  1. uhhhh i think @op has the right understanding of the physics, hes just describing it from an unorthodox perspective "throttle for GS and stick for AOA" is definitely an invitation for some big misunderstandings anyways really not sure what this thread is meant to contribute, landing the hornet is a thread already done to death several times over.
  2. mig-19p is not mig-19s, and is representative of neither vietnam nor 6day war where the lighter, radarless 19s were used. how people can remain so willfully ignorant of fundamentals of subjects they so profess to be interested in is really beyond me i can only conclude you guys are far less interested in aircraft than you are in fulfilling a personal powertrip fantasy
  3. better choice is to just git gud
  4. the aim54 we have in game is the same aim54 we've had since forever so there is nothing new to talk about yet
  5. of course you wouldnt find anything when you search with the wrong words search for joint helmet mounted cuing system / jhmcs
  6. not sure how strong and "extraordinary" your issue is then, a video or replay might help unrelated, manual recommends not dropping rpm below 1000.
  7. comparisons to a bicycle or trike cant really be made since the tailwheel is freecastoring, so theres no force against lateral movement either way. however in brake-turn scenarios the width of the undercarriage on the dora serves to make it much more sensitive, as the movement arm from the acting force to the pivot point is so much longer. the dora also has an absurdly powerful engine for the size of the plane and it should be no surprise that even what feels like minor movements of the throttle will lead to strong torque swings on the ground -- most people are far too cavalier with how fast they taxi anyways and if you taxi at recommended rpm settings (aka slowly and not going for that instantaneous acceleration) the dora is quite manageable. snaking isnt exactly "bad" as you see irl warbird pilots snake down the taxiway for visibility, especially important for aircraft with such long noses.
  8. 60 dollars vs clairvoyance, which one is more to ask? you do understand that any statement published to the public always has and always will be de facto treated as a promise, and that the damage to reputation of a company is a far higher cost than your personal peace of mind? lastly your accusation of extortion are also extortive in itself. nobody is forcing you to buy the module, and there will be sales at a lower price in the future. you're the only one talking yourself into buying it, and you're the only one accountable for the faith you put into pre-purchasing.
  9. get out of the mindset of staying in-plane with your target. when you try to follow your enemy through his moves you're letting him lead you around by the nose in his best regime -- not yours. you must strongly adhere to your own best moves: fly the routine you want him to fly, not the one he wants you to fly. set for yourself a target speed and stick to it; go out-of-plane any time your enemy tries to sucker you into breaking your target speed. this is where bfm comes into play, you need to use geometry to package your best performance in a way that prevents the other guy from exploiting it. dont get greedy. patience is key, focus on not getting suckered before trying for the kill. it's going to feel counterintuitive, you're often going to feel like you're missing/giving up the kill/disengaging from the fight compared to the dogged latch-on-and-dont-let-go mentality of turnfighting, but you need to be that asshole kid on the playground that insists on playing by his own rules and is ready to walk away with the ball whenever things dont go his way.
  10. what does it matter when the incoming fa-18 module is a completely new implementation?
  11. i thought you were joking at first, now i see i gave you too much credit
  12. reality has a tendency to get in the way of theory
  13. silly billy, you dont know yet the back seat is the better seat
  14. if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
  15. took me a few times to figure out this is to ensure jhmcs functionality from 3pv? elaborate on the need to hide jhmcs when looking forward in 3pv when there is no hud element?
  16. i think you are confusing unrelated issues. lack of feedback has nothing to do with stick location. simmers enjoy ffb sticks that can be mounted on the side just as easily as in the center, and had airbus so chosen to, they could link sidesticks to give synched haptic feedback.
  17. anyone who is struggling to feed their kids should not be corking off flying virtual airplanes
  18. hornets going to have fewer flight quirks than the tomcat. systems-wise the hornet will in all likelihood be easier for you to come to terms with as well.
  19. well there's educated speculation and there's wishful thinking. i think with consideration to the lead times presale marketing needs, there's no reason to believe the tomcat will beat the hornet to release. there's always going to be a very distinctive increase in pr tempo preceding major events, and it's just not there yet.
  20. can confirm this is just f35 exhaust rcs model this has been visible and known for years btw you should probably put that site in the dumpster.
  21. how is this not an explanation? maybe you simply dont want to be satisfied so that you can try to get ed to concede in your favor??? speak truthfully please.
  22. pretty big assumption that the tombcat will be out by summer heh
  23. proven by what?
