Hold the switch!! Argg... got it! Thanks. So in real life how would they get the course, since a carrier could be heading any direction? But for now everyone uses the F10 map? Ok. Thanks once more!
-
How do you get the Course Line of the Stennis? In Wag's Case I video he enters 000 for the course, but how do you find out the course of any carrier? Also, in his video he enters Tacan 55x and sets his HSI to TCN and click the CRS switch and then there is a button for CSEL on the UFD. But I don't ever get that option on the UFD. CSEL never appears for me to enter any course line even if I knew it.. I tried contacting the Stennis and selecting Inbound and it said xxxx, Runway 11 to pattern altitude.. is that the carrier's course line? Is that how you normally get it? EDIT: Hmm.. I flew parallel to the carrier and my heading was 240. So, 11 must not be it.

Yea, this kind of thing gets fixed in a patch or two. Just annoying there have been several Triple-Monitor bugs in the past few months.. And they've been fixed with no mention of it in the patch notes. Sent from my Moto Z Play using Tapatalk

I have my center monitor functioning as my menu screen. But that only fixed the shadow bug. It didn't fix this arming menu bug. I have to change my resolution to 1920x1080 / 1 Monitor to use the arming menu in the Mission Editor or in game. Then change it back. PLEASE FIX THIS! :joystick:

Do you use Radios+SRS+VAICOM+Teamspeak/Discord together? How??
Snacko replied to Snacko's topic in DCS Modding
Thanks for the Reply Wolf! It's very helpful to see how you set this up. So you can have VoiceAttack/VIACOM and SRS running at the same time? And when you press (for example) Mic switch forward, all these things happen at the same time? VIACOM presses it's TX1 PTT SRS Selects Radio 1 Discord mutes while pushed? Are you using Easy Comms? -
Like the title says. How do you use Radios+SRS+VAICOM+Teamspeak/Discord together in Real Comms mode? I have been flying for a while, but never got very deep into using the radios because I had enough to learn, and found it a bit confusing. I kept it on Easy Comms for many years. Now I am looking to improve my Comms experience and maybe fly more online. So, needless to say I am a noob at the Comms and may have some(or much) of this wrong.. I've been wondering how users have their Comms mapped to their HOTAS for a while now. Which bindings are most important? The way I see it you need a ton of buttons just for comms. Let's take a worst case for example. The A10c: 3 Radio PTT buttons 3+ SRS PTT buttons?? Channel Up, Down, PTT? 3+ VAICOM PTT buttons?? TX1, TX2, TX3? 1 Teamspeak/Discord PTT button? ---- 10 buttons? That can't be right! What a I missing? Can someone explain how these all work together? And what would be the bare minimum button assignments? Thanks, and Cheers! Snacko

How to get Trimmer controls working in DCS?
Snacko replied to TEMPEST.114's topic in VKB-SIM Flight Gear
I set this up today and it works great!! You can even set that left hat up to be like the Master Mode hat in that it also can have a POV and then with a long press you can switch to the axis. And with a short press you can reset the trimmer axis. So, now I have the trimmer and reset on that left hat, plus 4 POV(8 if you want to set it up for more) buttons. And also the center Master Mode had works the same way. So, I actually added 4 extra buttons to my stick!! And have axis trimmer on any aircraft. Sweet! -
How to get Trimmer controls working in DCS?
Snacko replied to TEMPEST.114's topic in VKB-SIM Flight Gear
Have you seen this? I have downloaded the new firmware(v.1.95A) and tested it on a default setup and it seems to be working. You can have your hat trim the center of your joystick axis within the VKB firmware. I have not had a chance to add this to my current configuration to test it yet. -

DCS 2.5 and ReShade question
Snacko replied to blueskunk's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Yes, this is JSGME compatible. The files are in the Bin folder because DCS has it's program files (DCS.exe) in that bin folder. The ReShade files always need to be in the same folder with the game that they are being used. That's how it works.... When a game/exe runs, it first looks in it's own folder for needed files and uses them. If they are not there, then it looks at the Windows System paths and system folders for them. So, to override your installed DX dlls, you put these in the game's folder and it uses these instead. I've updated to ReShade 3.2.2 Dx10 and that works fine. The main problem that I've had in the past was with ReShade causing the game to crash on loading.. It turned out to be other game overlays. I had FRAPS running... If you have any problems, make sure it works with other games. If it does, the make sure you have no overlays at all running in the background. I think there might have been one other app that also had an overlay. I cannot remember what it was now. But you can always just close every app in your SysTray, one at a time to see which one may be causing crashes.. Cheers. -

Thrustmaster TPR Peddals Mounting Idea
Snacko replied to mytai01's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
So is it because their connected at the top and they are then top heavy? I was hoping to get these, but I have wood floors, so no spikes. And I have a triple-screen with a Volair Sim pit, so it's not feasible to push a board up against a wall.. Are people complaining about this problem of sliding/moving? -
That would be great if he could also make it appear in VR. I have no idea how to do that. A standalone app would not appear in VR.

Is Anti-Skid supposed to be On for Carrier Ops/Takeoff?
Snacko replied to Snacko's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Manual says even if it's On, it's not engaged under 10 knots. Maybe the Checklist page is just for 'general' takeoff's and you need to know the difference yourself? The manual doesn't say if the Checklist page is for Runway or Carrier takeoffs.. So it's probably both? -
Just like the title says. I've read that it should be Off, but I get an Advisory on it in the DDI Checklist if it's not On. The manual says it should be Off for Carrier Ops. Is this a bug?

I don't see any explaination of how to use this chart. Can you explain what the colors mean, and what the 2 percentages mean? % (%)

Just found this!! Awesome tool. Great work! I'm a bit confused about the Launch, VR/ON, VR/OFF buttons, and Options Preset selection. I thought selecting the Options Preset: Default VR Headset, or just VR Headset and clicking Launch would be enough to select the VR settings and launch the game. So why are the VR/ON and VR/OFF buttons needed? I watched your video twice and didn't see these explained. Thanks.

All My Mods respect themselves. And are not zipped. And the first thing you should do to protect your SSD's life is to disable any Auto Defragging. It's unnecessary.. Sent from my Moto Z Play using Tapatalk

I think a lot of people already have checklists to use? I would do that first. Sent from my Moto Z Play using Tapatalk

Triple Monitor - And the shadows are F***'ed up once again!
Snacko replied to Snacko's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
Thanks, I didn't know that. But it shouldn't cause a bug if you have it commented out to use the full screen for the UI. But I had to comment it out so I could use the ReArm ReFuel menus in the game. so it's a Catch22. -
Have you considered making it an app so you could open/close/resize it with hotkeys? And make it stay on top of the game window when it's visible? You could still embed an browser container in an app if you want.

My super Ghetto VR input solution
Snacko replied to lucky-hendrix's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
This idea made me look at my small wireless Logitech M185 mouse that I never use. I wonder if I get another one and take it apart, I could attach it's buttons to a glove and move my thumb over the laser to move the mouse and then click. I see BestBuy has them for $9.99. I could switch the original off and the glove on. Worth a look I think... -
I don't know why this doesn't work for you guys. All I did was comment out the UIMainView line. See pic below..
