you wouldn't (shouldn't) hear the igniters firing. Yes, IRL they are loud, but if your simulating that your wearing a well insulated helmet, all you will hear will be whatever comms you are tuned too. That and faint background noises.
  19. Just fired up to fly around and test things out, and the server is not there. Is there any particular schedule for the new version of Skynet?
  20. I think you will find the right mix of radio commands and chat functions. I did really like the chat function that allowed me to load more than one item at a time. That was a time saver. I will be on the server a lot in the coming days now that I have a ton of free time. Will report what I find and provide feedback as well. Thanks again for all your efforts.
  21. So I just discovered that the new script is up for testing. I did notice that I could load ammo into my Mi-8 now. :) Suggestion or idea-Have one document that we can download that has all the available chat commands. Probably broken down by category. If this is something you could whip up, and we could have handy for quick reference, I think it would be very handy. Particularly while people are learning the new methods of obtaining information.
  22. Any word on not being able to load ammo into helicopters? If it cant be fixed, maybe remove that part of the transport missions?
  23. Check out the Open Conflict server. The aircraft are there for those that want to do the "UT:Aerial Edition", but there are enough to objectives of all kinds to complete. I frequently find myself wishing the server didn't reset as often so I could do a few more things. Certainly worth checking out if you have never stopped in and given it a chance. And it's only going to get better soon with the authors new framework coming soon.
  24. Oh boy, this looks very promising! BTW, is the server updated for the latest patch that came out on 4/1?
  25. Found this thread after way too many VRS incidents. I too have an X-55 and this may be the trick. I am also thinking it may have something to do with axis settings. I have noticed on this heli, and the KA-50, very little collective (throttle) movement, has a very big effect. I set mine up according to Chuck's guide, but maybe I need to tweak it around and actually learn how the saturation and curves work. Strange part is when I first started flying the Mi-8, I had no issues landing. Now its almost as if I have forgotten everything.
