  1. Here's a short tutorial on how to navigate in my Red Flag 81-2 DCS F-4 Phantom campaign. It's really not that difficult, the documentation and the visuals are extensive, if you follow the plan you'll hit your time on target to the second, I'm sure!
  2. Thanks you, I'm really happy you enjoyed it Now to try the Hornet version by Baltic for a different aspect of the story.
  3. Thanks! I love the Spit, but I really don't know what sort of campaign I could make with the maps we already have, that would be any different from what's already out there. If we ever get a Battle of Britain planeset, then sure.
  4. Good question! No, it will be one single mission file from start to finish, since the whole point of Red Flag is to practice and learn how to fly and survive a realistic combat mission. E.g. fuel management is an important part, as well as a debrief item. If I split the mission into parts, it couldn't be.
  5. Hi Dan, thanks for the test report I have updated it a few times recently but it’s great to hear that the triggers stood well against all those years of changes. the updated Normandy map is really a game changer isn’t it? Looks so much better than the original release I used when building this campaign in 2019.
  6. Perhaps that’s true but they also had YE/ZB
  7. This book was great, really helpful, thanks!
  8. It will be once we get the Hellcat
  9. If anyone has any good resources on mission procedures used by Hellcat (or other WWII USN) pilots, such as callsigns, radio procedures, formations, etc... I'd appreciate if they could post here. I've been researching the subject for over a year now and I still have a few missing pieces of the jigsaw. Also, please recommend some Hellcat pilot memoirs, those are usually the best source of info. Sadly, the ones I've read so far don't talk about the above too much. Thanks!
  10. Never use more than 46" of MP at 2700 RPM. If you want to apply more power, increase the RPM first.
  11. Thanks for the screenshots! I'm seeing 380 knots...remember, aerodynamics don't care about true airspeed, but indicated airspeed. That's what matters for maneuvers. TAS is for navigation.
  12. Nice! Slowly you'll keep adjusting the statics around the base to your own liking, then adding voices, and before you know you'll make a campaign That's how we all started
  13. Thanks for the heart warming feedback, I appreciate it!
  14. Nope. I explain why in the campaign announcement video.
  15. After the ai is let loose they may change places I have no control over that. You need to splash whichever bandit Chig locks
  16. Debden Eagles: 100% historical. Eveything that happens happened in real life. Nothing more nothing less. No changes for the sake of balance or fun. You mostly fly as a wingman. It can be fun if you get the hang of it, but you need to get the hang of the dcs ai. Bodney: it’s historical fiction. None of the events happened, the missions are realistic but also balanced, fun and versatile. You’ll be leading a squadron mostly. so DE is a documentary, BNBOB is a Hollywood movie directed by Tom Hanks with great attention to details I hope it helps
  17. Check the ATIS and set the altimeter accordingly. Also it’s 450 KIAS not TAS. Also, send a screenshot of your gauges when it’s not triggering hut you think it should. the message history cna be opened by hitting escape then message history. I need to see the last few lines.
  18. It’s because Heatblur didn’t update the mission in their repository even though I sent them the updated mission 3 months ago. Please open the mission from the campaign folder, that’s the updated version already. @IronMike
  19. Thank you so much for sharing, it makes me very happy to read this Debden Eagles is, I think, my hardest ww2 campaign, maybe better to start with Blue Nose Bastards. Zone 5 works very well as a sequel to SnA. BTW I just submitted my Red Flag 81-2 campaign to ED, it will complement MiG killers nicely as it’s 80% air to ground. Thanks again!
  20. Here's a walkthrough of the Departure and Recovery procedures at Nellis AFB in the early 80s, that you'll be expected to follow in the Red Flag 81-2 F-4 Campaign too.
  21. There's no zone that you need to be in, just at the right altitude. Have you set your altimeter properly? Send me a screenshot of your message history menu please.
  22. You can still send your dcs.log file from saved games/logs If nothing works you can still open the 2nd part directly from dcs/mods/campaigns/the big show, play it, then skip it in the campaign menu
  23. Once you align your mavs you need to reset the TGP otherwise it will be offset.
