  1. Do you have any mods installed? Removed them, and in any case, run a slow repair. I just tested the mission, the helo landed and stayed well away from the taxiway.

  5. If you see this please send the log file to ED, I have no impact on whether the Load mission trigger works or not Anyhow try emptying your fxo and metashaders folders and run a slow repair, because it never happened to me during testing, so maybe it's some sort of corruption.

  8. Hey, thanks so much for the kind words and for sharing your feedback. I'm more of an analog guy, the F-16 is the furthest forward in history that I ever dared to venture. Maybe one day I'll do another, but now I'm back to WW2 and the cold war You're right about the DRYAD, and I thought about where I could use it, but it's the first stage of the war where CAS kind of situations happened, in the latter part it's mostly pre planned strikes with large packages, so no need to ID yourself. About Kanget, did you read the briefings? I thought I mentioned him a few times there, and he also comes up in missions 9 and 10. Anyhow, enjoy the Hornet version, and thanks again!
  9. In complex missions the game needs to load more than in more simple ones. But it shouldn't crash. Please send the crashlog to ED to see what's causing it. Also, try loading a simple mission on the Kola map, and THEN try to load an Arctic Thunder mission.
  10. I'm also getting massive freezes from time to time since the last update. I don't have WW MFDs, and I'm not running DCS as admin. I do have WW gear though, but the WW software is not running either.
  11. I thought about that but decided against it. If you open the kneeboard there’s a copy of the checklist and after 1-2 missions it will become second nature. And from then on the highlights would be quite immersion breaking.

  13. I double checked in game, the freqs match, both in your Viper, the tanker and the kneeboard. You guys are either pressing the wrong transmit button or it's a HOTAS thing, or your game is somehow corrupted - unofficial mods?
  14. I had the same idea in Red Flag, where the AI has to fly a wide arc at some point. Adding more turnpoints just made the AI violently turn 5-10 degrees many times. So the idea was scrubbed
  15. I sent my Red Flag 81-2 campaign to SpudSpike , hoping he would do a playthrough video but instead, he knocked it out of the park with this in depth preview and epic in game footage. Be sure to check it out!
  16. OK, I think I found a way to fine tune it. The secret is to push the next follow task before the AI settles in the briefed position. However, they still throttle back when turning, I have to control over that. Also, it's a very dynamic environment, with 3 squadrons weaving, it's not 100% bulletproof, but I think I managed to make it better.
  17. I've been experimenting a bit, I found a workaround for the top cover squadron (mission 4 for example) but when you're one of the weaving squadrons, it's not really possible...
  18. I wish there was a smoother way, but I'm already pushing the AI's limit to make them fly racetracks over a moving plane.
  19. The bombers fly at 160 so your flight lead does the same before starting the 360 turn. Catch up- escort- 360- repeat. it’s always been like this except you didn’t notice because you couldn’t catch up.

  22. I tested and works fine for me. There should be soldiers in front on 1 and 2 blocking them. If they're not there, or they run away at mission start for you it's because your install is somehow corrupted. Probably due to unofficial mods. 1) uninstall all unofficial mods. Delete them. (let me know which ones you had) 2) delete the contents of your metashaders and fxo folders 3) run a slow repair 4) try again
  23. The Save Game feature is finally here. It's a great step in the right direction, and I'm sure it will be improved down the line and make DCS a more user friendly experience. BUT You need to remember that I have the same access to DCS as you: the mission editor. I can guarantee that my missions work, but I cannot guarantee that the save game feature does. Based on official communication this first iteration is currently aimed more at simple missions, not extremely complex ones like my campaigns, where all sorts of triggers and scripts are firing all the time. So please do not post any bug reports that happened AFTER you saved and loaded a mission, because I'll have no way of figuring it out. I'm sure ED will keep improving the feature based on user feedback and one day you'll be able to save the most complex missions at any time. And that will be a real game changer. Thanks!
